The sun shines in the Goodman villa. Oscar walks outside with a jar of Koi fish food, heading to his Koi pond. Meanwhile, Carolyn sleeps in, tossing and turning. Closing her eyes harder, covering her blanket over her. The Sound of Michele's voice sways in her head.
"Come back to my mafia…"
Carolyn groans restlessly.
Michele chokes Janis, throwing her onto the ground. Janis coughs up blood, Carolyn stands there. Frozen.
"Let this be a lesson, Carolyn."
"No… No.. No.. No…"
"If I find out that you're trying to dismantle my mafia…"
Carolyn tosses herself upward on the bed. Groaning restlessly even more.
"I will make sure you'll pay and it won't be pretty."
Carolyn quickly wakes up, shifting herself up from the bed. Breathing heavily. She holds her head, closing her eyes.
"Fuck…"
The sound of footsteps comes towards the room. Oscar walks in the room. Carolyn opens her eyes, looking at Oscar. He smiles.
"Good Morning sweetheart!" He said, walking towards Carolyn. Kissing her. "Happy Birthday"
"Thanks Oscar." She said, smiling.
"How did you sleep? Did you sleep well?"
"No not really…"
"Still tired?" Oscar asks.
"Yeah… got back at 5, slept for a few hours, and I kept having nightmares about…. Michele—"
"She came back hm?"
"Yep…"
"Hm… I see. I had a feeling that Michele came back. You don't look or feel too good." Oscar said.
"I'm fine! I'm really fine, Oscar! I'm not sick or anything!" Carolyn said, nervously.
Oscar raises an eyebrow. "Carolyn."
"Oscar."
"Are you sure that you're okay?"
"Honest! I'm fine! Don't worry!"
Oscar stays silent. He shrugs it off. "Okay. I believe you."
He smiles as he walks up to Carolyn, kissing her.
"Let's head to the kitchen, I made breakfast for you."
"Aww, Oscar, I'll be right there. I just need some time to wake up."
"Okay!" Oscar walks out the room door. Carolyn grabs her phone, calling Debra.
Meanwhile, with Debra, she lights up a scent stick, standing it on the table along with other scent sticks. Her phone rings. Debra perks up and grabs her phone. Answering it.
"Hello?"
"Debra? Hey. It's Carolyn."
Debra gasps, "Carolyn! Happy Birthday!!"
Carolyn chuckles, "Thank you, moonie. Listen, are you free tonight?"
"You know what. I am free tonight. Why?" Debra asks.
"Well, I wanted to spend my night with you." Carolyn said. "We can spend the night together at your house, and I'll make dinner. My treat."
Debra blushes red. "Oh no, Carol. It's your birthday! We should go somewhere!"
"Nooo... Debra. I would like my birthday to be quiet and alone with you. Also, I want to stay away from Michele as much as possible."
"Okay, I understand. What time will you be here?" Debra asks.
"7 o'clock. I'll be there."
"Alright. Bye, Carolyn!" Debra said, blowing a kiss on the phone. Carolyn smiles as she softly blushes. She hangs up the phone, slides herself on the edge of the bed, and gets up to the bathroom. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Oscar grabs a cup, pouring his coffee into his cup as he sits down eating his breakfast. Slowly taking bites of his toast.
"I don't think Carolyn is okay.." he thought. "If she was okay, she wouldn't be so jumpy in the morning."
Carolyn walks out of the room to the dining room, putting on her black coat. She walks up to a mirror, adjusting her hair. Oscar looks at Carolyn. She turns around and looks at Oscar. She breathes.
"Ready to go?"
Oscar raises his eyebrows.
"Um…where are we going exactly?"
"Anywhere. Wherever you want to take me to for my birthday." Carolyn said.
"Mmhm. Well, you can wait until later. I'm not done with my breakfast, and you haven't even touched yours!" Oscar said, chuckling.
"I'll pass on breakfast today-" Carolyn walks to the front door.
"Carolyn," Oscar said bluntly. Carolyn stops. "Sit down and eat."
Carolyn stays silent. She walks over to the dining table and sits down. She picks up a fork and starts eating her breakfast. Silence roams around the room.
"What are you planning to do today?" Oscar asks.
