WRITER'S POV
The crazy whirlwind of divorce and custody battle finally ended and Damien's life had already returned back to normal. He sold off the mansion Sophia and the kids grew up in, mostly due to the fact that Annabelle insisted it would be a sort of distraction for her bonding with the kids. She wanted to gradually build a bond with the twins, as she felt the profound desire to have her children actually refer to her as "mum" and not "auntie".
Remaining in the house would, however, forever paint a missing piece in the mind of the twins and they'd end up questioning why their mother, Sophia had been absent for a really long time.
