I opened the window and looked at the beautiful surrounding. I smiled as I breathed in the cold air.
I continued driving. Hindi ko naman maikubli ang napakalaking ngiti sa labi ko dahil sa sobrang saya. I am just so happy today because I will get to celebrate our first month together in our resort. Lumingon ako sa kan'ya. He's sleeping soundly. His benign look makes him so cute.
Binalik ko sa daan ang mga mata ko pero nang mapansin kong gumalaw siya, lumingon agad ako pabalik.
"You're awake." He wandered his eyes around before they landed on me. I chuckled as how cute it was.
"Nasaan tayo? Wala pa ba tayo sa pupuntahan natin?"
I shrugged and smiled. "Basta."
He frowned. "Ano ba 'yan!" I chuckled again as I gripped the steering wheel and focused on driving.
Hindi na siya nagsalita at binuksan na lang ang bintana at pumangalumbaba habang nakamasid sa paligid.
As I continue driving, my smile suddenly faded when a truck was approaching our way. Paliku-liko ito habang papalapit. Biglang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko at tila parang tumahimik ang paligid. Bumigat ang paghinga ko at mas lalo pang lumakas ang tibok ng puso ko.
I tried to stop the car, but to no avail. Sweat started rolling on the side of my face. Matarik ang lugar kung nasaan kami ngayon. And the choices I had were either to throw the car off the ravine or crash it into the tree on the side. I felt my lips dried as I ponder on what to do next.
Tinignan ko siya at nakatingin na rin siya sa akin. I smiled sweetly. Then, a tear fell from my eyes as I mouthed him I love you bago bumangga ang sasakyan.
After that, everything went silent.

Napabalikwas ako at napasapo sa dibdib ko habang hinahabol ang aking hininga. I inhaled and exhaled to calm myself while drying the sweat on my forehead. Pinunasan ko rin ang nangingilid kong luha.
Bumangon ako at naglakad papuntang veranda. Sinalubong agad ako ng malamig na hangin. Tumingala ako.
I have been dreaming of that scenario for over a year already. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit ko iyon napapanaginipan. It always makes me wonder on the reasons why. The faces were blurry but the voices were familiar to me, but I couldn't recall who they were. And that loud explosion in the background, it always leaves my heart in chaos.
I sighed and wiped the tears from my eyes.
Did I forget something so important before?
I don't know. All I know is that for the past three years, something has been missing in my life. I know that there is something in the depths of my brain and in my heart. Something that I should not have forgotten.
Something that seems to be the memories of before.
