Olivia's POV:
Alex stood up before puffing on his cigarette. "Why are you here?" he asked, and I stood up as well before standing in front of him.
"I heard what happened."
"I understand if you hate me," he said while avoiding eye contact with me. He looked out of the window, and I couldn't see his face clearly, but I knew he was hurting.
"I can never hate you; I already told you."
"That was before you thought it was balance; you thought since we both got involved in accidents then everything was equal, but news flash... My mother wasn't involved in any accident," Alex said painfully. I walked closer and hugged him from behind, then rested my head on his back.
"We are not talking about us right now; what your mom did is so unbearable. We could talk about how you feel instead," I said, breaking the hug and he kicked the small coffee table.
