Yesterday swept through the world, leaving behind a violent and bloody shadow. A terrorist attack occurred at the ChemRitm chemical plant that shook all justice and security structures. Even the Investigation Committee and Special Patrol were deceived and could not prevent this terrible terrorist attack. The bombs were not defused, and many innocent people would end up losing their lives. Haruki, with a deeply penetrating pain in his heart, returned to headquarters after this terrible tragedy. His soul was crushed by the cruelty of the world that encompassed him. He had done everything in his power to help prevent this horror, but now he felt the extraordinary weight of responsibility heaped upon his shoulders. The committee members huddled around Haruka, spending several hours discussing the terrorist attack in detail. They all wondered about future events, about the horrors that the Poison Queens, the group behind this act of terror, might have planned. They considered many directions, many options of targets that could be the next targets. Each of them was tasked with knowing the enemy and preventing future tragedies. After much debate and thinking about next steps, the committee members decided to disperse and go home. They had already experienced a dozen emotions over the past hours, and everyone could feel the fatigue filling their souls. But there was one person who still spent his nights at the headquarters - Takumi. Takumi felt like he was in his own territory - amongst the cigarettes, a few forgotten notebooks and mugs of tea, and he was determined and persistent to find the answers they were all looking for. The single lamp above his desk provided dim illumination, and his thoughts darted from one idea to the next, seeking a deeper understanding of the truth behind this particular terrorist attack.
*The next day.Investigation Committee Headquarters.*
Sitting in the room was Takumi, a 14-year-old boy with a passion for crossword puzzles His interest in this hobby amazed Haruki, who had not expected to meet such a young man with such an unusual hobby.Haruki wondered:
- Usually kids his age dream about other things, definitely not about being a member of an investigation committee and doing crossword puzzles at headquarters.
He said hello to Takumi and sat down in a chair, watching the young genius solve complex puzzles. After a while, however, Haruki noticed an error in Takumi's answer. He pointed it out sharply and informed him of the correct answer:
- You should write 'fish' here, not 'sea'."
Takumi gratefully changed his answer and continued with his task. But the process repeated itself. Several times Haruki interrupted Takumi and pointed out his mistakes. Again he corrected his answers at the direction of a more experienced committee member. This continued several times, and each time Haruki emphasized the wrong answer and suggested the correct solution. On the fifth time, Takumi was already annoyed enough to express his displeasure:
- Stop it! You're in the way!
However, instead of being indignant, Haruki smiled and said:
- Okay, okay! I was making it up anyway.
Takumi looked at him in amazement and said:
- You tricked me? What a fool I am.
Takumi had always been amazed at Haruki's ability to manipulate people so easily. He admired his precision and his ability to lead the team at the Committee. Even aware of his manipulations, Takumi still fell for his tricks.
"Haruki is a really interesting person," he thought as he continued to complete the crossword puzzle.
Other committee members entered the room, drawing everyone's attention. Yukio, the chief investigator of the investigation committee after the horrific terrorist attack at the chemical plant last night, sat down calmly in the center of the room and raised his hand for an announcement.
- 'Distinguished colleagues,' he began with clarity and authority, 'I would like to open this meeting of the investigations committee. Our task today will be to discuss measures to reduce the danger to life and limb in our esteemed city. Yesterday's terrorist attack at the chemical plant has caused us great distress and uncertainty for the future.
Haruki, Takumi, and the rest of the committee members folded their hands in front of them on their desks and directed their attention to Yukio.
- We must focus on how to protect our city dwellers from the possible consequences of this horrible incident. Reducing the danger and preventing more cases of illness and death is our goal," Yukio said, emphasizing each word.
The hall was filled with many ideas, suggestions and discussions. Each member of the committee expressed his or her vision for solving the problem.
Yukio continued:
- Our top priority is to drive the toxic clouds away from the city's borders. We must pool all available resources to accomplish this goal.
Yukio also relayed information about a fire at a chemical plant that was successfully extinguished by rescue services during the night. It was important to let everyone know about the positive news to restore a sense of safety and hope. Yukio also shared the data collected from the committee and experts from the emergency services on the estimated number of casualties. He warned that we could lose between 5,000 and 7,000 people in the coming days due to the effects of this terrorist attack, assuming the toxicity level is successfully reduced. Tension hung in the hall - everyone realized the seriousness of the situation and the need to take the most effective measures to save lives. The committee members continued to discuss possible solutions, exchanging information and analyzing data. In fact, the situation at the chemical plant was quite complicated. After the terrorist attack, the plant manager found himself in a quandary, unable to accurately determine the type and volume of toxic substances released on the city. This caused displeasure and concern for Kazuto, who couldn't understand why the manager couldn't say the exact number. After all, people's safety depended on it, and he felt obliged to act drastically and decisively. But here Yukio intervened and explained that the data and information about the released substances had been burned along with the chemical plant. Recovering this data requires time and careful analysis of the wreckage and remains. It is a pity that such an important case will take so long, as people's health and lives are at risk. However, Yukio emphasized that we need to be patient and trust professionals to sort out and analyze what happened. This information was eagerly accepted by Haruki. He was pleased that the hostile organization Blood Carnival had suffered a significant economic loss of 12 billion dollars.
- With such a heavy blow, they wouldn't be able to organize another attack on us anytime soon.
