We went outside to take a close look at the dead bodies. The queen mother told me to stay inside if I didn't feel like seeing them. She thought I would be scared of their sight. If only she knew that I had been killed in battle before.
At the entrance were two bodies covered with white clothes. Four guards stood behind the corpse.
Alistair gave the orders, and they removed the white clothes.
I still remember what they looked like. Two pale-skinned girls who looked as white as snow. Their eyes shut, and strange marks were found on their necks.
They still had the dresses they wore. I drew closer and noticed that the marks on their necks were injuries, and it was the exact one I had on my neck.
My heart skipped as I took a step back unconsciously. What does this mean? Did they have the mark before, or did they just get it yesterday? Could it be that the killer was killing everyone with the mark?
