Later on that night, At UMC Hospital, Oscar and Carolyn arrived after the EMTs arrived with Justine. A blue and black colored flame bursts and swirls behind the couple. The couple turned around. A black man, with a blue polo shirt and blue jean pants to match along with white and blue shoes. Walk out of the flames. He takes off his glasses.
"What happened, Where's my daughter?!" The man said.
"She's inside the hospital. I'll explain later. We don't have that much time." Carolyn said. The man, Carolyn, and Oscar rush inside the hospital. Tonetta looks up and sees them rushing inside.
"Ghost, Nice to see you." Tonetta said, happily.
"Tonetta, where's Justine?"
"She's in Room 15, to the right."
"Thank you." Ghost said. He starts to run to Room 15, Oscar and Carolyn follows him. The surgeon walks out of the room, taking their gloves off. Ghost stops them.
"Did you just come out of Room 15?" He asks.
"Yes sir I did." The surgeon said, "Are you the parent of the patient?"
"Yes I am."
"Oh well. She's going through stitching. She lost a lot of blood but not too much to do a blood transplant. After that, she'll recover in about two hours."
"Okay."
The surgeon walks away. Ghost, Oscar and Carolyn stand in the hallway. Ghost starts pacing back and forth nervously.
"What happened?" Ghost asks.
"Michele happened."
"Watch your mouth, Madame."
"I don't need to watch my mouth, all I'm saying is that she happened to cause your daughter to be in this situation. You need to watch your mouth."
"Carolyn please." Oscar interrupted. "Apparently there was a terrorist attack in different areas. One at the Venetian, the Sahara hotel, and at the Warehouse and Michele and Carolyn happened to be there."
"Oscar, can I explain the rest?" Carolyn asks. Oscar nods. She breathes.
"Michele and I got into a fight that caused The Venetian, The Sahara, The Fontainebleau construction and the Warehouse to be destroyed. I couldn't see how Justine came in but she saved me from being burnt by Michele. She sacrificed herself for me."
"I get it. She likes you guys but why would she sacrifice herself?"
"That's something you might want to ask her but I have to say, that girl is a real trooper. I mean, I have to admit. When I first talked to her, she went through a lot for her age and she's only 15. She's not that type of person to talk about her feelings or her life in general. I get it, I'm like that. Private and reserved with my life. She's really kind and thoughtful. She's really smart and articulate minus the cursing but she makes very clear points in a conversation. You should be a proud father."
"I'm very proud of her regardless, Carolyn. I know why she's going through what she's going through because her mom and I used to argue a lot around Justine when she was younger. I had to own up and be honest that Yes. I have caused a lot of trouble to make her the way she is by opening up to other people. I don't know about her mom though."
"Fuck her mom. She isn't really a mom. After what she did to her last night, she needs to stay away from her."
"Right."
"I understand that she can't stay away from her but she is going to kill her if she doesn't."
"Right. Are you a psychologist?"
"Went to school to become a counselor. I didn't continue my career because I wanted to help Oscar continue to build the city of Las Vegas after him."
A group of the surgeons walks out of the room. Carolyn, Oscar, and Ghost look at the surgeon.
"Are you here for Justine?" The surgeon asks.
"Yes. Is she okay?" Ghost asks.
"She's doing just fine. She is just recovering right now while she's sleeping."
"Can we go in there?" Carolyn asks.
"Oh sure. Go right ahead."
Ghost, Carolyn, and Oscar walk in the room. Justine is sleeping, recovering from the surgery. The group walks up to their bed. Justine wakes up.
"Pops... Carolyn... Oscar..." Justine mumbles as she wakes up. She thinks for a minute.
"Wait. Am I in trouble?"
"No!" Carolyn chuckles. "You're not in trouble."
"Oh" Justine chuckles as she sits up from the bed slowly. She groans in pain. Carolyn, Ghost, and Oscar help Justine lay back down.
"Juju... Why were you at the fight when you know you're going to get hurt like this?" Ghost asks.
"I saw red lightning and I stepped in to save Carolyn from getting hurt by Michele."
"Carolyn is a grown ass woman. She could've handled it by herself." Ghost said, bluntly.
"I know but..." Justine sighs. "I just...I just wanted to save her and I sacrificed myself for her. Yes, it seems illogical since she's a grown woman but sometimes I can't help myself from trying to fight Michele. I just wanted to help and become stronger than I am like you are."
Ghost sighs and breathes. He smiles. "I understand that. But... you could've gotten hurt or worse killed. I would've killed your mother and Michele if something happened to you."
"I know."
"I'm not mad at you at all for doing the right thing, but you failed to realize that she could've killed you."
"Oh." Justine said. "I did it out of impulse."
"Shit, if I were you. I would've done the same thing but it wouldn't be worth it in the end if I knew if the person was more powerful than me beating my ass. That's a learning experience, kid. I'm proud of you for saving a person you care about but next time, if you know that person is more powerful than you. Always try it out but with a plan on how you do it. Doing it out of instinct can kill you." Ghost smiles and carefully hugs Justine. Justine hugs their father back. Carolyn and Oscar smiles.
"I'm sorry pops."
"I'm not mad at you, Justine. but next time, be careful." Ghost said.
"Okay, I will." Justine said.
Ghost breaks the hug.
"Will Felicity know about this?" Justine askes
"She knows. She's ready to kill Michele but she's relieved that you're still alive."
"Oh. Understandable."
Ghost laughs. Justine laughs with him.
"When will you be released from the hospital?" Ghost asks.
"No idea."
"I'll ask when we leave. Until then, Oscar and I will make sure she's recovering well." Carolyn said.
"Thank you, Carolyn." Justine said, "I hope it doesn't impact my grades."
"Your school is closed until further notice because of what happened earlier. I would say check with your teachers for updates."
"Okay."
"Wait a minute, what the fuck happened?" Ghost asks.
"Michele destroyed Justine's school. Desert Meadows is it, Justine?" Carolyn said.
"Yep."
"We don't know what was her motive in destroying the school."
"That's pretty much the point. She doesn't tell her the motive." Oscar spoke up, "She would be telling on herself at that point."
"At that point, the truth will tell itself." Carolyn said. "She may be smart enough not to tell anyone about her plans but her plans will show more than she could tell."
