My body dragged against the earth, my limbs numb with pain and my head throbbing as it rolled limply on my shoulders. Twigs snapped beneath my weight. Consciousness came to and from me. Soft leaves dragged along with my body, and grass crumbled beneath my limp legs. I squinted my gaze, found my vision was obstructed with tears and blood. All I could see were fragments of dull color as something pulled me along. I had gotten the attention of a bear, perhaps.
I wished I could see if it was a bear I'd been feeding.