Carolyn looks at him.
"I was planning that we could go out for lunch."
"To where? Osaka's?"
"Oscar, Osaka's is where we go for dinner."
"I mean! We can go there for lunch."
"Ehh… I'm not really in the mood for sushi this early." Carolyn said as she continued to eat her breakfast. Oscar drinks his coffee.
"Mmh— OH! Maybe we can do takeout and have a romantic lunch in our backyard."
"I…" Carolyn thinks for a moment. "I would love that." She said, smiling softly. Oscar smiles softly as well.
"Any other plans?"
"Not really, other than seeing Debra later on"
Oscar's eyes widened. "Lady Moonlight?! I thought you and her broke up?"
"We did. But I saw her at the Art District, and I couldn't stop thinking about her…"
"Oh…" Oscar said. "And the crazy part about it is that yesterday night was a full moon," he laughs. Carolyn looks at Oscar in silence. Her eyes widened.
"As a matter of fact. I got to go!" Carolyn quickly gets up, grabs her car keys, and heads out the front door. Oscar watches her leave out the door.
"Have fun? I guess?" Oscar said, confusingly.
Later on in the day, Carolyn heads in the historic westside, heading into Josephine's jewelry store. She parks her car right in front of the store. She gets out of the car and runs inside the store. Josephine and Justine look up at her. Justine's eyes widened.
"Carolyn?" Justine said.
"Justine. Is it possible that your mom can make a moon amulet tonight?" Carolyn heavily breathes.
"Uhh… momma?" She looks up at Josephine.
"It's going to take at least hours to make. When do you need it?" Josephine asks.
"By 7pm tonight."
"Mmh—" Josephine checks her basket full of amulets. She finds a white pearl shaped like the moon. "You're lucky. This is my last one. Want it polished and wrapped in a box?"
"Yes please." Carolyn said.
"Carolyn, you might want to sit down here. Have my chair."
Carolyn walks over to Justine. Taking their seat. "Thank you, but where are you going to sit?"
"Don't worry. I can stand. I have to leave to open up my arcade soon."
"You're sure?"
"Positive! You needed more than me." Justine said, smiling. Carolyn smiles.
"Aww, thank you, Justine. You're still sweet as always."
Uu
Josephine laughs. Justine and Carolyn look at her.
"You have something to say, Josephine?" Carolyn continued.
"She's never sweet. Not to me. She's disrespectful to me."
"Have you ever thought that you would never give her any respect?"
"Why should I give her respect? She's the child, and I'm the parent."
"Yes, but as a parent, you should respect your daughter."
"Carolyn. She's not going to listen to you." Justine said.
"Hold on." Carolyn said, holting Justine. "Listen to me. You are a horrible parent. I heard all the things about you. The same person that burned their own daughter's eye?? You must be proud of yourself."
"I did no such thing."
"You WATCHED as Michele poured hot water on their eyes."
Josephine scoffs. "She wasn't there either."
"I don't believe she would do it herself. She's smart not to do something that stupid."
"Killing herself? Yes, she has."
Justine stays silent in disappointment. Carolyn pats Justine's hands.
"It's okay," Carolyn whispered to Justine. Justine looks at her.
"Okay."
"You tell me… how can you believe some half-ass story from Justine. She didn't tell you why she hates me."
"That's none of my business to know. She's just a teenager. Yet you continue to bring her down as a human being."
"Is that a problem?"
"Yes, it is."
"Why do you care?"
Carolyn's eyes widened in shock.
"I-"
"Who are you to judge on how I treat my daughter?"
"You treat her like she's worth nothing to you!"
"NO, I DON'T!"
"Momma… please."
"Justine.. you shouldn't have even gone NEAR THIS WOMAN!" Josephine yelled. "SHE'S DANGEROUS, AND YOU HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL HER OUR BUSINESS?!"
Carolyn's blood starts to boil.
"Carolyn is not even dangerous…" Justine mumbled.
"She is! You saw what happened to this city!"
"That wasn't her fault. It was Michele!"
"You just shut up. Michele didn't do a thing, smart ass."
Justine stays silent. Josephine snarls at Justine.
"You want to make it into a necklace or a bracelet?" Josephine asks.
