Later on in the morning, Oscar walks into the kitchen, grabbing the koi food from the cabinets. The doorbell rings, Oscar froze and looks at the front door while holding the koi fish food.
"That must be Carolyn." Oscar said, walking out from the kitchen to the front door. He hears a bison chirp at the door. His eyes widened.
"Dixie?"
Oscar opens the door. He looks down and sees a pet size Dixie. Dixie chirps happily.
"Dixie! Oh wait, where's Justine?"
Justine walks up to the porch and puts down their backpack onto the ground. Heavily breathing.
"Dead Jesus, holding Dixie's things is heavy." She looks at Oscar. "Oh hey Oscar!"
"Good Morning, Justine. How are you?"
"I'm good." Justine said, losing their breath. "How's your morning?"
"Pretty well, I'm about to feed my koi fish. Come on in."
"Ooh cool." Justine said. Justine grabs the backpack and walks in the house. Dixie follows her inside. Oscar closes the door behind them. The three walked to the backyard, walking towards the koi fish pond. Dixie sits down, watching the fish swim in the pond. Oscar grabs a handful of the fish food and throws it in the pond. The koi fish starts eating the food. Justine watches the fish eat its food.
"What brings you down here early?" Oscar asks.
"I wanted to take Dixie out to the park early today so she can exercise and do her business so I did and stopped by and say hello."
"Oh! That's wonderful. I should've made breakfast if I knew you were coming. You must be hungry."
"No, it's cool. I can get some breakfast at Wendy's. I don't want you to do any work but feed the koi fish." Justine said. "I can get you some breakfast if you want."
"Ah no thank you for the offer. I'll stick to my coffee that I want to make soon."
"Oh okay."
Silence roams around the backyard. Waves from the pond splash as the fish food plops in with the fish.
Oscar puts down the fish food onto the grass. Justine looks at him.
"Have you seen Carolyn earlier?" Oscar asks.
"Carolyn? No I didn't. Why?"
"She went out for her birthday to hang out with her girlfriend. She never came back home. She usually comes back around this hour." Oscar said.
"Well… I saw a bunch of police officers driving up Tropicana earlier. Not sure if it helps?"
"Police officers??? Tropicana??"
The doorbell rang. Oscar and Justine look inside the house
"That must be her!" Justine and Oscar said. They both ran in the house and looked through the window by the door. They see Debra outside.
"Who is that lady? She's pretty."
"That's Debra. That's Carolyn's girlfriend."
"Goddamn! she really picked the right one because damn."
Oscar chuckles. He opens the door.
"Good morning Oscar!" Debra exclaims, happily. "Oh, and you are?"
"Justine. Enchantée mademoiselle." Justine said, shaking hands with Debra. Debra blushes softly.
"Oh my. She's just like Carolyn."
"Yep. Her and Carolyn act just alike" Oscar said, chuckling. Debra chuckles.
"What brings you here to Vegas?" Oscar continued.
"Well Carolyn and I wanted to talk to you. It's really important." Debra said. Justine snaps her fingers.
"Alright, it's time for me to go. Yep. Come on Dixie."
Dixie chirps as she runs inside the house from the backyard. Oscar stands there, confused.
"Uh… Justine?"
"What? Whatever happens, I can't interfere." Justine said, walking out the door. Dixie runs out the door. She stops when she sees a shadow of Carolyn in front of her. Dixie chirps happily, wagging her tail. Carolyn smiles softly as she picks up Dixie. Petting her. She looks at Justine.
"Oh! I think she wanted to talk to you too." Debra spoke up.
"Definitely."
Oscar laughs. "GET IN THE HOUSE BUD!"
"AYE YOU'RE NOT SLICK EITHER!" Justine exclaims, walking in the house. Oscar and Justine laugh while walking in the living room. Carolyn and Debra chuckles.
"Is that your granddaughter you were telling me about?" Debra asks.
"Yep. That's them and this is their pet, Dixie. She's such a cutie."
"Aww!! She is!" Debra said, petting Dixie. Dixie chirps happily. Janis lands behind them. Clearing her throat.
"We have to hurry because we gotta get going soon." Janis said.
"Right." Carolyn said.
Carolyn, Debra, and Janis walk inside the house. Carolyn closes and locks the door behind her. She and Debra sit on the couch while Janis leans on the pillar in the entrance way. Oscar and Justine sit in a chair. Dixie jumps out of Carolyn's arms and onto the floor, sitting down.
"Can someone close the backyard door? I don't want anyone to hear this." Janis said.
"I got it." Justine said, getting up from their chair. She closes the backyard door. She sits back down. Carolyn smiles softly at Justine. Justine smiles back.
