Chapter 30 - Nostalgia

Inside the military base, the survivors were split into groups, some receiving weapon training from Audrey and Isabella, while others ventured outside to scavenge for supplies and secure the defenses. Chloe and Harmony were among those helping with training, instructing the survivors on how to handle weapons effectively.

Meanwhile, Aaron, Chloe, and Favour remained within the space ring. They lounged comfortably on his bed that provided ample space for the trio. As they relaxed, the conversation turned nostalgic.

Favour, a sly grin on her face, glanced at Aaron. "Remember the time when you tried to cook dinner, Aaron? The entire kitchen turned into a battlefield, and Chloe had to step in to rescue us from certain doom."

Chloe chuckled at the memory. "Yeah, I came over to hang out with Favour, and I ended up becoming Aaron's personal chef."

Aaron couldn't help but laugh, recalling the culinary disaster. "In my defense, I was trying to make spaghetti. Who knew boiling water could be so tricky?"

Favour rolled her eyes playfully. "Spaghetti? You nearly set the kitchen on fire with a pot of boiling water. Chloe, who came over just to chat with me, ended up teaching you how to make instant noodles instead."

Chloe added with a grin, "And then, Aaron tried to impress us with his 'culinary skills' by making toast. It was almost a disaster again, but we managed to save the day."

Aaron mockingly hung his head in shame. "Toast, the ultimate culinary challenge."

Favour, her smile filled with playful jealousy, teased, "And then, of course, there was that time when Chloe was supposed to be my friend, but she ended up bonding more with you. Remember that?"

Chloe playfully nudged Favour. "Oh, come on, Favour. Aaron and I bonded over our mutual love for video games and bad action movies."

Aaron added with a chuckle, "Yeah, Favour, don't be jealous. You were always the baby of the family, and you still are."

Favour grinned mischievously. "Aaron, do you remember the time you tried to fix the plumbing in our house, and we ended up with a mini indoor waterfall?"

Aaron chuckled, his face turning slightly red with embarrassment. "Yeah, I thought I could be a handyman for once. Turned out, I was more like a waterworks engineer."

Chloe joined in, adding her own tale. "I remember the time I tried to surprise Favour by baking a cake for her birthday. It turned into a kitchen disaster, with flour and batter everywhere."

Favour chuckled, her eyes twinkling with fondness. "It was the thought that counted, Chloe. Besides, it was one unforgettable birthday."

Their laughter filled the space ring, mingling with the warmth of their shared stories. But there were more memories to cherish.

Aaron began with a warm smile as he thought of his parents. "I remember the time Dad tried to teach me how to ride a bike. He was so patient, running alongside me as I wobbled all over the place."

Chloe chuckled softly, appreciating the story. "And I remember your mom, Aaron. She used to bake the most delicious apple pies. But that one time, she accidentally left it in the oven for hours, and it turned into a charred brick."

Favour joined in, "And that time Mom used to love gardening, and one day, she asked me to help her. I ended up pulling out all the flowers instead of the weeds."

Chloe leaned on Aaron's chest and said with a soft smile. "Aaron, do you remember when your parents caught us playing dress-up in their room? We'd covered ourselves in their clothes and makeup, thinking we were so sneaky."

Aaron grinned, the memory bringing a nostalgic twinkle to his eyes. "They walked in, and we froze like deer in headlights. Mom just laughed and said we looked adorable, while Dad couldn't stop teasing us for weeks with the pictures."

Favour followed Chloe's lead and also relaxed on Aaron's chest and added her own story. "I remember when we accidentally broke Mom's favorite vase. We tried to glue it back together, but it was never the same. Mom just hugged us and said the vase was old, but we were irreplaceable."

Chloe simply smiled when she heard that, truth be told her biological family was still very much alive but her mother and father didn't really like her much saying "you are the reason everything fell apart" and similar comments every day.

They would forget about her for days and sometimes weeks forcing her to become independent very quickly, learning how to cook through YouTube and experiments, eventually, her parents relationship fell apart, well it was never really together though but this time it truly broke down and none of them even tried to fix it and so they just regularly settled for throwing her to the other partner and repeat until, Chloe met Favour and proceeded to have a crush on her.

To be honest she never told favour before because she was very sure the girl was straight so she settled for being her friend, at least she would still be close to her, and previously Favour had suffered with very intense low self-esteem because of her legs conditions, so she didn't want to trigger her in anyway and ruin the beautiful friendship they shared. But as luck would have it someone reported her parents for their neglect and Favours parents offered to take care of her. It was a complicated process but eventually all the documents were signed.

Favour continued. "Bro, do you remember when we all got lost in the woods during a camping trip? We spent hours trying to find our way back, and we were so scared."

Aaron grinned, the memory bringing a nostalgic twinkle to his eyes. "We finally stumbled upon a friendly raccoon that led us back to the campsite. We named him Rocky and left him some snacks as thanks."

Chloe, her cheeks flushed crimson, tried to speak but found herself stuttering and struggling to look at Favour. "I-I r-remember when we w-were kids, F-Favour, and you were t-tanning under the s-sun. I-I couldn't help but... I m-mean, y-your body was s-so…"

Aaron chuckled, teasing her gently. "Chloe, it sounds like you were quite captivated by Favour's sunbathing."

Favour blushed as she seemed to recall the weird gazes she felt that day.

Chloe nodded, still unable to meet Favour's gaze. "Y-yeah, it was just... you know, really attractive."

Their laughter filled the space ring, mingling with Chloe's adorable shyness and stutters. These were moments of vulnerability and warmth, a testament to the enduring bonds of their friendship and the joy of shared memories.

Favour, equally shy and flushed, hesitated for a moment before finally gathering the courage to speak. "Chloe, you know, I've had my moments too." She averted her gaze, her fingers nervously fidgeting with the fabric of her clothing. "I remember one time when we were changing in the girls' room, and you... well, you looked incredible. I couldn't help but be attracted too."

Chloe's eyes widened, and her stuttering increased as she stammered, "Y-y-you liked me too?"

Favour nodded, her blush deepening. "Yes, Chloe, I really did. I just never knew how to say it."

Aaron grinned, enjoying the hotness, I mean who wouldn't enjoy two girls confessing to each other, he was one step closer to a threesome and his dick rose at the thought of the challenge causing both of the girls to smack his head and run out shyly.

He smiled bitterly at his foiled plan as he looked downwards wondering why life was like a penis... Often hard for no reason!
