Following the man into a ward teeming with people, a frail elder lay on the bed, an IV drip hanging above him.
The man brought Kiara over, addressing his father,
"Dad, this is—"
"I handle various affairs in the city," Kiara gestured to the man to be quiet.
The man explained that his father was very superstitious, and to someone of his age, the career of a psychologist was unheard of. It would require a tedious explanation, and it was easier to just say she was a "celebrated figure" who managed affairs in the city—an identity that the elder was more likely to believe.
"That's right, Dad, she is a great master, a 'Fairy' from the city, truly incredible." The man played along with Kiara.
