Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Best Time Ever

*Ava*

My ears twitched.

"Something wrong?" Sehun asked, looking over his shoulder.

"I-I'll be back," I said, turning around. "Go back without me!"

"You sure?" Sayuri asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. I think I forgot something back in the nurse's office!"

"Want me to go with you?"

I shook my head. "No. I'll be fine."

Sehun furrowed his brow. "Alright. Let's go back, Sayu."

Sayuri sighed. "Okay."

I rushed back into the infirmary. Earlier, I heard Purpura scream Sou's name. My eyes widened as I saw Purpura hold Sou in his arms.

"Sou!" I yelled, kneeling next to the boys.

"Ava, please help him," Purpura said, his breathing shaky.

I frowned. This guy, he truly did adore Sou. If only Sou loved him back. He was the one who deserved his affection, not Sehun.

"Don't worry. I will. Head back before the nurse shows up. Make sure none of the teachers see you."

He nodded weakly as he handed Sou back to me. "Please take care of him."

I smiled slightly as I put Sou back into the bed. "I will, don't worry." My head suddenly throbbed as I touched Sou's. W-what was going on?

Purpura grabbed me as I almost fell back. "Oi! Don't go fainting on me too."

I laughed weakly. "I-" I gasped as several images rushed through my head.

"Hey!"

*Alfonso*

[10,000 Years Ago]

I touched my lips. Kizu's kiss still danced on my lips. Why did he have to do that? Was he trying to get me to hate him?

Wiping my lips on my shirt's sleeve, I looked up at the ceiling as moonlight rained down on our hidden city.

"Hey," an annoying voice called out. I didn't even turn. I already knew who it was. "What are you doing here? Do I have to keep my eye on you all day?"

She curled her hands on the railing of the balcony. "I wouldn't mind having you watch me." She pressed her shoulder against mine, sending shivers down my body.

Stepping aside, I shook my head. "Is this any way for a princess to act? Are you Opal that decadent? I rather think that you're doing this to get information. Well, it won't work on me."

"Why?" she said with a sly smile.

"Because..."

She leaned in closely, her smile growing. "Because?"

I pushed her away. "Don't get too close."

"Why not? I thought that you were into guys." She snickered. "Don't tell me that I turn you on?"

I face reddened. "What? Of course not!"

"Hey, Alf. Would you mind fathering my children?" she whispered into my ear.

My body tensed up. "I... What are you saying? We barely know each other?"

She put her arms around my neck, leaning in until our lips were but a few centimeters apart. "So what? We only need to have a child. We got no time for a romantic relationship. Plus, you'll have an heir who can guard the priestess' child. In other words, Kizu's child."

I felt my heart drop. Was she trying to tell me that Kizu would never be mine? Well, we were both guys so we couldn't produce offspring to fulfill the prophecy of the Ethereal Stones.

Shina pressed her lips against mine and pressed her tongue against them until I opened up. Kissing her sent a pleasurable sensation throughout my entire body.

She pulled away. "Let's go to my room." She looked at the hallway behind us. "Someone might see us." Sliding the door open, she pulled me.

When we made it to her room which was across the hall, she closed the door behind her. I fidgeted as she walked over to me. "Hey, you're not worried are you? You've been with so many girls, yet you appear inexperienced."

"Only a few times," I said under my breath.

She made me face her. She had a shy smile. "I'm not all that experienced either." Her long fingers slid down from my chest toward my member. "You seem awfully excited for a gay guy."

She was right. Why was I feeling this way? I couldn't even get it up when doing it with any of my girlfriends.

She pulled my shirt off while I did the same with hers. I tried to hold back a moan as her lips ran down my neck. "You're really feeling this."

I didn't respond and just pushed her under me before returning her the favor. She said that she was inexperienced, that had to be a lie. The way she moved couldn't be that of someone who didn't know what she was doing.

I woke up to the sun's rays pouring down on my face. Trying to stand up, I felt a weight on top of me. My eyes widened upon seeing Shina's smiling, sleeping face.

I smiled back, rubbing her long white hair. I had to thank her for the experience. Unfortunately for her, I didn't plan on doing this again. Hopefully our one time would result in a child. Perhaps doing it another time wouldn't hurt.

Suddenly, I felt pleasure surge as a hand rubbed against lower regions. "You barely woke up and you're already this excited?" Shina asked, grinning. "Didn't get enough last night?"

My face flushed. "Please let go. I got work to do."

She unhanded me but before getting off she kissed me. "Thanks, for last night."

I covered my face. "Same to you. But it was only a onetime thing! So, don't expect more!"

She lowered her eyes and covered her well-endowed chest with her white blanket. It didn't resemble any that I had ever seen before. Embroidered on it was an eagle with a white third eye on its forehead.

"Got it," she responded after some silence. "I won't expect more from you."

