Chapter 7 - New Unit

A/N: The previous chapter came out with an error and part of the text missing due to the corrector, but I've already fixed it and updated it.

When morning came, Theo woke up and after getting ready, he went out to face the day, he checked the XP messages of his units taking out his ranger. The others went up a level each, giving him an extra level as well. After distributing his points, his statistics looked like this.

[Level: 3 0/300]

[Class: None]

[Skill: Lumberjack]

HP: 110

MP: 0

Strength: 6 ~> 8

Defense: 6 ~> 8

Vitality: 11 ~> 11

Dexterity: 8 ~> 10

Charisma: 4 ~> 4

Luck: 5 (Cannot be changed by attribute points)

He had understood that increasing the strength of his units alone would not be enough to live in this game, even if he no longer left the protection of the barrier, it would eventually disappear.

His skeletons would also not be strong against all the dangers and races that exist on this planet, so starting today he would start building a wall around the clearing. But first he would recruit the unit available today.

He approached the mausoleum and repeated the ritual he had done in the previous days, soon a new unit appeared, this was really new, as he had not yet summoned one like it before.

He was a ghost, his body was semi-transparent with a slight purple color, he wore a hood that covered his face and a tunic made of energy. It covered his entire body, ending just below his waist and turning into a tail-like mist.

[Ghost Killer]

[Level: 1 0/100]

[Skill: Camouflage, Assassination]

When Theo looked at his information, he was surprised, but something even more surprising happened. The ghost said, to Theo's delight, that he missed talking to someone sometimes.

"My lord, what are your orders?" He said as he approached Theo and gave a slight bow.

"For now you will protect me, but once your companions return you will investigate the forest and see if there are other places like this nearby, and also find animals and monsters for your companions to hunt. Your biggest task will be to gather information from this forest for me." Said Theo as he moved out of the barrier.

He would need stone, a lot of stone, to create a high wall around the entire clearing. So he decided to sell packages that he would call 'house packages' in which he would put enough wood to build a small house like the one he had before to update it. To do this, he would have to have a lot of wood, and he could only get it himself for some time.

When the skeletons returned, they were all dirty with a lot of dried blood, and some leaves and vines stuck to their bodies. Theo told them to greet their new companion and then go back to rest the mausoleum, in the meantime, he had already cut down 2 trees and was a little tired.

Theo asked Amethyst to fetch him some water, giving her the bowl to fill from the well. As the ghost walked away, he stayed safe in the barrier without daring to leave, he collected the trees he had felled, but none of them gave him an extra log.

He repeated the process alone until his skeletons emerged from the mausoleum and approached to help. Thus, he released Amethyst to hunt and search the forest up to a kilometer away from the clearing, looking for other players, whether human or not.

With his warriors helping and his ranger keeping watch, the cutting of trees took off, and now Theo collected them as soon as they fell to the ground. As soon as he had enough in his inventory, he created a package and put it up for sale. The price was 2 stones per log, or some other things he had checked out in the craft section and was interested in, such as rope or fiber to produce it. Clay bricks, which could be used to create some things, one of them an oven.

Theo didn't need an oven now, but he knew a recipe from his previous world for how to make yeast-free bread, he would only need flour, eggs, salt, water, and butter. Some ingredients would still have to be produced, but he preferred to be ready when he got everything, plus he could roast the meat in a new way.

At the end of the afternoon, Theo had already collected all the trees that were 2 meters away from the barrier, he began to create the wall using the stones he had received in exchange for his packages. The wall could be built by pieces in the crafting section of the menu, today he would start the part that would be behind the mausoleum and his house.

Creating a 2-meter wall for now would be enough, but later he would have to increase its size. Theo decided to make the wall in a square shape around the barrier rather than inside it, as he wanted to test how good the wall would be against large animals like that bear.

He managed to finish the entire back wall, and if he continued like this tomorrow he could get the side wall and in two more days he would finish the wall, exactly the day the barrier would disappear. His only concern was that he wouldn't get enough buyers to finish, so he opened the trade section to take a look at what was being sold.

Theo noticed that despite being the only one selling wood, the other players did not sell as much as he did. He also noticed that many players who had already purchased his pack were now selling stones in packs as well. Collecting resources they were lacking and giving other players who didn't have stones in their regions the chance to purchase Theo's packs.

Seeing this, he knew that he could build his wall and also help players who emerged from difficult or low-resource regions. Going to the regional chat, he discovered that many players were thanking him for creating the house packs, making it easier for everyone to create at least one permanent shelter before the barrier disappears.

Theo knew that many might not have enough strength or time to raise the resources that the stone sellers asked for. And so they would die more easily when the barrier was no longer there and the animals and monsters could enter. But it was inevitable, he couldn't lower prices or ask stone sellers to do so, it all depended on the buyers and their units.

Taking some meat from his inventory, he placed it on the stone to roast, and then used a bucket of water to wash himself and remove the sweat and dirt from his body. He also asked his skeletons to hold their loose clothes near the fire to dry, he was now, as he came into the world. Theo didn't mind being naked in the forest since there was no one else here.
