I scoffed and tried to stand up but I couldn't stand propey I was clearly limping as I managed to stand properly on my own my fathers voice rang out …
"Amy. did you or did you not open your mothers safe "
he said while staring at me .
If it was the old me I would have accepted it just for my father to just look at me with love . then I would have thought that if I accepted it then he would have at least said 'since u accepted it and did not lie about it then I'll forgive u but it never happened ,he never once looked at me. he doesn't even like my face I don't know where it all went wrong but I know for sure that he does not love me ..
"Honey, she did not just open my safe she took my money and other few jewelries too " my mom said while looking at me with dissmisive eyes .
"Why would I take money and other jewelries from your safe when I have more than enough Mother"
I said trying to not shout at her due to the fact that she is my elder .. at times I even wonder if she is my mom at all because we barely look alike .
only I and my dad look alike we have the same eye colour and the same skin colour but everything else is different .
"Oh mum she doesn't want to accept it even after being caught , dad please deal with her quickly we are gonna be late for the banquet" mika said trying to hasten whatever punishment I might get .
" Amy, follow me up to my study and everyone stay out of sight ."
we went up to his study , I barely pass this side of the house so anytime am allowed to pass here I admire the furnitures and paintings .everyone in this house knows that he loves paintings and anything that has to do with art work
lost in our own world we both got to his study and he took a seat and I stood at the front of the wide desk . He was staring at me and still in thought he was scrutinizing me it was really hard to keep my face straight but after what felt like hours of staring he fainaly broke the silence .

"why don't you call me dad like mika" he said looking at me with those big cute eye , I know he is old now but he still has those cute eye which makes people unable to say no but today am gonna stand my ground .

"I thought you don't need it sir " I said truthfully .
the he chuckled and stood up to go close the door the he sat right in front of me .

I sat at his front trying to compose my self .

"I called you here for something that is long forgotten " he paused and then continued "it has long been forgotten and buried deep down "
"Dad I don't get you " the word came out so smoothly that it even shocked me . he satred at me and suddenly smiled .
"I know I've acted like I don't care lately . No all the time . am not saying I'll change or what but I just want you to know why Annabel hates you so much I know she has been doing a lot of foolish things so I can hate you but u never stood up for yourself at all . Now u suddenly went against her script and said no . I've been waiting for this all along . you are my daughter and you need to know this so I want to tell you .
Mabel my first love is your mother not Annabel she died after birthing you . I needed someone to take care of you but I don't know how I fell for her and her tricks I shouldn't have but what has to happen happened then after that we got married and had Mika then I thought it would be the one happy family I thought of but I did not know how it all changed she always showed love to you abt after she gave birth she started neglecting you and your needs too ..
I should have done something then but I thought its because she has her own child too so I let her be but that was the greatest mistake ever it was. the worst I've ever done I should have stiped her .

he said with hope and love in his eyes for the very first time I was about to respond but a knock broke the atmosphere that has unknowingly formed

"Honey we are going to be late please come let's go we will deal with this later "
"I'll be out in a bit dear go preatare the car and gifts please " He replied after we were Sir she left he said
"we will talk about this later but don't let a word out of
your mouth cuz I don't want unnecessary fighting but for now go and redress and come back here so we can go "
I rushed out to my room to redress I was super quick then I went back after that we went out and got in the car each mom and dad shared a car while mika took her favourite car and I to mine on the way I kept on thinking of everything he said I was shocked I didn't know how to respond .
then j heard my drivers voice Philip .
"Amy we are here " . he is not much older that I am so I insisted he called me Amy and not madam unlike my sister mika . I got out of the car and waved at him "Thanks Phil and please wait by I might not stay long in this party . then he smiled knowingly and said " don't cause unnecessary trouble for your dad this time " he said then I remembered the last party we went to mika did something stupid and blamed me and as usual I would accept it and go home early and sulk in my room but not any more tho
"oh no Phil I'm not doing anything this time but I'll keep it In mind .. bye " then I walked off .
