SOPHIA'S POV
Knowing I should very well not get myself involved in this "dinner", still didn't hold me back from wanting to confront Marcus.
Our first encounter wasn't all that pleasant, and made me feel lower than I was. I was nothing near impressed with how stupidly my emotions took charge of the situation, and dinner was the time I had to bounce back.
I wasn't just meeting with an ex boyfriend any longer, but with a man who vowed to bring me into ruins. I'd have to show him that I wasn't that easy of a girl for him to just think he'd have fun with. I needed this retribution so desperately, just so he doesn't start cooking up ideas of how much of a control he had over me.
I now lived in a not so small apartment; it was lavish, cozy and luxurious. It was a little far from the bustling city and I had picked this apartment specifically because of this attribute. In my really chaotic life, I desperately needed some sort of calm whenever I got home.