Carolyn looks at Josephine. "I don't even want it anymore. I don't want this energy festering in my car. Justine, come on. I'll drive you to your arcade."
"No, it's fine. I can walk over there," Justine said, walking out of the store. Carolyn gets up from the chair and walks out of the store. She sees Justine walking to the arcade, trying not to cry. Carolyn follows her.
"Justine, wait!" Carolyn yells. Justine stops walking, she turns around, and looks at Carolyn.
"I'm sorry about my outburst."
"No.. no, it's alright. It's not your fault. What she said is true. I'm not kind."
"That's not true, and you are kind. Your mom is a liar. Why are you putting yourself down?" Carolyn said.
"Because it's true. I'm not an advocate to help her. She expects more from me when she forgets that I have an arcade to run and have school in the midst of it. She doesn't care. All she cares about is getting child support money and getting attention. If not, she'll guilt trip me."
"Mmh—"
"I wish I wasn't born in this family and continue to deteriorate in darkness… I wish she and Michele killed me so I don't have to live in this shit hole."
Carolyn hugs Justine, cutting her off. Justine stands there, tears rolling down her face.
"Don't say that!" Carolyn exclaims. "I'm sorry that you had to go through that, Justine. You are a good woman. A great woman at that! Fuck your mom and Michele for hurting you. They're just pieces of shits."
"You think so?"
"Justine. If you can see it for what it is.. your mom is not good for you. She's continuing to see you miserable because she's miserable herself. She has nothing to do but sit in her jewelry store and make jewelry that pretty much isn't going to sell. You didn't hear that from me." Carolyn chuckles. Justine chuckles.
"But hey, I may be wrong, and as for you, Justine, you are one of a kind. You are special to me, your dad, your friends, Oscar, and Dixie. I want you to move out of her house immediately. You're welcome to stay over at our house."
"Nah, it's okay, like I said. I don't want to be a burden. I'm thinking about moving to my dads soon. I'll stop by your house to visit."
"Okay. That's good!" Carolyn said, softly smiling. She hugs Justine. "Come on. I'll drive you to your arcade."
"Okay." Justine said, wiping her tears away.
Carolyn breaks the hug, grabs Justine's hand, and walks to her car. Carolyn opens the car door, and Justine gets in the front seat, closing the door. Carolyn walks around her car, opening the door to get in the driver's seat. She closes the door. She looks at Justine.
"Actually. Want to help me find a gift for someone?" Carolyn asks. "I'm going to get you out of this horrid energy. You're spending the day with me."
"Sure! Let me text my friends that the arcade will be closed today." Justine said. She thinks for a moment, "Wait. Where are we going?"
"We're going shopping for a gift." Carolyn said, starting up the car. She drives off, heading off towards downtown Las Vegas. As they get to Washington Avenue, stopping at a red light. Justine spoke up.
"Carolyn?"
"Yes, Justine?" Carolyn said.
"Who are we getting a gift for?" Justine asks. Carolyn chuckles.
"Well… I don't know if I want to tell you?"
"Please??"
"Nooo."
"Please come on?!"
"Nooo!"
"Is it for Oscar?" Justine asks with their eyebrows raised to their head.
"No way! It's not for him." Carolyn said, blushing.
"Then who's it for?"
Carolyn's face turns red as she starts smiling and chuckling nervously.
"It's…it's for my girlfriend."
Justine's eyes widened. She gasped in shock. She squeals in excitement, jumping in her seat.
"Oh my god! Carolyn!! You're gay?!" Justine exclaimed. Carolyn looks at Justine.
"Well… I'm bisexual."
"Stop it! No way?! Aren't you married to Oscar, though?"
"Yeah, and he knows that I'm dating my girlfriend. He's pretty cool with it."
Justine screeches in happiness.
"I KNEW YOU WERE GAY!"
"Wait?! You knew? How??" Carolyn asks confusingly.
"I'm a lesbian, and I sense you like women but are married to a man. The 'gaydar' Carolyn."
"Hm.. that's crazy." Carolyn laughed. "I guess my 'gaydar' is right about you."
"What do you mean?"
"I knew you were gay. Just never put my finger on it." Carolyn said, smiling.
"Oh," Justine laughs. Carolyn laughs with them.
