Her sword protruded from the other side of the large Bloodbane wolf. She growled shoving it from her blade. "That's the last one of them!" She said.
Anthony ran his sword through a wolf's neck, disembodying it's head. He was finally done With his share. He jerked his head back to see Fiona staring back at him, "everything here wants to kill us!" He said with a riled voice.
"Hahaha!" She laughed heartily, "weak bones, let's be off before any more cold blooded animals come for dinner."
Anthony nodded. Both of them raced deep into the forest as fast as they could.
Anthony turned his gaze to the trees, he could still feel his ankle hurting from when the tree wrapped a vine around it. The tree had revealed it's sharp razor teeth and attempted to eat him whole. Fiona had saved him by setting ablaze the whole tree.
"Where are we headed?" Anthony asked anxiously.
"To our crystals," she answered.
"We have crystals?"
Fiona growled, "damn!" She stopped turning around and wrapping her hands on Anthony's shirt.
"your questions are annoying me! You are causing me to loose focus!" She barked outvyanking him back and forth.
Anthony stared utterly confused, her distance to him froze him up, her face was just a feet away, and her eyes identical to 'Fiona's own'.
"You have such beautiful eyes," he complements her with a soft calming voice.
She withdraws herself from him looking stunned. "Thank you weak bones."
"Why do you call me that?" Anthony asked with an eager expression plastered to his face.
"Because that's what you are!" She said with an insultive voice.
Anthony felt perplexed but only smiled, "and how do you know that? I need to know your reasons."
Fiona stretches out a hand pointing a finger at him. "Your aura is rich, good, but unfortunately your physical strength needs much improvement. I can see your weakness and debility in attacking without Aura. On first notice of the cursed Griffin you attacked it without Aura and you were barely able to put a dent on it, that would cause you your life if you don't bloody work on it!"
Anthony stared at her with a new sign of respect. She knew all of that with just few glances during the battle, that was clearly outstanding.
She turned away, "tell me about your trainer, and why he roughly forgot to bloody brief you on what you were here for!"
Anthony hesitated for a while before answering. "Senior Kiraya, I can't blame him... He rarely remembers anything, I am guessing he forgot to tell me my main objective."
Fiona burst into laughter, "haha, how often does that crazily happen?"
Anthony shrugged, "a lot. Once he forgot where he dropped his sword and made me search the whole forest for a whole day telling me he left it by a tree branch, when I came back I found him with it. I asked him how did he find it and he said, 'it was by the door the whole time'."
Fiona shook her head smiling in accordance, starting to walk down the path in a slow pace.
"What about your senior, he must really be better than mine!" Anthony asked.
"Shh!" Fiona quieted him in haste.
Anthony scanned his environment finally noticing it, the forest path had come to a stop in front of a dark omnious huge cave entrance with no trace of life.
"What's in there?" Anthony whispered.
"Our crystals," She whispered back "and probably a damn doomsday beast."
Anthony huffed out having a great sense of foreboding from the cave, he leaned foward a little and placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, "let's be on our way," he said to Fiona boldly.
Fiona doesn't reply taking the leads to the cave.
...
Anthony looked up at the ceiling, thick and humid, more astonishing was the purple plant on it that gave a low purple glow that lighted the way.
"What are those things?" He asked.
"Freaking purple dung flowers!" She snarled. "Stay away from the blue ones they can kill you!"
Another question crossed Anthony's mind, "how do you know all this?"
Fiona exhaled angrily, "shit! My brother told me! Why are you bugging me?" She barked out. "I will squash you if you continue to question me!" She threatened.
Wow so mean, Anthony thought. He ran his hand through his hair and smiled, "it burns me to shun my anxiety."
"Then let me burn your fucking anxiety for you!" She snarled patting her scabbard softly.
Anthony getting the message kept quiet, he couldn't stop thinking of her reason of being overprotective.
They came into a wide open space, the roofing arched high up like a dome over them. Anthony scanned through the open space, at it's walls like vines reaching high up to the roofing of the cave were the blue plants Fiona warned about. In front of them were two huge tunnels leading separate ways.
"What tunnel should we go through?" Anthony asked knowing she was more experienced than he here.
Fiona examined both cave tunnels thoroughly by sight, "let's go left!" She said. "If we don't find what we are in search of there, I don't see no harm in coming back to take the other damn route."
She was confident of her say, and very convincing. Anthony thought on it, "considerably wreckless but..."
Boom! Before Anthony could complete, a huge boulder shot out from a tunnel headed fast for them.
As the boulder came into range Fiona withdrew her sword out of her scabbard and without hesitation cuts the boulder in two halves rendering the attack null.
