We got to the main palace. Everyone stood at the entrance waiting for us. The queen mother insisted that we were all late and failed to keep to time. Alistair apologized on our behalf, saying something had come up, and we were delayed.
I wondered what it was. As far as I can remember, he bathed late, and we ended up late.
"But your daughter was ready on time, we delayed her," he added. My parents were impressed. They all smiled at me like proud parents.
"Let's begin the process," grandmother interrupted at that moment. It was clear that she did not care if I was early or not. She just wanted to be done with this. "I invited the royal priest."
"Granny, there is no need for that," Alistair said. He did not like that she invited the man of God. I wondered what was wrong with that. We are all Christians…there is nothing wrong with having a man of God in our mist.
