Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: Attraction

*Purpura*

"Purpura, wake up, we're home," Sou whispered, poking my cheek.

"I wasn't asleep," I grumbled as I opened my eyes. Ava, he, Sehun, and I were the last ones left.

He smiled. "Oh, well, get out."

I groaned and stood up. Couldn't he have just let me sleep? No, if he had, he probably would've had to carry me like his bride. I didn't want that.

Ava stretched her arms as she followed me out. "Today sure was fun."

"Kai seemed like he didn't want it to end," Sehun said, smiling as he remained in the limo. He looked a bit lonely.

Sou got back in and kissed his boyfriend. "Night, my prince. And thanks again for taking me out."

"You're welcome," Sehun said, blushing slightly.

"Come on, let's get you home," Ava said, patting me on the back.

"Yeah," I mumbled.

She put an arm around me. "You okay?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well, you seem distant since the ice cream shop. Do you regret your teasing?"

I sighed. "It's nothing, don't worry about it. Just go home and rest yourself."

"Alright, if you say so." She released me and began to walk off.

"Have a good night, Ava," Sou said, waving.

"You too, Souta," she replied, smiling slightly. She walked away. Her mood wasn't all that different from mine. She was jealous too, after all.

"Come on, Purpura," Sou said, grabbing a hold of my wrist.

"What are you doing?"

He blinked. "Walking you home."

"I-I don't need you to hold my hand for that," I said, blushing under the moonlight.

"I know, but, you're not going to run away, are you?"

I stared at him. "Huh?"

"You look a bit sad, like before. Are you planning on running away again?"

I frowned and turned away. "It's nothing."

"Come on, talk to me, Purpura," he said, giving me a light hug. "I thought we got closer."

I watched as Sehun's limo drove away. "Did we?"

He nodded. "Yeah. When I taught you how to swim." He placed a hand on my abdomen. "Say, you're no longer as thin as you were when you first came."

"Of course not. You kept me well fed."

He smiled. "I'm glad. I wanted to see you fill out more. You were too skinny. It was concerning."

I lowered my head. "You're too good, Sou."

"Is there something wrong with that?"

I shook my head and pressed him against the bushes.

"Purpura?"

I kissed him and pressed my tongue into his mouth. His lips tasted of orange.

He squirmed.

I put my hand in his hair and tilted my head to the side.

Sou moaned as he tried to pull away.

I let go of him.

His face was super red. "Wh-what was that?"

"Sorry, I was a bit selfish."

"Huh?"

I smiled slightly. "You're too pure for me."

He frowned. "What does that have to do with anything?"

I looked away. "Sou, go home. Forget about me, alright? I'm not a good person."

"I knew it! You are going to run off again!" He wrapped his arms behind me. "I won't let you."

I lowered my head. "But, I-"

"No buts, Purpura. I'm not going to leave you behind, okay?" His hold on my waist tightened.

I sighed. "How can you be so stubborn?"

He smiled. "I've always been stubborn. It's one of my strong points."

"No kidding," I grumbled. "Although, I'm not sure if I would call it a 'strong' point."

"Come on, let's get you home," Sou said as he slowly let go of me.

I sighed. There was no way out of this. I blinked as I felt something firm pressing against my butt.

Sou stepped back as if scared. He had his hands blocking out his groin.

"Uh, Sou? Are you...?"

He turned his back to me. "N-no, I'm not!"

I smiled and leaned into his ear. "Pervert."

He groaned and crawled underneath the tall bushes.

I laughed as I followed after him.

He sighed and stopped. "I'm not a pervert, you know."

"Uh-huh," I said, smirking.

He blushed.

I patted him on the head. "It's okay, I won't tell anyone."

"That's not the point," he grumbled.

"Then, what is?"

He frowned.

I sighed. "Just admit that you're attracted to me."

He looked away. "I-I am, but I like Sehun, and I'm dating him."

"You're a good guy, Sou," I said as we reached the other side.

Sou kept his back to me. "I-I'm not. I don't feel like one when you kiss me. Or when you get all close and stuff."

I frowned. "Why not?"

He hugged his shoulders. "B-because, I feel dirty. Like I'm betraying Sehun."

I smiled a little. "Don't worry, Sou. You're not a bad guy. That you feel bad shows that you have a good heart."

He glanced at me and blinked. "Really?"

I nodded. "Yeah. Not everyone feels bad when they do bad stuff. That you feel bad means you have morals."

He smiled. "That said, I'm having you sleep in the bathtub tonight. It's your punishment for tongue kissing me without permission."

I snickered. "Whatever. Just don't make it too cold."

He grinned. "Don't worry. I wouldn't do that."

I took his hand and flew us up to the window. Using my powers, I opened it.

"That's still creepy," Sou said, shivering. "You could enter people's houses and steal stuff, or worse."

I shrugged and flew inside. "I wouldn't do that. Well, unless my life absolutely depended on it."

Sou smiled. "That's good to hear. Now, go to the bathroom and sleep."

I smirked. So, he was serious.

"Hey, why are you grinning?" Sou asked, pouting.

"Just thinking about how cute you are, Sou."

He blushed and looked away. "S-shut up and get out!"

I laughed and walked toward the bathroom. "It makes me happy knowing you're attracted to me."

He groaned and threw a pillow at me.

"Oof."

"Go!"

"Okay, okay. No need to get violent."

He glared at me.

I picked up the pillow and snickered as I walked into the bathroom. He was so cute. Come to think of it, Sehun really was the only thing standing between us. It was only a matter of time until they broke up. Sehun had betrayed him, after all.

*Souta*

I sighed as I got in bed. I stared at the ceiling. "Ugh, that was so embarrassing." I moved my legs around. It still hadn't gone down. Maybe a cold shower would've helped. Although, Purpura was occupying the tub.

I glanced at the door.

"I should probably check on him." I climbed out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I opened the door.

He was sleeping peacefully in the tub, hugging the pillow I'd thrown at him earlier. It was a far departure from the days he would roll around and groan in agony thanks to his nightmares.

I smiled and kissed him on the forehead. "Sweet dreams, my slumbering princess."
