Chapter 40 - Chapter 40: Confessions

*Sehun*

"Hey, feeling better," I said as I entered Sou's kitchen. Purpura had contacted me again via telepathy that Sou had passed out again and so had Ava. When I returned to the infirmary, Ava had called me Shina for some reason when she opened her eyes.

Ava looked up from the sink and dried her hands on a fresh towel. "A little. What about Sou? Has he awakened yet?"

I shook my head and grimaced. "No. The doctors don't know what's going on with him either. It might not be a medical issue at all."

Ava sighed while keeping her eyes on the sick. "I see."

Was what happened between us still bothering her?

"Sorry, again. I shouldn't have let what happened between us to get out of hand."

She clenched the dish rag in her hands and peered down. "I'm an awful girlfriend and friend."

I lowered my head. "If anything, I'm the really awful one here. For using Sou like that."

Her eyes widened and she turned to look at me. "What are you saying?"

I leaned on the counter. "I only used him so that I could get over you but it hasn't worked." I caressed her face. As I did, images of a pink haired guy flashed before my mind. The same thing happened last time.

"Why?" Ava asked as tears stained her cheeks.

I smiled as I moved back. "You love me too. Don't you? Leave Sayuri and I'll leave Sou. Besides, one day they'll discover what really happened between us. The two might hate us, but its better than living with this guilt in our hearts."

Ava shook her head. "Shut up. Sou's mother could return at any time."

"So, that is the truth between you two," a voice called out. I twisted my body toward the voice. A smiling Purpura greeted us.

"Purpura, i-it's not what you think!"

He touched his ears and sighed. "You think I'm deaf? I clearly heard your admission of betrayal." Purpura rushed at me and grabbed me by the collar. "Listen here. Sou didn't deserve getting betrayed! That guy is deeply in love with you. He only ever mentions you. He barely even spares me a look. You two don't even deserve a friend like him!"

"Let go of him," Ava said, concern showering her face.

Purpura glared at her. "You both betrayed him. And not only him but your other friend too."

Tears rushed down Ava's cheeks. "I.... I didn't mean to."

He scoffed. "That's the oldest excuse in the book. Leave now. I'll take care of Sou. Once he awakens he'll hear about this."

Ava lowered her head. "I..."

He shook his head. "Don't even try to explain yourself."

I punched Purpura in the stomach, causing him to unhand me and fall to the floor. "Let her speak!"

Purpura wiped his mouth and glared at me. "You truly are like her."

I gasped. "Her?"

"Your ancestor!"

I gasped. "My ancestor?"

He laughed. "Or better yet, your past life. Sage of Opal."

My eyes widened. I clumped to the floor as I recalled several memories. One of them was of being rescued by a young man who bared a striking resemblance to Sou. Another was of me, as a girl, seducing a guy who strongly resembled Ava. Then came the image of a princess who looked just like Purpura himself.

"The prophecy," Ava said, taking a step back as she touched her head.

*Ava*

I recalled kissing someone who looked a lot like Sou. Me protecting the princess who reminded me of Purpura. Being seduced by a girl who resembled Sehun. Going out on a date with the Sou-look-alike and stealing a kiss from him under the moonlight. Then there was the image of a crying child with light pink opal-like eyes.

Mother had told me that the day would come when the sages would return to this world. When they did, then the end was near. The Ethereal Stones, those with the power to save the world from ultimate destruction, would be born in the following generation and bare the blood of the sages' new lives.

"The end is near," I muttered. "Sehun is the reborn Shina, Purpura is Xun Yi, I am Alfonso, and Sou is Kizu." Suddenly, the images of our first kiss in this lifetime came back to me. Kissing Sou felt oddly familiar and... pleasant to say the least. And spending the night with Sehun was equally as pleasant, despite the immense guilt that followed.

"Ava," Sehun said. He rushed over and held me tightly. "You alright?"

I caressed his face and smiled. "Shina."

He held my hand tightly. "Hey. Don't go to sleep again! Ava!"

