Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: Her Supposed wedding

She was worried and extremely nervous , all who saw her could detect the worry on her face. It was her wedding day but she had to go to her husband's kingdom to be wedded.

Princess Lily clasped her hands together. She did not know these men that were taking her to her new home. How could she trust them?, they were all strong and gruff looking . They looked like kidnappers and she was scared. What if they kidnapped her and later asked for money, after all, she was still and the only princess of Caebrth kingdom .

" Do not worry your highness " one of the gruff looking men spoke as if reading her thoughts . He showed her the royal seal belonging only to officials in Ashty kingdom " We are here to escort you to Ashty kingdom " He bowed after speaking.

Hesitantly, she walked after them. Caebrth was the only place she had ever known and now she was leaving it behind. She would miss everyone especially her mother . Princess Lily could not understand why she had to go to her husband's kingdom to be wedded when normally it had to be the opposite but then again, Ashty kingdom was no ordinary and normal kingdom. She had heard of the rumours surrounding the kingdom. The kingdom was known for sorcery, but no one dared to openly say this. Ashty kingdom was one of the major suppliers of food and steel to the neighbouring kingdoms . They were extremely good when it came to war as they have never been conquered in battle before and so the were greatly feared by the neighbouring kingdoms.

Princess Lily was to be wedded to the last and third prince of Ashty. She did not know what he was like and so she was scared. Men of royal status often had more than one wives and a lOT of mistress. This scared her

What if she was the third or fourth wife?, Would her husband get rid of her when he was bored with her? ,Would she be maltreated? . So many questions that she could not provide answers to . She felt really helpless and inferior as a woman , her future was always decided by her father and she could do nothing to change it. Helplessly, she opened the window of the carriage and allowed the cool breeze to calm her nerves as she prepared to live in a world she was not acquainted with.
