The kingdom feasted for 5 days and just like before they readied themselves for war. Ethan had arranged that the Dawnbringers stay behind with the Azure dragon and Emerald falcon.
IT was reported that the kingdoms had lost quite a bit of their power and thus have not been able to replenish their strength just yet, James had suggested that due to that fact they would strike fast when they are caught unprepared.
Ethan was left at Vale city to protect it and the armies were divided into two. Asher would lead the Dragons Fang Fangs Order to Argenthrall and Magnus, James and Rowan would head to Florathell with the Obsidian order.
Magnus and James would be enough, and Rowan was just sent into the shadows in case something happens. As the armies marched Ethan sat at his cozy fireplace drinking tea looking through his system mall which he wanted to do but then Asher had advanced and they held a feast, so only now was Ethan had time to continue searching.
And a certain category attracted his attention, Elemental stones. He browsed through the stones, there was a vast variety of stones, but one stone grabbed his attention, Amber Sunstone: Radiating with the brilliance of sunlight. Ethan had realized it since he came to this world, but it is pitch black at nighttime and torches are used but Ethan for one was not satisfied. And finally, as he saw this stone he remembered what he wanted to do, so he called William. "These are blueprints for a type of lamp, I intend to put amber sunstones in them to create more light during the night. Send these blueprints to Gavin and Leo and let them report to you when they would be able to finish building a few lamps on every street in all my cities."
"All of them Your Highness?" William asked confused. "Yes, all of them, no city town or village will remain without light from now on in my kingdom."
William bowed and disappeared quickly. Ethan still had nothing to do and kept on browsing.
Meanwhile a large group of soldiers could be seen trekking through the dark mountain. It was precisely one of Vale's armies. In the front of the group 3 people could be seen leading. It was precisely Magnus, Rowan and James. To accomplish their task swiftly and without alerting the enemy they decided to travel through the Darkness Mountain as the Kingdom of Florathell lies just ahead behind the mountain peaks.
As the group made their way through the towering mountain pass, the air crackled with anticipation. The sun cast a warm glow on the armor-clad knights as they bantered, their spirits high amidst the impending invasion.
The three men slowly rode on their mounts. "Ah, the thrill of the unknown! We venture into the heart of the enemy's territory, my friends. What say you to that? Rowan said adjusting his sword belt.
"My friend, this is where the legends are born! The bards will sing about our conquest for ages to come." Magnus replied grinning mischievously.
"Legends, you say? Well, I hope they have a bard with a good sense of humor. I'd hate for you to be remembered for tripping over your feet amidst battle." James teased.
"Fear not, James! My axe fighting is far too impressive for a mere stumble to tarnish my reputation. Besides, it's not every day we get to overthrow an enemy kingdom. Let's make it count!" Magnus laughed, shrugging at his statement.
"Indeed! I can already envision the enemy's faces as we break through their defenses. The shock and awe will be a sight to behold!"
"Shock and awe, huh? Yes, that would be nice to see" James laughed as well.
"Battle awaits, my comrades. Let us continue our ascent with unwavering determination. The enemy kingdom lies just beyond this mountain."
Magnus turned to the soldiers walking after them and shouted, "Onward, Valesmen! To victory and glory!
"To victory and glory!"
And at the same time further north to their position another group could be seen rushing through a large expanse of meadow a man in the lead, much faster than the rest of the group as he had to slow down now and then for them to catch up.
In the distance one could see a large city peeking over a small forest, and just as they were about to run into the forest Asher commanded the group to halt.
"Something's not right" he muttered under his breath as he surveyed the forest in front. "Scout!'' he shouted and as soon as they were called 2 men rushed out of the group. "Look through the periphery of the forest, don't go deep, something's wrong."
"Yes, sir!" They rushed into the eerily quiet forest. Not long after Asher with his strong senses faintly heard fighting and he rushed to the sound of battle with a few knight captains.
When Asher arrived at the location of the fighting, he could see the 2 scouts fighting against a small group of 4 people. When Asher saw these people, his pupils could not help but constrict. The small group of four were wearing pitch black clothes with demon masks on their faces. "Capture them alive!" Asher commanded.
The knight Captains reacted and swiftly captured the 4 men, he then turned his attention to the scouts and saw that they were grievously wounded. If not for the new armor that was made from the ores if Frostfall they would have most likely not have survived,
"Go back and rest." Asher commanded. "We will retreat to the meadows and first try to get information from these little guys, without knowing what is going on and attacking could prove to be fatal." he said to the Knight Captains.
The day that was supposed to be a day of blood- well only speaking for Argetnrhall, was strangely peaceful. The day passed and finally Asher found out why the information he wanted. He immediately sent a letter to Ethan by crow about his new discovery.
It was late at night when Ethan was awoken by the sound of a crow. He walked toward the crow and took the letter that it brought. In the letter Asher wrote down his discovery of more enemy forces. He told Ethan about how he captured the group of men and how at the end of the day they told Asher that reinforcements from the Demon Pavilion was residing in Argenthrall, but the four men was too low level to know much more than that.