*Kizu*

Months had passed since I went on my date with Alfonso. Since then, Alfonso and Shina revealed that they were expecting a child, and son of the Corundum's was born. Meanwhile days had pass since I confessed my feelings to Xun Yi.

Xun Yi had told me to put on some a colorful ceremonial robe and to meet her in her room to assist her in an important task.

"I'm here," I announced, slowly opening the door. The smell of lavender instantly hits me. Spread throughout the room are scented candles. Sitting on the bed is Xun Yi, wearing robes similar to mine. Just like mine, hers exposed her chest.

I looked down. "So. About that ceremony."

She stood up from her bed and grabbed my head into her hands. "Before that. I have yet to respond to your confession."

My head wiped up so fast that my back ached. But the pain quickly washed away as I looked directly into her deep violet eyes and smiling face.

She jumped into my arms and pressed her lips tightly against mine. Slowly she moved away. "There. That's my response."

My lips culled into a wide, stupid smile. I had no clue as to what to say next. "Uh... I'm... What did you need help with?"

Her face reddened as she drew closer. She kissed me once more, this time more passionately. Her long slender fingers ran down my chest as she pressed hers against mine. She continued to slide her hand down until it went below the sash.

"Stop it. We aren't married," I said, shivering as she pressed her body against mine.

"We will be after this," she whispered into my ear. I let out a moan as she kissed my neck. "Don't be afraid. We both love each other. So let's spend these last few years we got, together."

"Fine," I said. I pushed her into the bed and got on top of her. I kissed her passionately on the lips and quickly removed her robe. She smiled widely and removed mine, exposing both of us to the moist summer air. But the hotter heat came from our bodies, not the summer.

"What do you want to call our kid," I asked as I stopped and rose up to catch my breath.

"Let's save that for after we're done, my prince," she said, wrapping her arms around my back. She pulled me in and kissed me.

My face reddened. She wanted a second round? Well, she was the princess. Who I to deny her?

*Sou*

When I finally woke up again, it was already night. My face felt like it was on fire. Why did I keep having to dream of my past life's romantic life?

I pushed myself up of bed and grumbled as I felt a throbbing sensation in my lower regions. Thankfully Ava and Sehun weren't around.

"Had a wet dream?" Purpura asked, snickering as he walked out of the shower.

I covered myself back up with my blankets. "Y-you pervert!"

He turned around, his face was bright red. "Ahh, sorry. I didn't mean to look. Anyway, your friends left and your parents and siblings returned. They'll probably be up here in a few minutes."

I nodded. "Go and hide. Mom might know, but we can't let Dad see you!"

He sighed and turned around. "Alright."

"Wait, I'm going to shower! Hide under the bed."

Purpura sighed. "I hate this. I can't even go outside."

I sighed. "You want to get captured?"

He shook his head. "No but being imprisoned again isn't fun." His purple eyes glanced back at me. "I heard you call out our ancestor's name. Are you incestuous or something?"

My face brightened. "No. I didn't even... Wait, which ancestor?" Did he mean Kizu or Xun Yi?

"Some guy called..." This time his face turned red. "Kizu was his nickname."

"Hey, you've had weird dreams, right? Did you... Your face." I looked down. "Did you ever dream of... being a girl?"

He frowned. "What are you trying to say?"

Our ancestor, she resembled Purpura a lot. From her eyes down to her long hands and arms. "I think that I might be the reincarnation of our ancestor."

Purpura walked over to me and leaned in to kiss me. His lips tasted a lot like those of the princess in my dreams. I push him away and wiped my lips. "H-hey! I told you not to do that again!"

"Sorry," he says, turning away. "You sure get excited awfully quickly. Kizu was the same way."

I gulped. I picked up my pillow and threw it at him. "Perv! Get out!"

He laughed even as I threw the second pillow at him. My heart beat rapidly. Ugh, those dreams made me feel as if I were betraying Sehun! More so Purpura's kisses!
