After Isabelle enters her room, Alex heads to the balcony. He taks out his phone and makes a call.
"Layton," Alex says to the person on the other end of the line.
"Yes, sir," Layton responds with a hint of reluctance, knowing that when Alex calls at this hour, he usually assigns tasks.
Layton is Alex's right-hand man and a trusted friend.
"Find out who that person was who almost harmed me," Alex instructs.
"How are you, sir? Are you okay?" Layton asks.
"I want you to investigate that person as soon as possible," Alex says before ending the call.
Alex returns inside, feeling exhausted and sore from the unknown assilants who attacked him. He lies down on the sofa, and before long, his eyes close.

The next morning, Isabelle wakes up at 5 AM as she usually does. When she was married to Zac, she would wake up early to prepare breakfast for him before he left for work.
Isabelle gets out of bed and heads to the bathroom to wash her face. After finishing, she goes to the kitchen.
Upon arriving in the kitchen, Isabelle opens the refrigerator, only to find that there are no ingredients to cook with. She looks around, trying to figure out what she can prepare.
Isabelle is startled when she hears a voice behind her.
"What are you looking for, miss?" Alex asks, standing behind Isabelle.
"Oh my god," Isabelle gasps, surprised, as she palces a hand on her chest.
"I'm sorry if I startled you," Alex says regretfully.
"It's okay, Alex," Isabelle reassures him.
"What are you looking for?"
"I'm looking for something to cook, but it seems there's nothing in the fridge," Isabelle explains.
"Hehehe, I can't cook, miss," he says, chuckling and scratching his non-itchy head.
"Shall we order delivery, then?" he suggests, and Isabelle nods in agreement.
Alex grabs his phone and starts browsing through nearby restaurants. They settle on a local Thai restaurant known for its delicious noodles and spicy curries. While they wait for the food to arrive, Isabelle and Alex chat about various topics, finding common interests and sharing their life stories.
As the conversation flows, Isabelle discovers that Alex is not just a handsome face but also a kind-hearted and ambitious person. Alex, in turn, is captivated by Isabelle's beauty and grace, but he's equally impressed by her intelligence and resilience.
The Thai food arrives, filling the room with mouthwatering aromas. They enjoy their meal, sharing dishes and stories, creating a bond that neither of them expected.
Time passes quickly, and before they know it, the clock strikes midday.
"Wow, time flies when you're having a good time," Isabelle says, stretching her arms.
Alex smiles and says, "It was a wonderful day, Isabelle. I'm glad you came into my life."
Isabelle blushes and replies, "I'm glad too, Alex. Thank you for everything."
Alex walks Isabelle to the door, and as she's about to leave, he hesitates for a moment before asking, "Can I see you again, Isabelle?"
Isabelle looks into Alex's eyes, and a warm smile forms on her face. "I'd love that, Alex."
They exchange contact information, and Isabelle leaves Alex's apartment.

After a 30-minute drive, Isabelle arrives home. But when she's about to open the door, someone calls her name.
"Isabelle," Zac calls out to her, causing her to turn toward the sound.
"What are you doing here again?" Isabelle asks curtly.
"Where have you been?" Zac replies, not acknowledging Isabelle's question.
"That's none of your business," Isabelle says curtly, while she inserts her key into the door of her house.
"But it is still my business, because you are still my wife," Zac insists.
"Soon, you'll be my ex," she says mockingly.
"Isabelle, please forgive me. I'll treat both of you fairly. We both want a child, and Jenny is pregnant with my child, which will also be yours," Zac says without a hint of guilt.
"No, I will never forgive a traitor like you," Isabelle says, immediately opening the door to her house and slamming it shut, locking it to prevent her husband from entering.
Isabelle stands behind the door, crying and lamenting her fate. Her marriage had to end because of a third party. The third party was her own bestfriend, someone she considered a sister.
-KNOCK-KNOCK-
"Isabelle please open up, we need to talk," Zac shouts, banging on Isabelle's door loudly, drawing the attention of the neighbors.
"Ungrateful husband, having a beautiful wife and everything, yet still betrayed her," one of the neighbors comments.
"Go away, I don't want to talk to you. We'll meet in court," Isabelle says from behind the door.
"There will be no divorce because I will never divorce you," Zac retorts before leaving, as the neighbors continue to mock him.
Isabelle still leans agains the door, crying inconsolably.
"I have to be strong. I'm not a weak woman, and I must not cry over that traitor," Isabelle mutters determinedly as she wipes away her tears.