"We gathered you two to talk to you about what Janis, Debra, and I decided on doing." Carolyn said, bluntly. "And we want you to be the first to know."
"Well… I came up with the decision that Carolyn needs to go into hiding and as far as possible from Las Vegas." Janis said.
"Well I know that part from going into hiding but outside of Vegas? Why?" Oscar asks.
"Michele came back." The three women said at once. Justine and Oscar's eyes widened.
"I— HOW???" Justine yelled. "That doesn't make any sense?!"
"You too thought she died?" Carolyn asks.
"Well kind of but like, after that fight one year. She was just gone. Like you won't hear anything crazy afterwards. Except for threatening me and my friend's families two months later."
"Wait, she threatened you? Again?!" Carolyn exclaimed.
"Pretty much when she heard about me mourning your death."
"Did she physically hurt you?"
"If scars from her almost cutting my eye that she burnt ended up cutting my eyebrow just last night count then I don't know what is?"
"I didn't even notice that cut." Oscar said.
"I got it stitched up before going out."
"And this has been going on for months?! How come you didn't tell me yesterday?!" Carolyn yelled.
"One. My mom wouldn't believe me if I spoke that shit out loud. Two, nobody asked so I didn't say anything." Justine said. Carolyn's blood boils as she thinks about Michele. Debra touched her hand. She breathes and calms down. "I was going to text you last night but I didn't get a chance plus I didn't want to text you during your birthday night."
"It's okay, I know you aren't the type of person to talk about things like this. You should've told me or Oscar that sooner."
"You were dead when most of it happened. But this ain't about me. This is about you."
"Oops we got off topic." Carolyn chuckles nervously.
"Actually, she's onto something. If.. I'm sorry, what's your name?" Janis asks.
"Justine."
"If Justine is getting threatened and abused by Michele. She must have known that you and Justine have a very good connection with each other." Janis continued.
"Right. Plus she knows about me and Debra's relationship along with Oscar."
"It's a possibility that she'll go after them as well but I wouldn't count on it. Which is good."
"Wait… I'm pretty much Michele's target?" Justine said. "Kind of racist if you ask me."
"No no! You're her target because that's the main thing she sees first. Does she have any relationship with your family?"
"My mom…"
"That's pretty much the reason." Janis said.
"Then might as well have them in hiding as well. She can't just be out in the open like that. She can get killed." Oscar said.
"He's right. If Justine is her main target. Then she needs to go into hiding with me then." Carolyn said. "But what about school?"
"She needs to transfer into another school." Janis replied.
"Let her finish school, we just have to let the school know to keep her on the downlow about her presence."
"What's your decision? You are a junior in high school." Carolyn asks Justine. Justine nodded in agreement.
"I agree with Oscar. Might as well, if I don't feel safe then transferring would be a second option."
"Then it's settled." Carolyn said. Justine spoke up.
"I have a question though, from being targeted because Michele knows that you and I get along. Would Debra and Oscar be targeted as well? Shouldn't they go into hiding as well?" Justine asks.
"Debra won't get targeted because I won't let it happen."
"And I'll stay here, protect all of you by sacrificing myself." Oscar said.
Janis, Carolyn, Debra, and Justine look at Oscar. Eyes widened.
"Oscar?" Carolyn said. "Why?"
"We made a vow. I will do anything in my power to protect you and everyone in this family. Debra and Justine along with Janis are family as well." Oscar said. "What can she do to me? All she can do is seduce me and that's it. Whatever you end up doing, Carolyn. As long as you're safe, I'm fine with you going into hiding."
Carolyn smiles. "Thanks Oscar."
Oscar smiles. The couple got up and hugged each other. Carolyn kisses Oscar's cheeks as she breaks up the hug.
"Also, build up your mafia while you're at it." Oscar continued.
Carolyn smiles and chuckles. "I got a head start on my mafia. My angels. Carolyn's Angels"
"Carolyn's Angels? I like it!" Oscar said, smiling. Janis and Debra chuckles. Carolyn breathes.
"Let me start packing up. Debra? Janis? Want to help pack?"
"You guys go ahead. I'll stay and chat with Oscar and Justine." Janis said.
"Okay."
Debra gets up from the couch and follows Carolyn in her bedroom. Janis watches them. Oscar sits back down in his chair.
"So how's it been since I last saw you, Oscar?" Janis spoke up.
"It's been pretty good. Nothing much going on you know. Being me."
Janis laughs. "You did a lot after I left office. Shit isn't the same when Stormy took over Las Vegas with her mafia."
"Wait. Who's Stormy?" Justine asks.
"You may be too young to remember this country rock band called 'Sly Teton'. The lead singer. Stormy Fiore is Lusty Michele."
