"No need," Joseph Thompson flatly refused without thinking, "Go ahead now; you can hail a taxi at the platform ahead. Just follow this address, and I'll come to join you once I finish my errands."
While Joseph Thompson spoke, he had already handed over a note. Written on it was the address of Mateo Torres's residence.
Since Joseph had said as much, Jaylene didn't want to impose by following him. Besides, she couldn't pester him about the matter if he chose not to disclose it.
"Then hurry over. I'm not close with your foster father, so I might not know what to talk about."
After giving this reminder, she pushed open the car door and got out. Lifting her hand, she waved at Joseph, who was too busy even to wave back and quickly drove away.
Jaylene sighed softly before heading to the platform - she still had to catch a taxi to Joseph's foster father's place.