"What was that!" Anthony dropped his hand to his hilt.
Fiona tightened her grip on her sword narrowing her eyes into the darkness of the tunnel to see their attacker, she snarled as she caught a figure of the attacker "Dead meat."
Fiona broke into a sprint for the tunnel her sword to her side.
Another boulder goes whizzing through the air. She veers right dodging the boulder that crashes aimlessly into the ground. Another boulder twice bigger than the previous is sent for her.
"Bloody coward!" She barked out bending her knees and launching into the air. Her sword enamated purple lightning as she met the boulder cutting through it easily, the lightning shattering it to grit.
Three boulders flew from the tunnel at once, "duff!" Fiona comments as she swung her sword for each at long range sending out bolts of lightning that destroyed all boulders.
Fiona landed on her feet exhaling softly, she inserted her sword back into her scabbard and yawned, "what a waste," she turned back to Anthony who raced for her his face filled with fear, "let's go."
"Fiona!" Anthony screamed with a panicking tone.
Fiona turned back to the tunnel to be before a large boulder about to squash her, it was clearly too late to evade so she braced herself for impact.
She jerked her head back and with all her might launched her skull forward to head butt the boulder hard. "Ahhh!" Fiona shouted her head meeting the boulder. At first there was a split cracking sound, the boulder later slowing in velocity then crumbling to dust.
Anthony froze overcame by shock, she was indomitable, strong and precise in her ability. How thick was her skull? He thought.
Fiona turned back to him again looking unscathed, she smiled "let's go weak bones."
"Well... Uhn... You are annoying!" They both turn to the tunnel.
"But... Uhn... Amazing!" The voice was drawled and devoid of emotions.
"A Bloodbane that speaks and controls rocks?" Anthony asked with a puzzled look. "Why hide in the shadows?"
"I... Uhn... Wasn't hiding," he finally came to the light, he was in total black shirt and trousers, his eyes full black, white in complexion, looking halfly decayed with maggots all over his rotten skin, he held a sword in his hand that was visibly dried bone in appearance with only little flesh, dark wisps of smoke vented from his skin "uhn... I was being patient."
Anthony glared at the irritating sight of it, "what happened to you?"
Fiona gigled, "he bloody failed the test, hahaha," she joked stretching out a finger at him, "he died and got possessed by a Bloodbane spirit... Bloody soul walker idiot failed... And they tell me boys are superior, you stinky rat face maggot dick, your attacks are worthless! I will glady end your life before it irritates me even more!"
"You... Uhn.... Annoying useless female," the soul walker insulted.
Anthony took out his sword from his scabbard holding it's hilt with both hands, "what do you mean by soul walker?"
Fiona turned to him and answered "darn Bloodbane spirit possessing humans!"
The soul walker tightened his grip on his sword, he raised it high with one hand and lodged it deep into the floor, "uhn... I might not be able to get the strong target, but the weaker is more deafmute to see it until it's too late."
What did he mean by that? Anthony asked himself. Whatever it was, he needed to keep his guard up for it.
"Shut it maggot face!" Fiona growled taking a step forward, she was about to lunge for her enemy when her legs instinctively froze. She suddenly felt a sliggt tremor from the floor approaching them. Wait! She screamed within, the soul walker had kept his posture same and firm unmoving, she vibed a dark string from his sword lodged in the ground, running from him to....
"Anthony!" Fiona called out.
"Wh..."
"The...." Before she could complete the floor below her bursts open with a huge rock pillar protruding out and hitting her from underneath.
"Ahhhh!" She cried out in pain as the pillar rose up dozens of feet high taking her off the ground smashing her into the roofing of the cave before crumbling to dust.
"Arggh!" she coughed out plummeting to the ground.
Anthony races for her aid, but before he gets any closer, a spike made of sand sprang out of the ground too fast to react lodging deep into his right shoulder.
"Tsk!" Anthony cried as blood gushed out from his penetrated shoulder dazing him.
"Ahhh!" Fiona hits the floor, her whole body aching and trembling from the last attack. "Darn bastard!" She groaned as she began climbing to her knees groggily. Her head bumped into a blue flower causing it to rain blue pollen grains all over her. Shit! She said breathing in the blue pollen grains. She fell to her face immediately passing out.
"No!" Anthony yelled out raising his sword to slash down on his restraint but before he makes his attack a sand formed chain wrapped itself around his sword and hand restricting his movement. "Damn you!" Anthony struggled to break free but it was no use.
The soul walker gave a grimace as his gaze locked unto Anthony's. "Just as I failed my test you will all fail!"
