"What do you want me to do?" she asked quietly, her voice like a mosquito's. His eyes, like blades of ice, looked even more terrifying up close.
Kevin Cliff released her, adjusted to a more comfortable position, and said, "You can start now."
Charlotte was taken aback, not understanding at first what he wanted her to start.