"Can you promise me you won't tell anyone about my sexuality?"
"Can I tell my friends?"
"Justine."
"Alright, I won't. Promise." Justine said, smiling.
Carolyn smiles back. "I trust you."
The duo arrives at the premium outlets near downtown Las Vegas. Carolyn goes into the parking garage and finds a parking space. Justine and Carolyn get out of the car, and head down to the outlet. The outlet is crowded, full of people going into different stores or walking around. Carolyn and Justine walk to the jewelry store. The store owner looks at the two ladies walking in. Her eyes widened.
"My god. Mayor Goodman, you're alive! Thank goodness!" The owner said. Carolyn chuckles nervously.
"Thank you for noticing." Carolyn said. "But uh… I'm here to look for a moon bracelet. Do you think you can make a customized bracelet today?"
"Oh! You're in luck, I have one already customized." The owner grabs a black box. She opens it and shows Carolyn and Justine the bracelet. The bracelet has a black leather rope surrounding the pearl shaped crescent moon. Carolyn looks mesmerized by the bracelet.
"Well would you look at that…that's beautiful…" Carolyn covers her mouth, tears start to fall from her eyes. Justine looks at Carolyn.
"Carolyn? Are you okay?"
"I-I'm fine… Justine. It's that… whenever I see the moon. I just can't stop thinking about her."
Carolyn grabs a tissue and wipes her tears.
"Oh… does she like the moon?"
"She's an angel moon witch," Carolyn said, "anything that relates with the moon. It reminds me of her."
"Oh…" Justine said. She looks at the bracelet. "How much is the bracelet?"
"It was for a lady who bought it a month ago and I don't think she ever came back to pick it up." The owner said.
"Who bought it? Do you know the name?"
"It was for…." The owner turns around and scrambles through her papers of orders. She picks up the paper that was for the bracelet. "It was for Debra "Lady Moonlight" March."
Carolyn perks up with her eyes wide open. "Debra? She came over here for this bracelet?"
"Yes she did. She said that it's for a gift for a significant person's birthday." The owner said. Putting the bracelet in the black box, closing it securely. "Can you give this to her, Mayor Goodman?" She hands over the box to Carolyn. Carolyn grabs the box.
"I will, thank you." Carolyn smiles.
Carolyn and Justine walk out the store, the store owner looks at them leaving.
"Goodbye! Oh and come again!" The owner yelled. As the ladies walk into the mall area, Carolyn looks at the box.
"I wondered why she bought this?" Carolyn thought. "Was it for me?"
"You know. I'm curious. How did you and your girlfriend meet?" Justine asks. Carolyn's eyes widened as she blushed and chuckled.
"Well. It's a long story…"
"I love stories! Please tell me how it went?"
"Okay. I'll tell you when we get something to eat. I'm starving." Carolyn said.
"Agreed."
Carolyn and Justine head over to the food court. Minutes later, the duo sits down and starts eating their pizza that they bought.
"So… how did you guys meet?" Justine said, eagerly smiling. Carolyn smiles.
"I met her at a meeting."
"What kind of meeting? City meeting?"
"No. It was at a board meeting for the RTC buses. We're part of the board members."
"Oh! Okay. Sooo… how did it go out?"
"Well.. it was on a June morning in 2017. I came in around a half hour before everyone else because the government center is not that far from my house. Walked into the backdoor of the chambers, and there I saw a short, gorgeous-looking woman I've seen in my life. Debra."
Carolyn's memory started to flashback.
A woman- like laugh faint through Carolyn's ears as she stares at Debra, blushing. A tall skinny man walks up behind Carolyn.
"Mrs. Goodman?"
Carolyn jumps in fear.
"Holy shit, Jones! You scared me!"
"Oh sorry. By the way, are you ready for the meeting today? Since you backed out last time?"
"I backed out for a reason that was out of my control."
"Mhm. Yeah uh… we all know you're a part of Lusty's mafia. You don't have to hide it."
"Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me." Carolyn said, bluntly.
Jones laughs and smirks. "I'm glad to remind you."
He walks away. Carolyn shakes her head and walks in the council chambers. Debra turns around and looks at Carolyn walking in the chambers. She blushes.
