"Haga! Leave them alone, those aren't the humans he said took Ingu. One of these are just a cub!" Nau shouted, chasing after his sister. But he wasn't fast enough. Once Nau came to the tiny clearing his sister had already tracked down the humans she had scented miles before, he froze clutching a hand to his mouth. Haga had shredded the elder two, their torn apart bodies were far beyond recognizable. She had killed more humans...
She was approaching the younger human, he was crumbled at the base of a tree.
"Haga! Please stop, I don't wanna have to hurt you." Returning Naus' growling threat Haga responded.
"Really Nau? It's not like the law can stop me here he is the only law and he despises these humans. You wouldn't wanna upset him now, would you now?
Haga bared her bloody fangs at her brother taunting him. Nau took the bait lunging at his sister pulling her away from the injured human. Rolling around in a ball of claws and fangs, biting and scratching the two siblings agreed in hisses and growls that this would be the losers final fight.
His shoulders pinned to the ground, his sister over him clawed hand raised poised to strike down on Nau's throat. Nau shoved his body over, crashing both him and Haga into the earth. Nau yowled as Hagas claws raked across his face, with a short hiss he rolled on top of Haga giving her not a second to squirm away Nau bit into Haga's throat tearing her neck open before sitting up and spitting the chunk of grey flesh into the soil, the bitter taste of blood coating his mouth.
Nau pulled himself from his knees, nearly vomiting from the pain throbbing from a large gash in his side. Nau lent against a tree for a second catching his breath before walking over to the human crumbled beneath a tree.
The human was a young teen with thick black hair and olive skin dotted with bruises. From a bag on his hip, Nau pulled a large cloth bandage and wrapped it tightly around the human's head, grateful the stain on the cloth didn't grow when he looked back after pulling a small blue vile from his bag added a fresh needle and injected it into a vein in the human's neck.
"There little fella taking some of this for a while and you probably won't even have any permanent injuries from my sister."
Nau Scooped the human up from the ground and followed the faint trail the Brown family walked before. Once Nau had come across the hatch he set Iago down to pull it open before scooping Iago up again and walking through the flimsy tunnel that led to the Crosswoods Church.
Once in the church, Nau set Iago down on a bench, a part of him wishing he knew what name to address the boy he was leaving a note and his bag of blue blood vials to. Slowly Nau wrote his letter in the human language the humans of Crosswoods knew.
I'm sorry for your loss, and the injuries you received in the woods. I have left a bag of blue blood for you, inject a vial a day into a thick vein. Don't worry the woman who attacked you and your family won't come for you. I hope you heal well.
-Nau
Nau left the note and bag of blue blood next to the human's hands and walked back to the hidden hatch at the back of the church.
Stepping out of the hatch, back in the woods Nau let the hatch door swing shut with a thud.
"Tsk Tsk. Killing your sister? Why defend a human, given the chance they kill as if they aren't bound by heart or spirit."
Nau's heart skipped a beat as he heard His voice, the spirit none dead or alive wanted to cross in these woods. He wouldn't ever say his name, but all with the slightest hope of coming out of these woods know who He is.
Nau dropped to all fours, locking his eyes on his hands, and tucking his tail under him. He was upset and He would decide Nau's fate. Nau felt the feeling of warm water pull his face up, Nau knew this was so He could see Nau better.
He let out an echoing laugh that seemed to fill the woods.
"Nau, Nau, I thought you wanted to leave? Leave Sera, leave the humans, leave your brother, leave everybody so you could go dream chasing. We had a deal... You find a way in and kill the Oakmans then I let you go, and if you were to go soft and let the opportunity pass Id curse you so like the others you can't leave dead or alive until the Oakman bloodline is brought to an end.''
Nau's eyesight blurred as he felt himself fall under his own weight before everything went dark.
