Are you really living, or just existing? They are entirely two different things.
Someone said, "You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need." How many people know what they really need? Living is enjoying what you need to the fullest, while existing is struggling for what you just want, that is, enduring life's fates, and that would make one accept life the way it is, without having any choice.
Another person said, "Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."
Margaret Mead said, "Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else."
Don't get me wrong, life, of course, is full of confusion, crises, calamities, chaos or chasm, crime and catastrophes. However, it is full of choices, ceremonies, calmness, cures, cash and charity as well! So, Live it. Live life!
Now, let's see what it means to 'live' in a broader way. LIVE:
*L- Look. I believe you are familiar with the statement, 'look before you leap.' Life is like a journey, don't assume everything is going to be just fine, ok? Everyone is not like you (if you think you are at least averagely kind, honest, peaceful and loving). So, don't expect everyone to always be nice to you. Always observe. Learn to trust anyone, but don't trust everyone. There's always a Judas among the twelve, who would want to stab you in the back. Even in heaven, as beautiful and peaceful and holy and awesome it is, there was an angel who wanted to overthrow the Almighty! How could someone even think about that!
Observe before you talk, 'cause spoken words can't be reversed; learn before you judge, 'cause the cover of a book is not enough to tell it's content; calculate before you make friends, 'cause many are wolves in sheep's clothing; think before you make any choice, 'cause the choices we make, make us.
*I- Invest. How enjoyable your life becomes is dependent on how you invest your time, resources and strength. It is possible to spend time doing absolutely nothing; it is possible to get nothing from wrong investment of resources; and it's possible to use all your strength for nothing! As much as it's good to invest, you must invest wisely, especially your time. Also, just because the results of your investment are not yet showing, doesn't mean you are wrong, it only means toughness comes before success, and tough people won't give up.
Time is precious and priceless, waste it not on the wrong things. As little as the time you spend saying, 'there's no time,' it's a waste of time on it's own.
*V- Verify. Not everything said is true, even if it's coming from a trusted source, as far as humans are concerned. Do you believe what you believe just because a professor told you that, or accept whatever a preacher said just because he's one, without verifying on your own from the Scriptures? (for a Christian).
Well, if you must know the letters in 'human' could stand for the following: h- haughtiness, u- untruthfulness, m- mistakes, a- annoyance, n- naughtiness/nothingness. These are just the qualities of a natural man, without a regenerated conscience.
*E- Enjoy. Don't wait until you become wealthy before you enjoy life, 'cause not every wealthy man is a successful man. When you choose to be happy with the little you've got, working and hoping for better days, that is enjoyment on it own.
This is how to enjoy, e- eat well (no matter how little you have), n- never agree to what you don't want, j- just do the best you can, o- obey the Owner of your life, y- yearn for greater things. It's as simple as that.
Mahatma Gandhi said, 'Live as if you were to die tomorrow...' which was the first part of her statement.