I reached a hand out to her. "Hey, listen," I said before being interrupted by the sound of knocking.

"Shina, hey Shina!" a worried Kizu yelled. Why did he sound troubled? Had something happened to the princess?

Shina bolted up. "This is bad."

She was right, my life was over!

Shina picked up my clothes from the floor and shoved them into my hands. "Change and hide!" she whispered.

"You don't need to tell me that."

She and I quickly put on our clothes. I hit the floor as soon as I was done and crawled underneath the bed. Luckily it was high enough for me to fit under it. Shina fixed the blankets which thankfully reached all the way to the floor.

The sound of the door creaking sent me jumping. Every moment felt like an eternity as soon as Shina had opened the door.

"What's wrong, Kizu?" Shina asked as she opened the door.

"Have you seen Alfonso?" Kizu asked, his voice shaky.

"Why would I?" she asked, her voice threatening to give her away.

"Right. The guy hates your guts as if you were the plague."

Shina chuckled. "Yeah. He does. The guy was frightened when I saw him in the balcony last night."

Frightened? I wasn't scared! Alright, maybe a little. But it was because she got to close to me. Oh gods, I should've avoided her like the plague instead of sleeping with her. What was I thinking? Kizu was right about my weakness as a knight, even if I sort of liked guys.

"So, you did see him? Where did he run off to?"

"To train. I saw him outside by the courtyard a moment ago."

"Really?" Kizu said. His footsteps drew closer and with each step my breath grew quieter. "I didn't see him this morning." The sound of curtains being opened echoed throughout the room. "He isn't there. Are you sure it was Alfonso?"

Shina laughed nervously. "Well, on second thought, maybe I saw badly."

Gods, she was an awful liar.

"I know! He likely went someplace else. Where do you knights usually go to after training?"

"Ahh, the showers!" Kizu exclaimed.

"Showers?" Shina asked.

"Yeah. Don't you have them back home?"

"No. How exactly does one work."

"Hmm. I'm not all that sure, but it does require a good plumbing system. We probably got the best one in the world!"

"I... I want to try one out," Shina said, sounding childish.

"You can go to the girls' shower room. It's near the boy's so you shouldn't miss it. Come on, I'll show you!"

Shina and Kizu shut the door behind them. I remained under the bed for a while just in case he decided to return and Shina couldn't distract him.

Taking a deep breath, I rose from the bed and bolted out of the room.

"Alf?" a voice rang. I jumped, smacking my head against a bronze statue in the hallway. "Ahh. Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you!"

I laughed and turned to see the princess.

"Don't mind me," I said. I put on my best smile while I tried to think of the best excuse that I could as to why I had just came out of Shina's room.

The princess smiled back, her face as radiant as always. "Have you seen the Opal girl? I went to look for her..."

"Yeah. I saw her with Kizu," she responded, her eyes shifting to the side. "I want you to guard her. Next time she needs escorting, please do it yourself."

Damn, why I didn't I come up with an excuse involving that earlier?

"Right. Kizu is in danger with that girl. Just the other day she..." My eyes widened as various thoughts raced through my head. What if that succubus of a woman was taking advantage of Kizu like she did me?

"Are you okay?" she asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm going to go shower!" I left the princess behind and dashed through the hall until I made it to the showers. I peeked into the boys' shower room.

Kizu looked around and sighed. "Seems that he isn't here. Maybe he'll come later. In the meantime, I should freshen myself up." He removed his white shirt, revealing his muscular and lean body.

My face felt as if it were on fire. I took a deep breath and entered the shower room.

"I heard that you were looking for me," I said, standing straight.

Kizu had managed to unzip his pants before turning around. "Hey." His face suddenly flushed. "Uh, about yesterday, sorry."

I turned away, not wanting to see him notice my stare. "Forget about it. I forgive you... in one condition."

"What?" Kizu asked as he zipped back up his pants. Had my presence bothered him? It didn't use to, but of course, back then he didn't know about my feelings.

"Go on a date with me," I said, turning around.

His jaw dropped.

I sighed. "I mean it. You can choose where you want to go. You don't even have to see it as such. Think of it as us hanging out like we used to before we became busy with knighthood."

He turned away and smiled. "Hanging out, huh? It has been a while since we've hung out outside of training. I'll think about where we should go."

"Alright," I said in a cold tone. I removed my shirt and started to remove my pants when Kizu turned around.

"Uh. How about we go see a play," he said. His face was bright crimson.

I smirked and turned to look at him. "Sure. I would love to!"

He grinned and hugged me. "It's gonna be so much fun hanging out like we used to!"

My heart beat rapidly. Kizu really was the best among friends, agreeing to go out with me for a night just so that I could forgive him. Sadly that was all I would ever be to him. The one he loved was the princess.