"Who is she?" Debra asks.
"That's the mayor of Las Vegas, Carolyn Goodman." Jones said.
"She's really pretty."
"Pretty ugly."
Debra hits Jones' stomach. "Stop it! That's mean!"
"Sorry."
"I'm going to talk to her."
"No, don't!"
"Why not?"
"She's part of lusty's mafia…"
"Okay? What does that have to do with her?"
"She's dangerous and might have a potential to kill you?"
"I'm a Lust moon Angel witch, that doesn't scare me and besides, I can tell that she's a wrath demon because of her calm demeanor. And—" Debra bites her lip. "I love a wrath demon that can dominate me~"
"That's sweet. Well I'll let you go talk to her, I guess?"
"Don't mind if I do."
Debra walks in the council chambers and sees Carolyn sitting down with her eyes closed, head back onto the seat. She walks in front of Carolyn.
"Umm.. Carolyn?"
Carolyn opens her eyes, looking up at her. Carolyn blushes. Debra blinks multiple times, bedazzled by Carolyn's look. She blushes.
"Oh my…" she thought. "She's so handsome!~"
"Is there anything you need?" Carolyn asks, "we're kind of on a tight schedule." She nervously chuckles.
Debra snaps out of her head, looking at Carolyn.
"Oh! No, not really. I just want to talk to you." Debra said. "You don't mind if I sit here?" She points to the seat next to Carolyn.
"No! I don't mind! Go right ahead!"
Carolyn quickly grabs her clutch, moving it out the way for her. Debra sat in the chair, next to Carolyn. Debra looks at Carolyn. Nervous chuckling.
"You look…so handsome!" Debra said, nervously.
"You don't look too bad, beautiful. You look stunning." Carolyn said, grabbing Debra's hand. Kissing it. Debra's face turns red.
"Oh stop it!"
"It's true. When I first laid my eyes on you. I saw a striking beauty. I thought you were a goddess."
"Oh god! You're funny!" Debra laughs. "I'm a moon Angel witch. Some people call me 'Lady Moonlight' because I'm the only one that casts spells that relate to the moon."
"Is that so?"
"Well, in Henderson, yes."
"Well, in that case, you already cast a spell on me. The moon and I got hit by looking at you~"
Debra blushes harder as she sweats at Carolyn's words. She fans herself. "It may be 100 degrees outside, but I think this room just got hotter."
"You think so? Because it just got hotter for me by looking at you~"
"Carolyn! Stop, quit making me blush harder!"
"Okay, okay, I'll stop," Carolyn said, smiling. Debra breathes as her face goes back to its normal color.
Uui
"Debra. Debra "Lady Moonlight" March." Debra said, putting her hand out towards Carolyn. Carolyn grabs her hand, shaking it.
"Carolyn. Madame Carolyn Goodman. Enchanté, dame du la lune~"
Debra blushes redder again. "Carolyn!"
"Alright, I'll stop, for real this time." Carolyn laughed.
The flashback ended.
Carolyn eats another bite of her pizza slice.
"And we started talking after the meeting and started dating a week later."
"The unspoken rizz— Damn! You got to teach me your ways!" Justine exclaims. Carolyn laughs.
"I'm not sure what 'rizz' means, but in my time, we say 'we got class'."
"Yeah, that 'class' needs to be shared, PLEASE! I need a girlfriend, Carolyn!"
"Oh geez, Justine. You got class. You just need to know how to use it. Also, you're only 17. I'd rather wait until you're ready." Carolyn said.
"Awww…" Justine said, putting her head down on the table. Carolyn smiles and chuckles.
"You'll find the right person someday. Maybe sooner or later. Who knows, I think you'll find the perfect girl to date."
Carolyn pats Justine's head, Giggling. Carolyn's phone starts to ring. She picks it up and looks at who's calling.
"Oh shit!" Carolyn yelled.
"What? What's going on?" Justine said, popping their head up from the table.
"It's Oscar. Oh shit, I forgot we're supposed to have lunch together for my birthday!"
"Wait, today is your birthday?"
"Yes!" Carolyn answers her phone. "Honey!"
"Carolyn. Sweetheart, where are you?" Oscar asks.