Justine's eyes widened. "Michele was a singer?!"
"For years. Until her band and she decided to retire here in Vegas after their residency. She never was the same after that."
"I heard of the band Sly Teton. I listened to their songs when I was younger. I still do. My mom used to worked with her as a costume technician."
"She had a very good voice." Oscar said.
"She did! I just don't understand why she didn't want to come back to singing instead of being a powerful Mafia Donna?" Justine said. "She was very talented with the lyrics and the music behind it."
"I don't know if this is the case but uhh… she didn't go back to making music because her husband before he passed away was behind all of it. After he found out that she was retiring. He made her life a living hell."
"How so?" Justine asks.
"He was exposing her private life and pretty much exploiting her. Like private pictures of her getting drunk and part of sexual affairs. It was all over TMZ at the time." Janis said. "And then Stormy found out that he was cheating on her. Those exposés and her husband cheating on her. Took a big toll on her."
"And all I remember is that she went missing and passed away. That's what my mom told me."
"She committed suicide. I remember when the whole city stopped when she committed suicide at the Stratosphere. Fans were placing flowers and candles to remember her."
"Damn…" Justine said. "Did anyone try saving her?"
"Joey was the first person to stop her from killing herself. She went along with it."
"Then why couldn't he save her from jumping?"
"He let her fulfill her wishes and when she passed away, he was the one to tell the coroners to send the dead body to the hospital and revive her as Lusty Michele as we know today."
"But like… how did she turn from a sweet singer to a whole slutty asshole?" Justine asks.
"That is still a mystery to this day."
Justine went silent in shock. Meanwhile with Debra and Carolyn in her bedroom. Carolyn puts the last piece of clothes and items into her suitcase. She zips up the bag and sends it off to Debra's house. Carolyn sits next to Debra on the bed, breathing.
"Well, that's done." Carolyn said, chuckling. Debra nervously smiles. Carolyn looks at her nervously smiling. "What's wrong, Moonie?"
"It's nothing…"
"Talk to me." Carolyn said, grabbing Debra's hand gently. "Are you nervous about anything?"
"Well yes I am…very nervous." Debra said. "I'm worried about Oscar sacrificing himself but what I'm more worried about is you. I don't want to lose you again."
"Well that's why I'm going into hiding. We all agreed to that."
"I know but what's the likelihood that she'll figure out where you are? Caroline, you're going to get killed and I will get killed or worse! Janis is going to be shattered. She can't lose you either."
"Deb—" Carolyn whispered, Debra cut her off.
"I'm so terrified, I don't know what I should do. I can't fight. I can only defend by protecting myself from getting hurt."
Carolyn sighs, she gets up from her bed and closes the room door. She leans on the door, waiting for Debra to stop talking.
"Moonie."
Debra stops talking and looks at Carolyn. Carolyn takes her coat off and hangs it up by the door. "Come here please."
Debra gets up and walks over to Carolyn.
"Hug me."
Debra hugs her. Carolyn picks her up by her legs and walks to her bed, she gently lays themselves onto the bed. Carolyn hugs her back.
"This is something we used to do back when we first started dating. I want to bring it back to let you know that no matter what happens. I will be there to protect you from any danger. Alive or on the brink of death. I will always be with you."
"What if you're not there? What if you're somewhere far away from me?" Debra whispered.
"It doesn't matter. I'll still be there by your side. No matter what happens." Carolyn said. Debra deeply breathes.
"Okay…" Debra said, laying on Carolyn's chest. Carolyn smiles and kisses her head. Debra spoke up softly as she breathed. "Carolyn~"
"Hm?"
"Can you tell Janis to stay longer? I want to stay in this position for a few more minutes. I forgot how comfortable laying like this together feels like."
Carolyn chuckles softly. "Sure. If we can't, we can continue this later. Is that okay?"
Debra nods yes. "Yeah..."
"Hey…hey now…it's going to be okay. I know it will. It may take time but I got this. We got this. How do I know?"
"How?"
"Because I'm dating someone that is the smartest, bravest, and the most beautiful and also the cutest woman all over Henderson. Together, we are a powerful couple. I will do anything in my power to sacrifice my life for you, Oscar, Justine, Janis, and everyone in Las Vegas to be safe. This is why we all agreed for me to go into hiding so that I can figure out what we need to do to defeat Michele from potentially taking over Nevada." Carolyn said. "Everything is going to be okay. Promise."
"Okay." Debra said.
"Now can I see a beautiful smile?" Carolyn continued. Debra blushes and smiles. Carolyn smiles. "There you go! That's the beautiful smile I want to see!"
The couple chuckles. Debra sits her upper body up off of Carolyn. Carolyn tilts her chin and pulls her in.
