"Is that the way to talk to your new boss?" The caller asked and she immediately knew who it was.
"Not till tomorrow, you're not." Tessy replied.
"Well that has to change. I need a female partner for a grand banquet tonight." He said.
"So?" She asked nonchalantly.
"You're the only one that comes to mind. Since you start tomorrow, I just thought of making you start a few hours earlier, how's that?"
"I'm busy tonight." She lied without hesitation.
"Then you'll have to change your plans. You either accept or I'll tell everyone what you did." He threatened which got her alarmed.
"Then..."
"Just agree to it and everything's settled." He said. Tessy didn't have any other option. Besides, it wasn't like she was actually busy.
"Alright. What time is it?" She finally gave in.
"It's 8pm. I'll send you a dress and pick you up then." He said and before she could object to it, he cut the call.
