"What should I do, Nana?"
Speaking in a low voice, Nana questioned herself, wondering if there was any point in continuing these blind dates.
Ever since Bella Gordon married Roy Thompson, she hadn't seen him again. She'd automatically blocked out all information about him, even deliberately walking away whenever someone brought him up. It wasn't for any other reason than to hope she could forget him sooner, start her own life, and stop worrying her parents.
But as easy as it was to think about, it proved incredibly difficult in practice. Despite years of effort, she ultimately ended up defeated.
Nana leaned against the sofa by the dining table, exhaustedly closed her eyes, and found herself sinking into a deep state of confusion.