This gave some hope that the committee could rest and recover a bit from the whole terrorist attack.
A small discussion arose between Haruki and Yukio on how to use the current situation to weaken the Blood Carnival organization. Yukio suggested taking the opportunity to strike at them more to weaken their activities. However, Haruki disagreed with this approach and insisted that the aftermath of the terrorist attack on the chemical plant should be dealt with first. Haruki felt that now was not the right time to actively counter the Blood Carnival. All forces and resources should be focused on solving the problems caused by the terrorist attack on the factory. This would not only prevent betrayal of the people's trust and confidence, but also ensure the safety of the people while the factory reopens and normalcy is restored. Takumi, decided to share his thoughts. He voiced his fear that the Poison Queens could take advantage of the current chaos and carry out a new terrorist attack to kill more people. He reasoned that at the moment all the organizations were busy dealing with the aftermath of the first terrorist attack, and this could be an opportune moment for the enemies. Haruki, hearing Takumi's opinion, agreed with him. He admitted that he himself would have done the same in a similar situation. However, Yukio was more cautious and pointed out that the Poison Queens might be planning another attack, but not with such massive consequences. He suggested that they temporarily shelve that thought and focus on investigating and eliminating the threat from the first terrorist attack.
Haruki interrupted the meeting in the Committee Headquarters room, he abruptly stood up from his chair and announced that he was leaving in a hurry to meet some very important people. Everyone was left surprised and a little puzzled. However, Takumi couldn't just sit there and he wanted to go with Haruki. He resolutely walked up to Haruki and said:
- You're not going alone, I'm going with you!
Haruki looked at Takumi with amazement. They left the hall and headed towards the elevator. Already on the way, Haruki started a conversation that was not at all related to the topic of their meeting:
- Takumi, if it's no secret, don't you think it's weird that you don't have a home?
Takumi looked at Haruki in surprise and replied:
- Is that weird? I really don't have a permanent residence, so I'm sleeping at headquarters. It's no big deal.
Haruki squinted his eyes in surprise and asked the next question:
- You're so antisocial, you're acting so weird. All people want a cozy home, a family, a sane mind. What about you? What do you aspire to?
Takumi leisurely gazed into Haruki's eyes and answered him:
- Maybe all of this is really important to someone. But I have no desire and strength to build family values. I just want to enjoy life, be free and irresponsible. That's my way.
Haruki was amazed at the depth of thought that Takumi's reply managed to capture. He suddenly remembered himself at the age of 14, when he too had asked similar philosophical questions. Haruki and Takumi finally arrived at the warehouse where their meeting was to take place. When they got out of the car, Takumi inquired:
- Who are you dating this time?
Haruki, already walking towards the warehouse, replied:
- Hiroki, head of the Special Patrol.
Takumi frowned, his interest piqued, and he asked the next question:
- Why are you meeting with him in person? I thought we could invite him to our headquarters.
Haruki, pulling out his phone, answered:
- It's a private meeting, a private conversation. That's the way it is.
Takumi remained somewhat aloof, watching Haruki thoughtfully. The latter dialed Hiroki's number and started the conversation:
[ranobe 8]
- Hello, great hero Hiroki, where are you?
- I'm on my way!
- Hurry up, I'm already pooping with anticipation!
- Ew, damn it!
- I'm waiting for you! - Haruki hung up the phone.
Suddenly, Hiroki appeared behind Haruki and Takumi, accompanied by two masked men with automatic rifles in their hands. Haruki looked at them in surprise and said:
- What kind of foolishness is it to bring men from the army with you?
Hiroki pouted and said with obvious annoyance:
- Based on that call where you asked me not to bother you, I now just want to shoot you and smear your guts on the wall.
Haruki was even more surprised by this reaction from Hiroki. He took a decisive step forward, quickly ran and in a flash he snatched the automatic rifle from the hands of one of the guards, pointing it towards Hiroki. But suddenly, Hiroki plunged his knife into Haruki's leg. The sharp knife pierced his flesh, causing untold pain. Haruki tried to shoot Hiroki in the head, but found that the automatic was not loaded. In desperation, he fell to the floor completely defenseless.
Takumi, witnessing all of this, experienced a wave of anger and despair. He shouted:
- Aah! Haruki! Magic: Cletogenesis: Dragon!
Takumi transformed into a huge, ferocious dragon, ready to attack. He tried to bombard Hiroki with fire, fully directing his rage at his enemy.
Haruki, struggling to endure his pain, screamed in despair:
- Stop, Takumi! He's out of your league! The Special Patrol is the most powerful organization in the world!
However, Takumi didn't listen to him. He continued to attack, throwing fire from his furious mouth. The fire burned everything in its path, but Hiroki suddenly showed his magic power.
- Okay, do you want to keep attacking? Magic: Photokinesis: Blinding of the Gods," Hiroki said as he cast his own magic. A bright white ball appeared on top of his palm, which instantly expanded and illuminated the entire room with its light.
At the same instant, Takumi suddenly returned to his usual human form and collapsed unconsciously to the floor. Haruki, seeing this, cried out in despair:
- What did you do, you idiot!
Hiroki looked at the man lying there, his face full of mockery:
- It's no big deal, he's just resting. So why did you set up a meeting with me?
