Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: Broken cup- another debt

Ivy had a peaceful sleep. The dream she had went by like a flash. She never minded the dreams she had because it all didn't seem to matter and the faces weren't clear, so when she would wake up, the whole detail of it would disappear.

"Flora! Flora!! Flora!!!" Someone yelled her name from afar but the voice was faint, everything felt strange and that was when Ivy opened her eyes to the bright rays of the sun. Someone had pulled her curtains aside but who did it?

She sat up and yawned with no memory of her dream. She stretched her arms widely aside forgetting she was still in Damian's house but then it dawned on her and that perfect waking up hooked up in the air.

She got out of bed and went to the balcony, one of her regular bad habits. She would go to the balcony and survey the atmosphere before beginning the day.

Clover, who was standing close to the gate, spotted Ivy on the balcony and smiled. This was one thing Flora always did.

"She's got to be Flora. There's no doubt." She watched as Ivy went back in.

The time was just 6:52 am, she took her bath quickly, wore her Lolita's maid dress and went out to the kitchen to ask what her work for the day would be.

"Are you hungry?" Layla asked, walking up to her.

Layla was practically the one in charge of things in the kitchen but didn't cook a thing. She just supervised.

"No. I actually wanted to see if I can do anything here." Ivy said.

"Oh!" Layla exclaimed. 'I forgot she was acting as a maid.' she thought. "Well, food is ready. You can help serve it to the boss." She said.

"Bo... boss?" Ivy asked, surprised that that would be her first chore.

"Yes, he's at the dining table now." Layla said with some hidden motives, handing a tray over to her.

"And where is that?" Ivy asked, accepting the tray from Layla.

"Just follow these ones as they go but you must give this directly to the boss." Layla instructed, pushing her gently to the line.

"Al... alright." Ivy agreed and followed the line of maids who had a tray of one type of food or the other.

Ivy was a bit nervous, although it was like serving in the cafe. Plus, her tray had liquid contents. She was scared of spilling the whole tray on him once more just like the previous day.

'Why did she send me directly to him? It's like a death trap and I'm the victim.' she gulped as she approached his seat. He had his attention somewhere else and so didn't realize that Ivy was the one sent to him for his coffee.

The previous night, as expected, the S-men escaped right under their noses. It wasn't a big deal since it happened most of the time but Damian couldn't quite figure out what they were after.

Ivy's hands shook as she emptied the tray's contents on the table. She hoped he would stay engrossed in his thoughts till she was done because he kinda sent shivers down her spine but he got a scent of her and looked up causing their eyes to meet.

Ivy froze as the last content fell from her hand and to the floor, shattering into a dozen pieces.

"Damn girl!" Damian exclaimed and Ivy quickly bent down to pick the pieces, apologising nonstop.

"I'm so sorry! It's my fault. It was an accident." She blamed herself even when she knew it was his presence that made her clumsy.

"Don't touch that!" He snapped but she had already picked up a broken piece and wasn't careful enough, so it cut her.

"Ouch!" Ivy exclaimed at the piercing of her finger.

"Look what you've done!" Damian rushed to her, holding her finger to himself. "Get the first aid!" He yelled at a maid who quickly ran to get the first aid box. "You should learn how to be more careful." He warned.

'You should learn how to be more careful? Where have I heard that before?' Ivy thought staring at Damian who showed a lot of concern towards her bleeding finger. "It's fine, I can do it myself." She said but he disagreed.

"You never do anything right, I'll do it." Damian insisted and sat her down while he knelt by her with one knee. "Why can't you be more careful?" He asked, sounding really concerned.

'I can't believe he's concerned but how come? I can't feel the pain, maybe it didn't go in too deep.' she concluded in her thoughts.

"Does it hurt?" Damian asked, rubbing her already bandaged finger. She came back to her senses and removed her finger from his grip, retreating it back to herself.

"Ah yes. Thank you but I can manage." She stood up. "I'll just get something to clean up the pieces." She turned to leave.

"You broke something belonging to me." Damian said, getting back to his feet and she stopped but didn't turn to him.

"I know, I know. You can add that to the duration of my stay. I've got nothing to lose anyway." She said, nonchalantly.

"Good!" He exclaimed and she walked away.