"I love you, moonie! My gorgeous and cutest moon princess of Henderson!~"
"I love you too, Caroline!~ my handsome wrath demon princess of Las Vegas~"
Carolyn kisses Debra passionately. The energy from their bodies circulating through their veins.
Debra breaks up the kiss and hugs Carolyn again. Carolyn hugs her again. Kissing her head again. Janis knocks on the bedroom door.
"Hey guys. Let's go before we get caught by Michele." Janis said.
"Give us a few minutes, Janis." Carolyn said.
"I prefer to go now but I can wait a few minutes."
"Thanks Janis."
Janis walks away from the door. Carolyn caresses Debra's hair. Debra looks at Carolyn.
"Come on Deb. Let's go before we get caught up with Michele's shit again."
"Alright."
Debra gets off of Carolyn's body. Carolyn gets up from the bed and holds her hand out for Debra. She grabs Carolyn's hand and gets up from the bed. Carolyn opens the door, Debra walks out before her. Carolyn follows her out. Heading to the living room. Janis, Oscar, and Justine look at them.
"Ready to go?" Carolyn asked.
"Wha- I thought you guys needed a minute?" Janis said, confusingly.
"Carolyn thought about it and decided that we should go now." Debra said.
"Oh. Well. Shall we?"
Carolyn smirks and walks to the door along with Debra. Oscar gets up from his chair.
"I'll get the door for you guys. Also, Carolyn. Debra. Have a quick second?"
Carolyn and Debra stop and look at Oscar.
"Sure what is it?" Carolyn asks. Oscar walks up to them.
"Stay safe out there. Please both of you. If you need anything, I'm here. Just a call away. You know. I can help you beat Michele's ass with you."
Carolyn and Debra chuckles.
"Oh Oscar." Carolyn said, cluckling.
"I'm serious. I can!"
"I know you can!"
Oscar chuckles and smiles. "Alright, just making sure that you're not alone in this. Good luck."
"Thanks Oscar." Carolyn said, kissing and hugging Oscar. Oscar kisses her back and breaks up the hug. He hugs Debra and kisses her cheek. Debra hugs him and kisses his cheek. She breaks up the hug.
"I'm going to miss you two." Oscar said. "Especially you Carolyn. I can't lose my best friend."
"Don't worry. I'll be back alive soon!" Carolyn said. Oscar smiles. Carolyn and Debra walk away to the front door. Carolyn quickly turns around.
"Oh! Justine!" Carolyn yelled. Janis groans in silence.
"Oh come on! Carolyn, we gotta go!" Janis exclaimed. Carolyn put her hand up, cutting her off.
"It's going to be quick."
"Ah fuck this, I'll met you outside." Janis said, walking outside grabbing her carton of herbal cigarettes. Justine and Dixie get up and walk over to Carolyn.
"Stay safe and do whatever you can to save your friends, your family, and the Las Vegas community for me."
"Okay, I'll do my best. I'm gonna miss you." Justine said. Carolyn smiles and hugs Justine.
"I'm gonna miss you too but I'll come back, before your 19th birthday. I'll make sure to come back before that time. We'll celebrate."
"Where are we going to celebrate?" Justine asks.
"It's a surprise." Carolyn chuckles, touching Justine's nose. Justine chuckles. Dixie chirps happily.
"Alright, I won't hold you up for long. Good luck!" Justine said. Carolyn smiles and hugs Justine. Justine hugs her back. Carolyn breaks up the hug and kisses Justine's head. Dixie rubs her head on Carolyn's leg. Whimpering. Carolyn looks at Dixie and pets her as she picks her up.
"I'll miss you Dixie." Carolyn said. "Be good."
Dixie chips, laying her head onto Carolyn's chest.
"Awww~ you guys are going to make me cry." Carolyn said, giving Dixie to Justine. Justine smiles. Carolyn smiles and walks outside. Debra and Janis looks at Carolyn.
"Ready to go?"
"About damn time." Janis laughs while putting out her cigarette. Carolyn smirks.
"Watch yourself, we don't want you to get left behind." Carolyn said, chuckling. She walks out to the front yard, Debra follows her and grabs her hand.
"Oh yeah? Let's race. Whoever gets to Henderson first, gets to choose which spot to eat for dinner tonight."
"Does the loser have to pay?" Carolyn asks.
"Yes ma'am." Janis said, confidently.
"Well I'm losing, in style." Carolyn said. Debra gets on Carolyn's back, holding on to her as Carolyn starts to fly away towards Henderson. Janis stands there in shock.
"Aw shit!" Janis said, flying after Carolyn.
Oscar and Justine walk out the door, watching them fly away. Waving at them.
