"What do you want Peter?" David asked the five mages in front of them. Everyone except for Zane and maybe Chris knew that group. That was the hunter group led by a mage named Peter.
Peter's group of mages was actually the reason why David's team was the second strongest hunter group in the Willow city guild.
Even though Peter's team had two more people than David's team it was only stronger by a bit. Every member of David's team was stronger than every member of Peter's team.
However, Peter's team took the top spot due to numbers. There where other groups in the guild with more than 5 members but their mages only had average strength so they couldn't compete with Peter and David's teams.
All hunter teams working for the guild were not enemies, however there also weren't friends. If this confrontation had happened inside the city, no one would be thinking of a fight, however outside the city there weren't any rules.
Peter looked at David and his team with narrowed eyes. He knew that his team was stronger that David's. However it would be best to avoid a fight if possible. He knew very well that he and his team wouldn't come out unscathed even if they won.
That would be when they are fighting David's team only. However today Peter noticed another mage he didn't recognize next to David. That mage would tilt the scales so much that David's team might actually beat them.
Peter was also annoyed at his younger brother. 'Why didn't that idiot tell me the hunter group was David's team!?" he thought.
"We don't want to fight" Peter said.
"I didn't ask what you don't want, i asked what you want" David said. Peter's face just rubbed him the wrong way.
David's words infuriated Peter. These two have been rivals for a long time. No one knew why but they just didn't like each other. It also might have something to do with the fact that Peter once stole a girl from David.
"We want him" Peter pointed at Zane after calming down. Zane couldn't see this but he could tell from Peter's words that he pointed at someone.
"Who is he pointing at" he whispered to Chris.
"I'm not sure, let me ask" Chris replied.
"Excuse me!, Are you pointing at me or him?" Chris shouted, gesturing between himself and Zane. He obviously knew who the mage pointed at but...he was being Chris.
Also who could hurt him anyway?. The Juggernaut was here!.
"I am here for Zane" Peter said. He completely ignored Chris and said this to David. David, just like everyone else except for Chris was surprised when Peter pointed at Zane.
However David quickly found the reason why Zane was wanted by Peter and his team.
"Not gonna happen, we found him first" David said "Go find your own healer" he finished.
All this time Zane was slightly panicking. There where three possibilities as to who these people looking for him were.
The first possibility is that this mage was the 'teacher'. The second was that he was hired by or is related to that bandit leader. The last one was that it was someone else who found out about him, however that was unlikely.
"Healer?, so he can use healing mana huh?" Peter's smile turned into a smirk. A mortal healer was highly sought after by everyone. He had to get him alive!. Fuck his brother's revenge!.
David frowned when he realized Peter wasn't after Zane for his healing capabilities. He had immediately jumped to that because he didn't think of any other reason Zane would be wanted by them.
"Why do you want Zane?" he asked.
"It's none if your business" Peter snapped.
"Okay, well I can't give him to you if I don't know what you want him for" David said.
"Like you would hand him over even if you knew" Peter snorted.
"Maybe I would, maybe i wouldn't. What I do know is that fighting me is not in any of our best interests. So maybe if you tell me why you want Zane, I might just give him to you" David said.
Zane furrowed his brows "He wouldn't actually hand me over, would he?" he whispered to Adam.
"If John wasn't here it would be complicated, but since he is here and on our side, he won't hand you over" Adam confidently replied.
Zane heaved a sigh of relief. 'This group must be strong then. If they can make David think of handing me over without a fight' he thought.
Zane wanted to throw a mana bomb at the other group. However that might be interpreted as an attack, causing a fight to break out. Zane knew a fight was most likely inevitable, but it would be better if he wasn't the one to start it.
The worst part was that he still doesn't know who these people are or what they want with him.

Peter looked with narrowed eyes at David. David was right, Peter wanted to avoid a fight as much as possible, however he couldn't let go of a healer. Also this healer almost killed his brother!.
"Zane killed my brother's group of friends" Peter said. He had decided to just tell David the reason. It wouldn't change anything anyway.
'Bingo!. It's the bandit leader' Zane sighed in relief. He honestly felt that the threat of the bandit leader was the least troublesome of the three possibilities.
"You mean Zane almost killed Tyrone and his BANDITS" David emphasized the word 'bandit'. Tyrone was the name of the bandit leader. He was actually the most known mortal in Willow City.
The reason being his brother. Tyrone always made sure it was public knowledge that his brother was Peter, the leader of the strongest group in Willow.
"Whatever you want to call them the fact remains" Peter said, his anger once more rising. He REALLY didn't like David.
"Wait, sorry I gotta interfere here" Adam suddenly said as he went to stand in front of David. David nodded as a sign that he may talk.
"So you mean to tell me, that your famous young brother and his 'friends' where killed off by a blind man ?" Adam said.
"Look at him, I mean seriously look at him" Adam pointed at Zane. Zane could feel the eyes of everyone on him and for the first time in his two lives, he felt a hint of shyness.
"Your brother was almost killed by him!?. Aren't you ashamed to call Tyrone family?. I guess not since you are here trying to avenge him" Adam mocked.
"We were ambushed!" A voice shouted as Tyrone, the bandit leader, stepped out from behind Peter. He couldn't miss Peter kill Zane so he had followed along.
"Ohh my..." Adam dramatically held his head "That's even worse! your brother was ambushed by someone who is blind. Yet still you try to avenge him!?" he shouted before burst out laughing.
Zane also heard chuckles coming from the rest of the team. Adam then slowly walked back behind David, shaking his head in disappointment.
Meanwhile Zane could see water mana gathering on Peter's hand. He didn't know which of the five mana cores in the distance was Peter, but he guessed for him to be the one closest to them.
Zane quickly whispered his findings to David, who only smiled slightly and said "I know"
Everyone on David's team also started gathering their respective mana, John included.
"Tell me Peter" David said maliciously "Would you wipe your brother's ass if he shits himself?"
