Among his friends, Lord Anekroi and Lord Stragoi were his best. He could discuss anything with them.
Alistair stood up from the throne as he walked towards their table. The women were busy with his bride. He wondered how long they would keep advising a liar like her.
"Can I join you?" He asked when he got to the table. They were surprised to see him.
"Why not, your highness?" Lord Anekroi drew a seat for him. Alistair sighed. There was no need for any of these. He wanted them to treat him the same.
"Your bride is so beautiful," Lord Stragoi added. His black Raven hair was tied to the back with a clip which was nearly invisible. A smile crept to his face as his eyes rested in Arabella's direction. "So what's the story behind this woman? You never wanted to get married. All of a sudden, you sent an invitation with a short notice."
