Synopsis
This is my first work from ao3 and I’m trying to learn how to use this. Tommy was a ‘ordinary’ boy working at a cafe until he found a super villain in a alleyway… why did he help him?

Chapter 1 - A mistake or a blessing

He is serving an unruly Karen and is seconds away from striking this bitch. He could care less about the coffee in his hair, what he cared about was this woman was insulting the cafe.

Niki walks in from the back before he could strike the bitch.

Niki is the lovely woman that owns the cafe he works at. Niki walks beside him.

"Mrs what seems to be the problem?" Niki asks in a sweet voice.

"This idiot gave me the wrong coffee!" The Karen huffs.

Niki looks at him, seeing the coffee on his apron and the coffee cup without its lid in the Karen's hand.

"Is that the coffee currently on my employee?" Niki asks in a customer service voice with something sharp in it.

"Well this little rat gave me the wrong coffee and asked to see so I showed him." The Karen spits out.

"I'm fine Niki, the coffee didn't hurt that much." He says.

Shortly after saying that he decides to wash it out in the sink. He turns around and walks to the back not listening to the conversion any more.

When he enters the back he goes to the sink and turns it on putting his head under the running water, washing out the coffee. When he feels like he cleaned out the coffee he pulls his head from the water and turns it off.

He opens the cabinet above the sink. There's a first-aid kit and some towles. He always thought it looked like a medical cabinet but he never really thought about why it was in the back.

He takes a towel and rubs it in his head to get the water and left over coffee out. When he feels compatible with the dryness of his hair he throws the towel into a basket and goes back to the front. When he gets back to the main room he sees Niki closing up shop.

"Isn't it a bit early to be closing?" He asks grabbing his bag walking over to Niki.

"It is but I have something important to do and I don't want to leave you at the cafe at this hour of the night. Niki says. Oh can you also go give these to the food bank in east L'manburg."

Niki walks over to him placing a box of cookies in his hands.

"Ok Niki I'll go do that, bye!"He says walking to the door.

He opens the door and walks out looking both ways for any shady figures. When he sees none he walks the direction of east L'manburg.

He puts on a mask while walking and takes off his apron and puts it in his bag as well as putting the cookies in his bag. The mask makes bandits think he's in some kind of gang, so they don't try to rob him while he's walking home. He honestly thinks it's funny that a simple black mask makes them think he's in a gang.

He doesn't realize until he stops that he's at the food bank. The food bank is a lot better looking than the buildings around it, probably because it is one of the only things in the lower parts of L'manburg that the government funds, the only other one being the shity police stacion which doesn't really do much other than yell at vigalants.

He shakes his head to clear his thoughts and walks up the stairs of the food bank, opening the door and walking in. The people at the food bank aren't scared of him because of how often he's here. He's honestly quite proud he's been giving food here long enough for them to remember him.

"Nice to see your masked face again Tommy, what did you bring this time?" The person at the front desk askes.

"Some cookies Niki made!" He says proudly.

"Ooo all the children really like those." The person at the front desk says.

He takes the box of cookies out of his bag and puts it on the front desk.

"Make sure they share." He says before leaving.

When he got down the stairs he headed to the tube line, but before he got there his eyes got a glimpse of something shiny and he stops. He hears huffing and when he looks into the alleyway he sees he automatically knows why he saw something shiny.

Standing in the alleyway holding a slash on their hip was Blade. Blade was using the wall to hold themself up and was looking at their shaking legs.

He knows he should run and call the police, but shivered at the thought of leaving someone that can barely walk. Before he could properly think things over he was speaking.

"Hey, do you need some help? He asks. I can heal that cut for you."

Blade snaps their head up and looks at him.

"What's the catch?" The Blade asks.

It takes him a few seconds to remember that the favor system is very strict.

"Don't kill me for seeing you hurt?" He says since he doesn't even know why he's helping Blade in the first place.

"You really know nothing about the underground huh kid?" Blade says his voice sounding wolfish.

"Do you want help or not and I'm not a kid!" He says matter of factly.

"Fine, just come help me." Blade says dragging their hand off the wall and stands shaking.

He jogs over to Blade and grabs them, taking them far enough that people passing by can't see them.

"Ok I'm going to need to check if there's anything in the cut, is that ok?" He asks.

"I'm no fucking Siren, I can handle some pain!" Blade retorts lifting the part of their shirt that the slash is on.

"Ok let's do this." He says starting to work.

Blade and him bicker while he takes out all the pieces of fabric and other debris that found its way in the slash. When he finally gets everything out of Blades hip he stops the bickering.

"Ok I'm done with the hard part now, I have to warn you that my healing power makes hybrids fall into their instincts for like 10-20 minutes so if you don't want that to happen I can just help you call someone or something like that." He says so Blade knows what's going to happen.

"Ok kid." Blade agrees.

"Not a kid." He shoots back before letting his powers run through his hands on to the slash.

Blade starts to speak piglin or at least he thinks the honks, snorts, and chuffs are piglin. He doesn't speak piglen.

It takes about 5 minutes for Blades hip to be healed. When Blade is healed he gets up and stops the flow of magic.

The Blade chuffs and does grabby hands. He has to hold in an awww at seeing the villain try to get him to come back.

"Sorry big man, I have to go home. It's getting late and I have work in the morning." He informs the villain, leaving without seeing The Blade's response.

He runs to the tube line and runs down the stairs. Lucky for him a train to Lognenshire enters the station when he gets to the platform.

He gets on the train and the first thing he looks at is a man in a mustard yellow sweater that seems to have blue stains and their skin is gray and translucent.

"What the hell is a ghost doing on a train?" He asks, sitting next to the ghost.

"What's someone from Logninshir doing in L'manburg at this hour of night?" The ghost asks back.

"Fair point." He says with defeat in his voice.

"You sound sad. The ghost says. Do you want some blue?"

"What's blue?"He asks.

"Here, have some."The ghost says.

The ghost gives him some blue and he can feel himself get less sad.

"Thank you." He mutters.

After a minute of silence the ghost speaks up.

"I'm Ghostbur. The ghost known as Ghostbur says. What's your name?"

"I'm Tommy."He says.

"Nice to meet you Tommy." Ghostbur chimes.

Suddenly a phone starts to ring and Ghostbur pulls a phone from XD knows where and answers it. The train stops and he gets off but before he leaves the station he sees Ghostbur turn into a man with a green bit of skin with staples all around it with red eyes and in a brown trenchcoat.

He walks up the stairs and walks home. His "home" is just a tent but it's all he has so he has to deal with it till he can find a way out of this hell hole.

When he gets there and gets in he face plants into the sleeping bag. He was asleep before he even hit the bag.
