After Leo left, Ethan sat atop his throne and devised plans to go forward. He spent hours thinking and brainstorming to no avail, he did not have any idea what to do and so he went for a walk to calm his mind.
It became a habit that if he is not in seclusion busy cultivating that he would once a week walk around the city streets. So dressed in a brown cloak with a few ornamental designs and a simple black mask covering only his nose and mouth, he started his weekly walk.
Ethan had a lot on his mind as he walked and without him even noticing he consciously walked to his favorite restaurant in the city- Vale Cuisine. It was a plain shop, nothing fancy compared to the more expensive restaurants in the city. He became fond of the restaurant as he once encountered a small girl called Rose.
Rose had a bright, infectious smile that could light up a room. Her big, expressive eyes sparkled with curiosity and wonder, their warm brown hue reflecting her kind-hearted nature. Soft, chestnut brown curls framed her cherubic face, bouncing with each step she took. Her button nose sat perfectly in the center, adding an adorable touch to her youthful features. With her rosy cheeks and a sprinkling of freckles across her nose, she radiated a natural, innocent beauty. Playful and full of energy, she was a delightful sight.
She was a bundle of joy, full of energy and she is a cute 10-year-old. Her mother opened the restaurant after her father's death.
And so, she became a little waitress to every daily visitor loved to pamper or tease. Ethan remembered the one time he got teased by the little girl, she had told him that she wanted to grow up strong and protect her family and due to him dressed in cloaks that time and how tired he was she thought he was weak person and told him that she would protect him when she grew up.
And ever since then Ethan came to visit the restaurant for two things, a delicious barbeque style cuisine and to see Little Rose. These were the times that he could relax and not be bothered by kingdom affairs.
As Ethan sat down at a table a little bouncing girl could be seen hoping between tables before she came to his table and exclaimed, "Uncle Cloak. You finally visited, you were gone for such a long time, I thought you did not want to come visit." she exclaimed happily.
"Hahaha, nothing of the sort, Little Rose, I was just busy with work and could not come and visit." Ethan said with a smile on his face. Ethan was flustered and confused at her addressing him as 'Uncle Cloak' at first, but the girl kept calling him that even when he told her not to, so he just got used to it.
Ethan then ordered a barbeque style dish and ate it. Afterwards he said his goodbyes and left, the sun was setting, and he decided to return to the castle. He went for a bath and then sat before the cozy fire in his chamber thinking about the day.
The Kingdom was at peace due to the war that was over, but Ethan kept guard over his borders for invasions. He sent his ravens into further kingdoms to keep tabs on their movements. The rest of the troops were gathering and recuperating, and even more soldiers were taken into the army. So, another time of peace dawned, well for now.
The night came to pass, and the sun shone brightly when Ethan woke up. He ate breakfast and started to cultivate for 3 hours before bathing and summoning different councils for discussions. Nothing extremely important was said except that construction for the academies has already begun and results will soon follow in the months to come. The farming was expanded, and it became so large that each town began to produce their own type of crops, for example the Port City of Valenor grows Seaside crystal weed and Mist Haven started growing Nightshade berries.
Nothing more was said than that and thus the meeting was adjourned, and the people went their way.
Ethan then went to visit the army barracks and knight orders quarters and gave a few simple commands. And finally, he summoned James. "I hear that the bandits of the Eastern Mountains started raiding our caravans and trading merchants. I want you to take a force of soldiers to eradicate these bandits."
"Yes, my King."
After James was sent on his mission Ethan convened yet another council, one that he had almost forgotten to do if not for James that reminded him of it.
A few moments later a group of people could be seen walking into the room, there were five people gathered at the meeting excluding Ethan. Asher, Rowan and Magnus attended, and beside them stood two new people, both of were the new Knight Order Heads of the Emerald Falcon and Azure Dragon.
His chiseled jawline and piercing blue eyes commanded attention, hinting at a fierce determination within. A rugged beard adorned his face, adding a touch of masculinity to his handsome features. His hair, a tousled mane of chestnut brown, fell gracefully to his broad shoulders. Donned in gleaming armor, he wore the scars of battle with honor. With a muscular physique and a regal bearing, he embodied the epitome of a gallant warrior, ready to defend the realm with unwavering bravery and unwavering loyalty.
Alistair Stormrider was the new Order Head of the Emerald Falcon, A 9th Stage Apprentice Knight. His piercing, sapphire-blue eyes sparkled with determination and wisdom, reflecting the depth of his character. Strong, angular features chiseled his face, accentuated by a neatly trimmed beard that hinted at his resilience. Golden locks cascaded down his broad shoulders, adding an ethereal touch to his noble appearance.
Gabriel Whitaker was the Order Head for the Azure Dragons and a 9th Stage Apprentice Knight. His eyes, a mesmerizing shade of stormy gray, held both intensity and kindness, reflecting the complexities of his soul. A strong, noble jawline framed a face adorned with a well-groomed beard, adding a touch of rugged charm. Flowing locks of chestnut brown hair cascaded down his broad shoulders, embodying a sense of untamed strength.
Seeing as everyone was here except of course James as he was on a mission Ethan started," Today I gathered you here for one thing. I want to create a council but not any council, one that could make the most important decisions in my stead and the future generations to come. If anything happens to me, they will develop and lead the kingdom. I call it the Supreme Council and, in the council, there are and always will be only 6 members known as the Sacred Elders.
