Butler Luka had already prepared the meal, and the dining table was set up in the pavilion in the courtyard, where Justin Hansen joined them.
The setting sun cast a golden glow on the shimmering lake surface, and when viewed from midhill, it sparkled brilliantly.
The evening breeze blew gently, making the villa on the midhill exceptionally peaceful, and dinner was accompanied by the fragrance and birdsongs.
Both Professor Torres and Justin Hansen were doctors, and perhaps they were accustomed to not chatting at the dinner table, so the meal was quiet, with no one speaking.
The braised Pacu fish was delicious, tender and fresh. Joseph Thompson was very attentive to Jaylene, always picking the fish meat with few bones from the belly and putting it in her bowl, making her blush under Justin Hansen's smile.
During the entire meal, Jaylene hardly touched her chopsticks, as Joseph handled most of the serving for her, and all she needed to do was eat.
