Chapter 20 - Chapter 5

After flipping through the dozens of pages of Chad's sketchbook, Jeanie could see where the problem lay with his art. He was fairly good at drawing from memory, but his imagination was only so good. Where his true talent in art lay was when he had a live model to sketch. This whole sketchbook was full of his failed attempts to draw her body and it showed the effort he was putting forth to get even the smallest detail right, but none of it was her. She felt a little jealous of the bodies some of these drawings portrayed since they were enviably proportionate. She on the other hand was very much an inverted triangle. She was rather busty and heavyset up top with a narrow waist and narrow hips. She hated her body since it made it difficult to find the right blouse that didn't gape open at the buttons or was too short in the front due to her boobs lifting the material too much.

"Jeanie, are you fretting again?" Chad noticed the expression on his girlfriend's face that looked crestfallen and slightly melancholy.

"Just once again, being jealous of fictional women.." Jeanie tried to laugh off her sour mood.

"Jeanie, I love you for you, not what your body looks or doesn't look like. And when I finally get to see all of you, I am sure I will love the you that's inside all the more because it will match the heart you wear on your sleeve." Chad said passionately.

Jeanie blushed. Chad always had a way to make her feel special inside and loved. No matter what she looked like, she knew he would find her beautiful. It was endearing.

"That's the Jeanie, I know…" Chad whispered seductively as his girlfriend's pheromones spiked in their peachy sweetness. It also helped that the pheromone perfume she was wearing was heightening his sense of her natural scent.

"Chad? Are you sure you're okay with bonding with me? I haven't been too pushy about it and my reasons?" Jeanie had to know if she was unintentionally forcing Chad to accept her.

"I understand your reasons all too well, my silly little angel. You are uncomfortable with the amount of attention you get as an omega and as you've explained to me, and I have personally witnessed, jerks like to come on to you and have no respect for your personal boundaries. It's been this way since you presented. I am okay with bonding with you and have been patiently waiting for you to be ready for this step with me. I thought I was being the pushy one, when I started to make plans for this the moment you agreed to be my girlfriend!" Chad said earnestly.

He hadn't been saving up for a love nest for them for nothing since high school. He had increased the number of commissions for his garage kit painting skills for that little extra bit of cash that brought in alongside his part-time jobs. Although his grandfather had been generous with his and his older brother's college fund and paid for each of their school tuitions, he didn't look that gift horse in the mouth and made sure to pay for his schoolbooks, supplies, and all of his miscellaneous expenses out of his own pocket.

He knew his art classes weren't cheap, especially when they required so many materials. He never wanted to burden his family with paying for his passion so he did everything he could to lighten that. Unlike his grandfather, his parents weren't exactly wealthy. They lived a modest lifestyle and due to their generous grandfather, they lived with him in his large house that was borderline, a mansion. He grew up with the mindset that pulling your own weight and earning what you love and want, was more rewarding than having it just being handed to you.

He was under no illusion that his hard work didn't pay off. It was rewarding to see the work he put into his whole life come to fruition and here he was about to bond with the loveliest girl of his dreams, and he had worked hard to woo her. He had taken the advice of his Uncle Asher, who was his and Jeanie's good friend's dad, about how to woo a person that you were attracted to.

A lot of that advice had brought him closer to Jeanie over the years and so he continued to use it to grow their relationship. The romance didn't need to die just because you got the gal, it was actually only half the battle when you did get them. Afterwards you keep the romance going and you periodically sweep them off their feet and show them how much you care for them. Usually little ways worked best, but sometimes you needed to bring out the big guns and really put your best foot forward and charm the pants off them! Which was what he was hopefully about to do.

Chuckling to himself, Chad smiled at his love who was studying his expressions so intently.

"Like what you see?" He teased.

Blushing again, Jeanie nodded her head. She always loved to see the expressions Chad had. He was a deep thinker and he planned things quite well ahead of when he needed them, so it was one of his more charming qualities in her mind. She was a rather spontaneous sort of person and rarely planned ahead more than what she wanted to wear for the day. Combined with Chad's think ahead lifestyle, one would think they would clash, but they surprisingly worked well together. Her boyfriend was able to adapt on the fly to a change of plans and incorporate it into his day like it was always the plan all along. It was amazing and her often flighty whims were rolled with, without much fuss on his part.

The only thing she didn't do on a whim was her passion for her dream. She knew that it was going to be costly to attend medical school after her pre-med courses were done at the local college, but she hoped that her scholarship as a sigma omega would aid her in the cost so that she could afford to go to medical school afterwards. She was already one step closer to her dream of being a doctor like her great-aunt Matilda, than most, so she was confident that when it came down to it, she would have the solution to her worries about her education.

Her parents weren't exactly super wealthy and they needed to focus on raising her little sister, so she didn't expect them to help as much with the expense of her chosen career path. They of course hadn't outright said anything about her about her college fund being redirected to help with her little sister's upbringing, but she wasn't going to be mad at them if that ended up being the case.

"What are you thinking about?" Chad interrupted his girlfriend's thoughts since he could tell her pheromones were telling him she was slightly stressed from whatever she was thinking about.

"Nothing important…" Jeanie deflected. She didn't need to tell Chad about her worries about her dream. Her boyfriend had his own worries and didn't need her to add to them.

"Don't do that to me, Jeanie. I know when you are feeling upset over something. Are you worried about bonding? Are you second guessing your choice? If you don't talk to me, I can't help you. I don't want to force you if you don't really want this."

"It's nothing like that! I was just worrying about my little sister's future, that's all." Jeanie only gave a partial truth. She didn't particularly like evading Chad's probing, but she was determined to take care of her own worries, without burdening him with stupid thoughts.

"Then walk me through what you are worried about." Chad insisted. He could tell that he wasn't about to get anywhere close to being intimate with his girlfriend as long as she was dwelling on whatever was worrying her.

"I was worried about whether my parents needed to dip into my college fund for her sake. I was worried that it might not be enough for me to go to med school after I finish my pre-med courses, if they need to use it for her sake. I was thinking that maybe I needed to pick up a part-time job to help keep the burden off my parents so that I could pursue my dream." Jeanie was a bit more honest this time. Chad would eventually figure out her worries if she didn't speak up about it now.
