As the rain continued to pour, carriages filled with people locked in chains could be seen leaving the city.
The carriages came at a stop at Gu Shang location. The carriages were guarded by heavily armored guards of the capital guards.
They came to a stop and all bowed at Gu Shang, "Greetings to the prince of the north, we've been selected by the Princess Of The North to escort this prisoners to the spiritual vein mines"
Gu Shang nodded, Liu Feifei was quite efficient, it's only been a few hours since they separated and she had already made arrangements.
The prisoners in the carriage mostly included women and children from the clans Gu Shang had just gotten rid off.
The purple Qilin Cavalry followed a code and that was to not kill unarmed women and children yet to climb horse back, any category above this will be slain without mercy.
Gu Shang glanced at the carriages expressionlessly, it was quite pitiful but that wasn't going to change his mind, they should blame themselves for appearing in the wrong families.
The prisoners in the cages who were about to be made slaves cried and wailed in their carriages begging for mercy whiles some cursed Gu Shang.
A young boy of fourteen years old glanced at Gu Shang with hatred, this was the man that killed his uncle, the second chancellor.
He didn't cry like the boys his age, he silently watched Gu Shang and engraved his appearance in his memory. He would never forget him.
Besides him, a kind looking beautiful woman who was as pale as paper sat there unmovingly.
She was the wife of the second chancellor, and though she knew karma would soon come for them, she never expected it would happen like this.
She knew that her husband wasn't a good man and had committed a lot of evil deeds, but to his family he was the best leader and father they could have asked for.
She was ready to pay for the crimes of her dead husband and son, but his nephew didn't see it like that, she could see the hatred in his eyes.
Zhang Han had lost his mother at an early age. He could still remember the bullying he had to go through after his mother died at his father's clan.
His uncle came in there and saved him, he treated him like his own son.
His elder brother Zhang Feng also treated him well, he could remember all the times Zhang Feng played with him, they were his most precious memories.
The last memory he had of the family had happened three days ago, they had all gathered for a portrait of them to be drawn.
He could remember the smiles and laughter they had whiles their portraits were being painted.
Streak of tears silently streaked down as he remembered all the fun memories.
The more he did, the deeper his hatred for Gu Shang grew.
He continued to stare at Gu Shang who was standing on the tent platform.
Gu Shang felt his gaze of hatred and turned his attention to that little boy.
He could tell that the hatred the boy had of him was very deep and buried within the boy's heart but Gu Shang didn't care.
This wasn't the first time he has done this, he already had a long list of people who hated him and couldn't wait for him to die. He also knew that one day some of this descendants would come for his head.
It would be troublesome, but he was ready to bear it all. He had given the orders for their clans extermination so he'll also bear all their grudges and hatred towards him.
He simply glanced back at the boy for a few breathes, before waving his hands to signal them to proceed.
This people were going to spend the rest of their lives working in spiritual vein mines.
The young boy gritted his teeth and clenched his fist as the carriages were leaving the imperial capital.
His aunt saw that and hugged him tightly, "Let it go Zhang Han" she said silently said in his ears whiles gently patting his back.
Zhang Han released his clench fist, but he never stopped glancing at Gu Shang direction before their carriages disappeared.
Gu Shang forgot about that little episode and ordered his men to gather and burn all the dead bodies.
He climbed his dragon horse and left in the rain.
In the streets of Imperial Domain, the rain poured down heavily as bloody waters flowed on the streets.
Dragon horses galloped at full speed on the empty roads through the rain. The hoves of the dragon water splashed the bloody like waters anytime they moved.
A man with silver hair in black robes led a cavalry of soldiers holding purple flags as they galloped through the empty streets.
They arrived before a large manor, before slowing down.
The manor was extremely huge and massive, it looked grand and antique with a large silver gate.
The manor was twice the size of the Qing family manor which was considered a mini palace.
This manor could even be used as a palace for a lower tier empire.
There were large walls encircling the manor and at the main gate there was a large plaque which read, 'Rising Phoenix Manor' with bold strokes written with golden letters.
In front of the large silver gates were men wearing the armor of the purple Qilin Cavalry. They opened the large silver doors for Gu Shang and his entourage to enter before bowing to him, with their spears slightly bent.
Gu Shang entered the manor which was filled with luxurious courtyards and garden. The architecture of the building were simple yet elegants, there were several mini pagoda's in the manor.
There was even a large stream with a wooden bridge on it, creating a beautiful picturesque scene.
In the main courtyard was all the eight emissaries waiting for Gu Shang.
"We welcome the Grand General home!" They greeted him with clasped hands.
Behind them were several beautiful women, Gu Shang casually gave them a glance before asking, " Are the reliable?"
"Yes your grace, they've been hand picked by us and trained well, they can also defend theirselves quite well" the first emissary responded.
This women were going to be the maids in the manor.
Gu Shang nodded, " Deploy 10,000 guards to protect the manor, make sure they cover every inch of ground on this manor, nothing from here can enter or leave without my permission" Gu Shang gave his orders.
"And also, see to it that the rest of the troops settle outside the imperial walls, if they all enter the capital it would be too chaotic" Gu Shang continued.
The First emissary nodded to accept the command.
This manor was built by Gu Shang and it had taken 5 years to complete. He was very satisfied with the design and everything about the manor.
He suddenly remembered something, "Second emissary, take some men and surround the Gu Clan manor, don't do anything just surround them and make sure nobody leaves and also make sure that nobody harms my mother" he ordered before entering his chamber.
"Yes, your grace" The second emissary left.
After Gu Shang entered his luxurious chamber he took of his outer robes robes, " You should also go and keep watch at the Gu Clan manor, if an enemy that the second emissary can't deal with comes, take care of it"
If you didn't know better, you'd think he's crazy, but he had just ordered his quasi Immortal King just like that.
Gu Shang took off his outer robes and sat on the bed crossed leg with his eyes closed.
Something strange happened as his eyes opened again but this time glowing green, all the things a few meters around him came to a stop, Time had frozen.
In the Gu Clan, they were busy inviting popular and famed physician to come and treat Gu Shang's mother.
As they were still making preparations, they heard the galloping of horses from outside.
They rushed out only to find their manor surrounded by men in black armor. They immediately froze in fear.
This men in black armor had caused such a havoc in the capital, which would never be forgotten in the history of the empire
