The meeting at the TV station was intended to address recent issues and adjust show arrangement.
Obviously, the discussion would include plans for "Big Adventure". Brennan Wright had thoroughly prepared for this, had thought about how to explain his switch to a rival company after returning to the show, he could handle everything smoothly.
Presumably, everyone thought "Big Adventure" would eventually return to him. But when naming the person to support the program, the Director didn't glance at Brennan at all, and chose to directly tell another host: "You've also had experience hosting 'Big Adventure', now is the time we need you..."
Upon hearing the Director's words, everyone was surprised.
Nearly everyone had turned their gaze to Brennan Wright, wondering why it didn't match their expectations.
What's more, throughout the meeting, the Senior Director didn't mention Brennan Wright or Jessi Summers, as if they didn't exist at all.
