Miguel felt a lump in his throat with the hard gaze his father had on him. What was he going to do in this situation?
"Father, I can explain." Miguel started, his voice gentle yet firm.
The old man raised his brow. "Are you finally going to admit that your relationship with Cecilia is fake?"
"Fuck, no, father. I'm married to Cecilia and our relationship isn't fake." Miguel said almost yelling, his voice filled with affirmation.
His father knew his son wasn't the type to give in easily. Only if Miguel knew he knew about his fake relationship, it'll be much easier but he still had his plans. "Son, are you sure about this?" He asked again, thinking Miguel was going to have a change of opinion but to no avail.
Miguel nodded in response. He had a whirlwind of thoughts in his head. His father sighed making him rejoice inwardly since the old man didn't push forward with the question. Does that mean his father believed him already?
