"Could you please show me that tie clip?" Charlotte Green pointed to a tie clip in the cabinet, identical to the one Kevin Cliff had, and asked the clerk.
She hadn't forgotten that his tie clip was ruined while helping her retrieve the star bracelet, and she wanted to give him an exact replacement, using the money she had saved up herself.
Since her hand had been injured, he hadn't made things difficult for her, although they continued to live like strangers.
Now, half a month had passed, and her hand had mostly healed, save for the nails that hadn't grown back, looking blunt and unsightly, but otherwise, it was a normal hand. Only, she could no longer touch the piano.
