Heading toward the Hoover family quarters, Heinrich and Teresia shared not-pleasant glances. The butler escorted them to Karoline's room which was locked inside. Everyone stepped aside when Heinrich leaned toward the room. He knocked at it softly.
"Karoline?" He called her out loud.
When in vain, he looked back at Teresia. She walked toward the door and called for her servant too but in vain.
"Bring the keys," Heinrich ordered the butler.
Although it wasn't necessary for them to open the door until a day passed, something irked Heinrich about the situation. While waiting for the butler to arrive with the keys, Teresia kept scrutinizing Heinrich.
Noticing the irritated eyes on him, Heinrich spoke up, "We can talk later, Teresia." He assured her.
"Pardon my impertinence, but I am dying for an explanation." Teresia said, "About what Karoline meant."
