BOOM!
The door to Zane's house burst into splinters as he entered. His anger was unmatched at that very moment.
Zane knew that the chances of Chris' betrayal were high, in fact he was pretty sure that Chris would betray him but that did not mean he didn't have the right to be angry.
What infuriated him more was that he had promised his father that his secrets would remain secrets, but now because of Chris, most probably everyone in Willow knew of them.
"Fuck!" Zane cursed. Chris was a Mage and obviously he couldn't hide from Zane. If he was anywhere in a hundred meter radius, Zane would see his core, walls weren't an obstacle.
"I guess I'll have to wait for him then" Zane said as he sat crosslegged in front of the broken door.

"Not happening, i need to talk to then kill that traitor" Zane announced.

"You sure?"

He then walked to his room and fell asleep as soon as his head touched the mattress.

"So he didn't come?" Zane yawned as he stood up to feel the sun coming through the window.

"What!?" Zane shouted as he quickly looked around the house he only calmed down when he couldn't find Chris anywhere.

"You got a point there, but don't lie to me ever again, that's an order" Zane said.

In the end, Zane put the matter of Chris behind him and went to school. He however had to move carefully because he didn't want to be seen by large groups of people.
Even though he was now good at it and was very powerful, Zane still wasn't a fan of fights.
Entering the training hall, he saw that he was the last one to arrive. Everyone else was already training with their Mages.
Zane had started spreading his mana dust and looking around to find Bella when....
BANG!
He was sent flying and smashed into the wall, leaving a human-shaped imprint on it. Zane had seen the attack coming but it was to fast for him to parry so he could only block, which he successfully did but the power behind the attack was too much for him to handle.
"You're late!" Bella shouted as she dashed towards Zane with a follow up attack.
"Sorry i overslept!" Zane answered as he ducked under the incoming kick and rolled away to safety.
Upon raising his head Zane was flabbergasted to see Bella's body spinning towards him like a drill.
"Shit how am i supposed to block that!!" he shouted.
Bella's body was horizontal with her hands outstretched above her head. Her speed was insane!.
'How on earth is she defying gravity!?' Zane's mind was going into overdrive right then. Doing multiple calculations.
"Fuck!" in a last ditch effort, Zane turned his back to the oncoming Bella and took two steps before jumping as high as he could and performing a backflip.
Zane was elated as he saw Bella's body passing under him. It was like time was going at quarter it's normal speed. However that's when he saw Bella's leg rising.
Bella's attack had turned into a horizontal spinning kick!, and since Zane couldn't dodge in mid air, the kick exploded on his thigh.
BOOM!
BANG!
Due to the momentum from Bella's spinning motion, the kick had about 250% more power. It slammed on Zane's leg, effectively deleting it from reality.
Zane smashed onto the ground, making a large dust cloud appear. The commotion had attracted the attention of everyone else and they stopped their training to take a look.
Kieth, Ken and Charlotte in particular ran to Zane, they were worried for his safety.
"Ohh shit" Bella was seem biting her fingernails, she was terrified at the possibility of killing her student.
Before the dust even settled, coughing was heard coming from the crater Zane created when he landed.
"That was awesome, you gotta teach me that move!" he said. Bella, along with Zane's new acquaintances heaved an sigh of relief.
The dust soon cleared and Zane was seen standing up "How did you do that!?, can you fly?" he asked, one couldn't miss the admiration in his eyes.
"What made you---"
BAM!
Zane was about to ask another question when he suddenly fell face first onto the ground.
"Huh what's..." he looked at his legs and that's when he noticed that he was missing one.
"That's concerning" he chuckled as his leg started growing back. As usual, the spectators were amazed once more.
They saw Zane's bones start to form, followed by the muscles then the blood vessels and lastly the skin. Zane then stood up and stomped the ground a little to get a feel of his new leg.
Noticing the shocked gazes of everyone, Zane felt like he should give an explanation "I figured out that it uses less mana to heal from the inside parts then outside, instead of everything simultaneously."
The others didn't say anything and just shook their heads before going back to their training, including Kieth, Ken and Charlotte.
"You're amazing" Bella said.
"And i will be even more amazing if you teach me that move" Zane smiled sweetly. Bella had to admit that he looked quite cute.
"Unfortunately it only works for me because i have the wind element. If you become a wind Mage i will teach you. By the way what's your aptitude anyway?" Bella asked.
"Promise you won't tell anyone?" Zane said. He wasn't really sad that he couldn't learn that move.
"I promise" Bella smirked.
Zane dramatically looked around before leaning closer to Bella "Lightning" he whispered.
Bella's eyes widened in surprise "Really!?"
Zane didn't say anything and just smiled as he put his finger on his mouth. Bella shook her head and the duo continued their training.

Some hours later and the day was over. Zane, Kieth, Ken and Charlotte were walking home, and Zane couldn't help but notice Charlotte was limping.
"Are you okay?" Zane asked, gesturing to her leg.
"Ohh yeah I just got careless and paid the price" She smiled. She had actually gotten injured when Zane got slammed onto the ground by Bella's attack.
"Can I hold your hand?" Zane asked.
Charlotte was surprised and her cheeks turned red as she faced the ground in embarrassment.
"Ahem!" Kieth cleared his throat while staring daggers at Zane.
"No no no, it's not like that I want to heal her" Zane elucidated.
"Ohh" Kieth nodded in relief. When Charlotte heard Zane's statement, she wasn't sure whether to be relieved or sad.
She then stretched her hand to Zane and they held hands. It didn't take long to heal her since it was just a small fracture which would have healed in two days.
"I think she's good now" Kieth said and Zane quickly took back his hand.

After walking in awkwardness for a few more minutes, they saw a group of four people standing in fron of them.
"Hey is that...." Before Ken could finish his statement...
"You son of a bitch!"
BOOM!
Zane took off in the direction of one of the men, leaving a dust cloud in his wake.
