Chapter 35 - DARING TO COMMIT MURDER

"What the hell?" The girl whose best friend had left had her jaw wide open.

She couldn't help but feel a pang of pain in her chest, she definitely had to break up with her boyfriend, and chase this new guy.

"How can he do that?"

Martin was like a wind god as he stood in the middle of the numerous wind blades.

His hand pushed back his bangs causing the girls to swoon, and they didn't hide it.

There were a lot of murmuring around the students, and even the higher tables were whispering among themselves.

"He has good control of his mana, and it must be very sufficient to cast such number of blades."

"Agreed. What a rare gem. What grade is he? I'm sure he's an A-grade."

"Actually Sir, he's still in the F-grade."

"What? Doesn't the school encourage such talent?"

"Ehem…" The man just chose to keep quiet as he didn't have what to say.

Martin was angered, and he stared at Frey with a hard face.

If he wanted to kill him so bad, maybe he should have a taste of death himself.

"You nameless bastard. You don't scare me!"

Frey was delirious.

"You'd pay for crippling my cousin."

Martin's eyes slightly widened, he suddenly understood why he thought this kid was a bit familiar. He looked like Jin.

"Fire rune: Flaming Showers! "

Frey casted his spells, causing balls of fire to appear around him, and now it had turned into a battle between Wind, and Fire.

They both stared at each other, one with hatred spilling his eyes, and the other one had a large smile on his face when he saw who his first scapegoat would be.

Martin stood at the other end, his robes being blown around by the huge gist of the wind surrounding him, his smile turned into a smirk full of absolutely confidence.

He was going to turn the kid into mincemeat if the referee couldn't save him on time, and he would enjoy every bit of it.

With a wave of his hand, the blades moved swiftly heading over to Frey's side of the huge battle arena.

Frey brought the fire elementals under his control, and he sent them forward, clashing against Martin's blades.

Both spells collided with huge force, sending huge ripples in the air at every collision point.

It was marvelous to behold as each elemental energy sent waves into the heart of everyone present.

The higher levels were astonished by what was going on.

They didn't think that such an F-grade would be able to compete with an A-grade.

It had only happened once, and now they were witnessing it with their own eyes.

"How is he doing this?" The Vice-Dean couldn't help but clench his fist in anger.

However, no one paid any attention to him, as they were busy watching what was currently going on.

Martin's wind blades were having the upper hand as they cut through the blue balls but they weren't strong enough to continue the distance towards his opponent.

They weren't the only one who saw this as Frey gritted his teeth in frustration.

He could feel the veins appearing on his head.

"Why is that Axton kid not getting hurt or better still, he should have been dead."

Frey increased his power output ready to send into a state of oblivion. He was ready to more, when he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

He knew better than anyone that he was overexerting his mana, and he couldn't hold on any longer.

But he didn't care, as long as he was able to kill Axton, nothing else mattered.

Martin had also noticed that the power of the fire balls had reduced, and he knew that it was his chance to get rid of the boy once, and for all.

Martin glanced upwards, and the look in his eyes changed to a dangerous glint. He activated his Gale steps, and zoomed forward.

The wind blades were still under his control holding back the fire balls that dared to block his path.

Frey saw him coming, and his concentration wavered causing a few of the fire ball to disappear.

Yet he stood his ground, it was good that the boy was heading towards him, it would make his job faster.

Frey looked closer, and noticed that Martin's speed had increased.

"He wasn't as fast as this before."

Something developed in his heart, an emotion that only his father had made him feel, and one he had not experienced in a long time—Fear.

He had not expected that he would take such route.

"Burn!" The fire balls suspended in the air immediately moved to stop Martin's advancement but they were futile.

The students everywhere wondered what drama Martin was trying to cook up, and most of them didn't want him to cook.

"What the hell is he doing?"

someone couldn't help but get angry at the stupidity of this Axton kid.

"Why the f**k is he running to his death?"

Martin ignored the comments, moved faster, and dodged the area where the balls were suspended in the air.

He had a wind blade in his hand, and he was definitely going to draw Frey's blood.

Frey saw Martin rushing towards him, his confidence shot up.

This fool was just running straight into his trap, and he was going to happily welcome him.

On the other hand, Walker's side eyes immediately caught something glistening in Martin's hand, and his eyes shook.

"This boy… He wouldn't dare."

He was about to alert the water mage but Martin was faster, he had passed through the fire ball obstacles.

Frey's countenance changed when he realized what was going to happen.

"Get away from me! Fire rune: Fire wall."

He placed his hand on the ground, and a wall of fire shot up before evaporating.

It was useless, Frey was unable to get good control of his mana as his fear had taken control of him.

He looked up to see Martin closing in on him.

"I'll end your delusions." Martin passed through the fire balls, to appear in front of a wide-eyed Frey with a smile on his face.

The countenance of the referrals standing by was shaken when they realized what was going on, and they moved but they were too slow.

Martin brought the wind blade down ready to end Frey's pitiful life, when something or someone immediately blasted him back with a massive force, causing him fly away.

The students immediately gave way, and the boy rolled across the floor before hitting his back on a pillar.

_Damn, he's stronger than I expected…_

A man stood in front of Frey with furrowed brows. His grey hair was packed to the back, as he stared down at the fallen Martin. His aura exuded ultimate magnificence, and his face was expressionless but his annoyance was felt.

Every one stood straight with their mouth open, even the families seated on the high seats had stood up to look at the man. A needle drop would have been heard because of how silent it was.

It was Sigrid Calmar Kian.

The head of the greatest family in the city had left his seat.

Martin was on the floor recovering from the after effects of the blast. His lower lip was bleeding, and he rubbed his hand across it, partly covering the smile that broke out on his face.

_About time, you old geezer._
