Hekate was in control of my body as of the moment. He walked steadily towards where the others were kowtowed without being able to move. He struck at the person closest to him and he was flung into the air before landing, and lay unmoving on the spot. He struck immediately at the next person and the same happened.
'Hey, how would you know that they are dead?' I asked.
All I have to do is hit. They are dead. A hit from me is a guarantee.
'Well, that may very well be true, but…' He moved on to strike the next person.
What? Just say it. He said, with a rather impatient tone.
'Wouldn't it be better if we just let them run around? I mean, that would also increase the fun too, right?'
What fun? Gods do not have fun. He struck at the next person swiftly. This one catapulted into another and they both whipped at that huge tower before stopping.
'Oh. I never knew gods could be so boring. I don't think I want to be a god anymore.'
Oh, don't worry. You need not stress too much. All I actually need is to rejoin our souls. You will automatically regain your godhood, I think.
'Except I don't want to regain my godhood.' I grumbled.
He stopped as he stood in front of Sherby and the gang. If he were to strike again, the next victim would be Sherby.
Right now, I am more powerful, so I make the rules. When I say A, you do A. If you want to stand against me, you have to overcome me. Do you understand?
~Silence~
DO.YOU.UNDERSTAND??
'Yes. Power dictates the rules and all.'
I'm glad you understand this. It means I won't have much of an opposition from you.
"Ignitus Corporis" Hekate stretched out his hand and recited this chant. Immediately, fire spewed out his hand and consumed everything as far as I could see. Even the portal and tower were ignited. The strange thing about this fire was the colour, it was green. I didn't let that bother me though because something else did. There was one thing that wasn't burning. Or, shall I say one person.
"So it really is you. Hekate." She said as the fire burnt her clothes and skin to reveal a new reddish coloured skin, along with a leg that had a goat hoof. As if I hadn't enough surprises today. She was finally able to free herself of the constraints put on her and the others so she could stand freely. It was El.
"Oh." Hekate voiced a negligible amount of surprise. "How did you know?" He asked.
"I had my suspicions when you made us bow. Only some creatures from the Nether and higher realms can force me to do something like that and among them are gods. That was my most likely guess since your lot likes to come down here every so often."
"Plus, what god is so weak that I can beat that easily? Or what god can't use all his powers? Easy answer."
"Hmmm." Hekate grunted. "So what if you know? You still can't do anything to me."
"I couldn't do anything to you." She replied. "But you just supplied me with what empowers all creatures from the Nether. Fire. And not just any fire, but the mythical emerald fire. Right now, I can bet my ass that I can take you." She concluded.
"Oh really? Then let's have a go, shall we?" Hekate immediately dashed in, fist clenched and into the fire. Surprisingly, we weren't hurt by the fire. He reached her position in the blink of an eye and swung his fist at her chest.
Her hand moved swiftly and intercepted his, and surprisingly enough, she could match his strength. She swung her other fist at his head, aiming for the kill.
"Hmph." Hekate snorted. He swung his own fist to meet hers and they both collided midair, releasing a mighty shockwave that raised the dust everywhere. The stalemate of their fists continued for a few seconds before the force caused both of them to retreat.
"Haa… It seems I may have to be careful of you this time." Hekate said. "However, I have something that will end you once."
Jason, I want you to kill her.
'Me? How do I do that? She even matched your strength!'
Don't worry about the details. I will get you close, all you have to do is deliver the finishing blow with that Sword of the Nether.
'That thing can kill her?' I asked.
There are so many things about that sword I still don't know, much less you. But is there is one thing I am sure about that sword, it is it's power. It can definitely kill her.
'Alright, then. Let's do this!' I cried.
Don't get too excited. We've never done an extremely fast switch like the one we are about to do now. A lot of things could go wrong, y'know?
'Then let's make sure nothing goes wrong.'
As naïve as ever, I see. Come on!
Hekate shot forward with exploding speed, leaving behind a large crater in his wake as he approached that creature from the nether realm.
"Demon, this is where your corpse will be buried!" Hekate screamed as he swiftly approached that creature.
"You talk too much, little prince. Didn't your father teach you etiquette?" She replied. Upon following the voice to the other side of the still lingering dust, there was no one there. He turned around and found no one.
"Come out and stop hiding, you coward!" Hekate bellowed.
"Oh my. Is the spoilt young brat angry already? Did I touch a nerve? Ha ha ha ha."
Hekate immediately turned around as swiftly as he could and delivered a punch, but there was nothing there.
"I could've sworn…" he started.
"Got you!" That female voice said from behind. Hekate ducked and rested on his hands while extending his legs backwards and raising them to hit whatever was coming from behind. It was a clean hit as El was sent flying backwards but the cover of the dust quickly made her disappear from our line of sight.
*Cough* *cough*
"Ha…" There was a light chuckle from all around. At this point we had both given up on finding the location of the voice. "It seems I underestimate you, even now. But do not worry. I will drink your blood so slowly you will beg for a quick death at my hands. I will cause you to beg me for mercy, outcast! The whole world will hear your screams."
After that there was silence that lasted over a minute, putting even me on edge, even though I wasn't in the fight, until Hekate turned toward a random part of the dust and shouted: "She's coming!"