"I'm at the outlets with Justine. We came to get a gift for Moonie."
"Oh well, I called to see if you were coming back. We're supposed to have lunch together."
"Why don't you come down to the outlet and have lunch down here with us? It's convenient, and it is a nice day outside."
"Well, don't mind if I do." Oscar said, "I'll be there shortly."
"Okay." Carolyn hangs up her phone. "Sorry Justi-"
Justine left. Carolyn looks around for her. "What the hell? Where did she go?"
Carolyn starts to call Justine. Meanwhile, Justine is walking around the mall, looking for stores to shop in. Her phone rings. She picks it up and answers the phone.
"Hello?"
"Justine! Where have you gone off to?" Carolyn asks hesitantly.
"Don't worry about it, I'm just looking at other stores to find your girlfriend a gift."
"What the HELL DO YOU MEAN 'Don't worry about it'? I'M CONCERNED!"
"I'll be back, don't worry," Justine said, going into a purse shop. "I'm not too far from the food court."
Carolyn breathes in relief, "Well, okay, can you tell me what shop you are in so I'll know where you are?"
"Oh, I'm at a purse shop. Like uhh… Torrey Buscador? I think." Justine looks at a nearby sign that says Torrey Buscador's Purse Shop and Accessories. "Yep. It's around the corner from the food court. I can see you from the window."
"What window?" Carolyn turns around and sees Justine waving at her through the windows of the purse shop. Carolyn sighs in relief.
"Okay, I see you. You scared me, Justine." Carolyn said, "Call me if anyone tries to hurt you."
"Okay, I will." Justine said. Carolyn smiles and hangs up the phone. Justine looks around the store. She looks at the purses on display. Meanwhile, Oscar lands in the middle of the outlet. His angel wings disappear as he stands up, brushing the dust off him. He walks around the mall, trying to find a store to look in. He looks in the window and sees Justine looking around.
"Is that? It is."
Oscar walks into the store. Justine looks up and sees Oscar. Their eyes widened.
"Oscar?" Justine said. Oscar looks up, chuckling and smiling.
"My god, Justine! Come here!"
Justine runs up to Oscar, hugging him. Oscar hugs them back.
"Justine, you've grown a lot! How have you been?!" Oscar said, breaking up the hug.
"I'm doing good. How are you?"
"I'm doing better than ever. So what are you doing here at Torrey Buscador?" Oscar asks.
"Just trying to find Carolyn a gift for her birthday. I just don't know what I can get her."
"Hmm…" Oscar thinks for a moment, "Get her a new purse. This is a purse store after all so let's see…"
Oscar and Justine look around the purse section of the store. Justine looks around. She stops and looks at a black clutch with gradients of red shaped in the patterns of flames all over the clutch. Her eyes widened as she gasped.
"Oooh! look at this!" Justine exclaims, Oscar walks over to where Justine is standing. He looks at the purse she's looking at. His eyes widened.
"You want to get that for Carolyn?" Oscar asks.
"Yes and also get it for me to match." Justine said. Oscar squints his eyes at them.
"I didn't know you like clutches?"
"I'm embracing my feminine side, I may be a gay woman but gay women can embrace their femininity too. That depends on how they feel about themselves." Justine said as she started dancing in front of Oscar. She dances as she vogues around the store, their power starting to charge up. Oscar looks at Justine.
"Hey Justine. You might want to be careful dancing." Oscar said, "your powers are charging."
Justine stops dancing and looks at their powers showing. "Aw shit."
She stops charging her powers and walks towards Oscar.
"Anyways, let's get it."
Justine grabs two of the clutches and heads up to the cashier. Oscar follows them. The duo walks up to the cashier.
"Hello! Is this all for you guys?" The cashier said, happily while she scans the clutches.
"Yes it is!" Justine said.
"Alright, that'll be $1,215."
Justine grabs her wallet to grab their card, Oscar stops them with his card out.
"It's okay Oscar, I'll pay for it."
"Oh no it's on me and besides I'll say that it's from both of us and you bought your own to match with her."
"Oh!" Justine said, "Thank you, Oscar! I'll pay you back."
"Keep your money, it's okay." Oscar said. Winking at Justine.
The cashier looks at them as she swipes Oscar's credit card and gives it back to him.
