The class settled down on their various seats, this time Alex was back at his seat with his brother and friends while Bea and Ranella sat together.
Teacher Silvia came in shortly after, she was the prettiest teacher in the magical school, she had long brown hair and sparkly green eyes, she was also the youngest teacher in Hidden High College, in her late twenties. She was in charge of teaching us Magical theory and principles. It provides a solid foundation of magical knowledge, covering topics such as the nature of magic, magical energy, powers casting techniques, and the laws that govern magical abilities.
"Good morning, magical students," She greeted with a smile on her face.
"Good morning Teacher Silvia!" They replied in unison.
"Today, we'll be talking about the fundamental concepts to understand magical theory and principles," Teacher Sylvia said, writing it on the board.
"Firstly, let's talk about genetic mutation, mutant abilities arise from a genetic mutation, a change in DNA that results in unique and extraordinary powers. These mutations can occur naturally or be triggered by external factors such as radiation, chemicals, or other genetic manipulation," She said.
"I hope you all are jotting it down," She said and they replied with a yes.
"Good," She said and proceeded with her explanations.
"Now, the variability, mutations can manifest in countless ways, resulting in a vast range of mutant abilities. Each mutant possesses a distinct set of powers that are a direct result of their specific genetic mutation. No two mutants are exactly alike, and their abilities can be as diverse as the individuals themselves," She said again and they nodded knowingly.
"As a teacher, my role is to guide and support you in your exploration of mutant theory, helping you develop and master your unique mutant abilities. So, let's dive deeper into the world of mutants and continue our journey of discovery!" Silvia said with a smile, causing some of the guys to gape at her beauty.
"Who knows what an X-gene is?" She asked and Charlotte was the only one with her hand up.
"Charlotte," She called and Charlotte stood up, sexily flipping her hair behind.
"Our powers are typically attributed to the presence of X-Gene, It is responsible for the development of mutant abilities and lies dormant until triggered, often during adolescence or time of stress," Charlotte said, her explanation was understandable.
"Correct, that's right, X-genes are extraordinary genes that exist in mutants," Silvia said giving Charlotte a thumbs-up. After some more explanations, Silvia dismissed the class and the students went their separate ways.
In the Cafeteria, Charlotte walked up to the boys who were silently having their meal, this time her coheirs were nowhere to be seen and weren't trailing behind her.
"Hey boys, what are your plans for my campfire party, going naked or what?" Charlotte asked, putting her legs on the table and crossing it.
"Would you please put your legs down while others are eating, it's bad manners," VC said, feeling disgusted at Charlotte for putting her legs on the table while they ate.
"I would do whatever I want VC, don't try to lecture me about manners," Charlotte said, laying back on the furniture.
"And no, we're not going naked to a party," Alex said.
"We might consider going shirtless, but not completely naked, my brother wouldn't allow it," Liam said with a smile, gazing into Charlotte's eyes.
"And you said we can bring anyone, any divine being at all, right?" Alex asked and she nodded, taking some fries and shoving it in her mouth. Alex knowingly glanced at Ranella and a smile appeared on his lips when he saw her happily chatting with her friends, Bea and Ed.
Bea and Ed left the Cafeteria before her and after tidying up where she ate, she proceeded to leave the cafeteria too, as soon as she was out of the cafe, without a word, Alex stood up and dashed after her.
"Ranella!" He called and she halted in her steps, turning to him.
"Alex?"
"Hey, what's up?" He asked.
"Good, I guess," She replied.
"Why did you run out here?" she asked, the weather was windy and it was blowing her hair across her face, so she tucked it behind her ear.
"To speak with you," He said.
"To speak with me?" She asked and he nodded, looking cute.
"I...there's a campfire party and I wanted you to come with me," He spoke out.
"Why me? I don't go to parties," She asked.
"That's exactly why I want you to come with me...Please, for the sake of our friendship," He said, taking a step closer and she took a step back, she was getting uncomfortable so fast so she nodded.
"Ok," She said.
"Great, I'll pick you up by 6, be ready by then," He said with a smile and then he embraced her before running off, causing her to scoff. She walked to the car waiting for her and met Cherry already inside, she was early nowadays, and she probably didn't want Ranella to go looking for her again, to avoid embarrassment.
Embarrassment, why did Alex invite her to a campfire party, wasn't he embarrassed by showing up with so some like her? What was his motive for inviting her? That was what her brain couldn't process. It was more than ambiguous information.
"Hey, why did you run out of the cafeteria earlier?" Liam asked when he bumped into Alex at the hostel hall.
"I went to see someone," Alex said.
"Let me guess, the chubby girl, what's your deal with her?" Liam asked he couldn't understand why his brother was always heeding that girl every time. When there were a lot of pretty girls around.
But he couldn't deny it, that girl had something in her that attracted people, he couldn't quite place his fingers on.
'Nothing you should know of, brother,' Alex thought, using his powers to communicate inside Liam's head, causing Liam to wince at the sharp pain he felt at first. And then Alex flashed a smile before walking away, heading towards their room.
