When the mission notifications arrived, Theo immediately perked up and quickly opened himself up to being surprised by something he didn't expect.
[Congratulations, player, you have completed your first class quest and are now an Apprentice Mage.]
[Classes are divided into Apprentice, Experient, Master, and Sage.]
[You have unlocked a new skill: Earth Sense.]
[World Announcement]
[Congratulations, player ****, for being the first to complete a Class quest.]
[A reward will be given to the player.]
That was the surprise he got, he didn't even imagine that leveling up and unlocking the class would be rewarded by the game master. But this would be good for him, as he would receive more benefits in the form of in-game rewards. The chest that fell in front of him was different from the others, it had symbols of the 4 elements, as well as many drawings of spells being cast.
Theo then decided to go back to his house and open his chest there. He didn't trust Gael or even his new subordinates, they must prove themselves worthy of that trust.
He took out his entire inventory, in total, there were 3 chests in front of him with different rewards. The first one he opened was the one that came last since it was related to magic, as soon as he opened the chest, an earthy brown light appeared, followed by the smell of wet earth, and then everything disappeared.
Theo imagined that it was because of his Earth element that all this happened, but he didn't dwell on those thoughts for long. In the chest there were 3 things, one of them made Theo euphoric, and the other two were not bad from what he could see.
The first thing he removed from inside was a new staff, this one was a much more compatible size for him. As the jewel at the end hit his chest, even with the staff sitting with the lower part touching the ground. This time it looked like it was not an energy stone, which was embedded at the top, but rather a brown sphere brighter than his goblin staff stone. Upon checking the information, Theo was even happier than he already was.
[Earth Staff]
[Staff using earth energy stone refined by a skilled craftsman. Can reduce the cost of basic and exciting spells by 10%. It also has a basic magic shield that can be used up to 2 times a day at no cost.]
The second item was less special, but still very useful. Especially for Theo, who had no basic understanding of magic, his classes with Alika went straight to learning the stone bullet magic.
[Mage's Apprentice Tome]
[Here you will find the correct way to use your gifts, as well as the most basic spells for a magician's daily life. It also contains records of the experiences of some wizards on their journey to rise to the rank of Sage.]
This item contained the story of some wizards on this planet, as well as numerous spells that could help in everyday life, such as levitation of objects, cleaning, and the creation of some basic potions.
The third and final item was a glove, which seemed simple until he checked his information.
[Leather glove]
[Gloves made from the leather of a mystical creature can absorb MANA present in the air and refine it by passing it on to the owner afterward, giving the user a kind of filter of impurities for MANA.]
These gloves were practically a MANA generator that would give Theo more autonomy to go into battle in the future, but not everything was perfect. He discovered later that because he had the job of purifying his MANA, he only received 1 point every 2 minutes. This time was too long in a battle, but during his training it would be perfect.
The second chest he opened came with the characteristic silver light, as well as 3 items, which was like the first one he opened. Already excited about the previous items, he hoped not to be disappointed with this chest. When he looked inside and saw what the rewards were, he wasn't happy, but he wasn't disappointed either.
Taking out the first item, he found himself holding a pair of pants that were a mixture of cloth and leather, this was something that worried him, and now he had solved the problem. Don't have extra clothes for when yours get too torn or stained, he didn't know why, but this pair was counted as a reward item. The second was more overwhelming to receive, a small leather bag with 6 bottles, 3 blue and 3 red. The first thing Theo thought of were health and MANA potions, and when he opened the information, he found that he was indeed right.
Each vial recovered 20 points, either health or MANA, but that was already a lot and could be the difference between life and death on the battlefield, where he intended to go more often. The last item in that chest was some kind of old lantern that seemed unused until he discovered what it was for. This flashlight was a quest item, it would guide the user to something they really wanted while holding it. The next trunk was quickly opened, and in it were a pair of long-sleeved shirts made from a quality fabric that could moderate the body's temperature, either making it hotter or cooling it down, depending on the situation. There was also a necklace that he equipped as it increased his MANA by 10 points, and the final item was a scroll that he immediately used once he checked his description of the system.
[Map Release Scroll]
[Allows the user to unlock the map function from the menu, the map will only show places where the user has been personally. It also allows the user to create landmarks, in addition to giving the name of a new location whenever it is discovered.]
When Theo used it, he could see on his new map, which looked a lot like those minimaps in games, his location. As well as the name of the forest he was in and the location of the kobold village attacked yesterday. The forest was called Highwood, and he imagined it was because of the height of the trees here, some were almost 100 meters tall.
It may seem to some that his luck in receiving items had run out with the first chest, but only he knew that these rewards were exactly what he needed at the moment to improve his life at the camp. Perhaps these reward chests were made to give players what they required, was his conclusion.
After checking all the rewards, Theo decided to start the day and quickly focused on the tasks of collecting the felled trees and selling them in the trade section. After lunch, he called Amethyst and asked her which village they were going to attack next, she replied that it would be one of the kobolds before they had complete information about the beings they found in the other village.
He then ordered everyone to prepare and left for the kobold village to get more resources and maybe even more subordinates.