"Your daughter is cute."
"Oh this is my granddaughter. Are you interested in her?"
"OSCAR!" Justine yelled as she blushed red. "She's not even talking about me like that!"
"Oh no! I'm just saying that she's cute." The cashier blushes. "Besides, I have a girlfriend already."
"Oh. Oops!" Oscar chuckles.
"Oh lord…" Justine muffled as she covered their face as their face became red.
"I'm sorry about that." Oscar said, grabbing the bag as he walked out the store. Justine follows Oscar walking out, the cashier awkwardly chuckles.
"It's okay!" The cashier said, "have a great day!"
Meanwhile, Carolyn is on her phone, texting Debra.
Any ideas on what you would like to eat tonight?
Carolyn texts.
You. Lol I'm kidding! Or am I? In all seriousness, I'm thinking about ordering pizza tonight. I don't want you to cook tonight. Debra responded.
You're always hungry for me lol. Have you've been a good girl?
Yes mommy~ I've been a very good girl.
Carolyn blushes, she looks around and continues texting on her phone.
We'll see about that~ Carolyn replies.
Oh my!~ what would you do to me?~
You'll see tonight~ I can't give away the surprise just yet.
Aww alright. Also, do you still want to talk about what happened yesterday? Debra response
Carolyn stops for a moment. She texts her back.
Yeah I do. I'll see you tonight. Love you!
Love you too, my sweet Handsome wrath demon~
Carolyn blushes as her face starts to turn red. She covers her mouth, smiling.
"Carolyn!" A voice yelled in the distance. Carolyn perks her head up and looks at Justine walking with Oscar. She waves at her. Carolyn gets up and runs towards the two. She sighs in relief.
"Thank god that you're okay!" Carolyn exclaimed, hugging Justine. She breaks the hug. "Do I need to kill anyone?"
"No but your husband."
"What did he do?"
Oscar chuckles nervously. "I made a mistake at the store we were in and Justine is now flustered."
"Yeah only because she said that I was 'cute' she wasn't implying that she was interested!" Justine exclaims.
Carolyn stood there in silence, looking at Oscar dead in his eyes. Oscar sweats nervously. She breathes.
"You're so lucky that there are people around us because I would have smacked you in the face right now." Carolyn said, bluntly. Oscar gulps and smirks at Carolyn.
"If you had smacked me, I would have you whacked."
"Oop." Justine said, under their breath. Carolyn scoffs.
"Why don't you whack me yourself?" Carolyn said, smirking confidently. Justine froze, looking up at Carolyn.
"Uh.. Carolyn?"
Oscar interrupts Justine. "Fine. I will."
Oscar walks up closely to Carolyn, Justine starts shaking nervously.
Oscar grabs Carolyn's face, grabbing her cheeks.
"y'all.. Y'ALL IT'S NOT THAT SERI-!!"
He kisses Carolyn as Carolyn's face blushes so hard in the face. Justine stands there in silence, flabbergasted.
"Oh… oh shit—"
Carolyn breaks up the kiss, covering her mouth as her face turns red. Oscar smiles as he gives Carolyn her gift.
"Happy Birthday sweetheart. It's from me and Justine." Oscar said. Carolyn grabs the bag and opens it. She looks inside and gasps seeing the two clutches with red gradient flames on them.
"Awww this is a fabulous design!" Carolyn said, smiling. She grabs the clutches. "But why are there two clutches in there?"
"Well.." Justine grabs the other clutch from the bag. "So you and I can match each other whenever we decide to go out sometime."
"Awww… I love it, Justine! Thank you!" Carolyn hugged Justine, kissing her cheek and hugging Oscar, kissing him on the lips. "Thank you honey!"
"I'm gonna put my stuff in it right now." Carolyn continued as she put her phone, wallet, and her car keys in her new clutch. "While I'm doing that, want to finish having lunch here or do you want to go back home?"
"Hmm… let's finish lunch here." Oscar said, picking up the last slice of pizza. "It is a nice day outside." He eats the last slice.
"I'll get more pizza!" Justine exclaims, getting up from their seat, heading to the pizza shop. Carolyn and Oscar chuckles as they watch Justine walk away.
