Chapter 33 - The Invoktion Process

Yuro followed Nima through a series of corridors, each more restricted and high-tech than the last. Biometric scans, coded passwords, and AI-driven security bots monitored every corner. The air grew colder, more sterile. They finally reached a door with the emblem "Invoktion" embossed on it.

"Welcome to Invoktion," Nima said, her tone somber. The door slid open, revealing a room filled with state-of-the-art equipment. In the center stood a pod-like structure, surrounded by multi-armed robotic machinery, screens displaying advanced algorithms, and a team of scientists clad in white suits, their expressions focused.

"This," Nima began, "is where we will integrate the Dark Matter Genous into you. The process is, to put it mildly, excruciating. But once it's complete, you will possess power beyond imagination."

A scientist stepped forward, introducing herself as Dr. Lin. "The Dark Matter Genous isn't just energy we'll be infusing into you," she said, pointing to the swirling dark matter within a secured container. "It's a complex force, interwoven with the very fabric of existence. The challenge is ensuring your body and mind can handle and adapt to its intensity."

Yuro swallowed hard. "What will happen?"

Dr. Lin motioned to the pod. "You'll be placed inside the Invoktion Chamber. Nanites will be injected into your bloodstream. Their function is to serve as a bridge between your cells and the Genous. The Genous will then be released into your system, and as it begins to fuse, you'll experience intense sensations. It's essential to remain calm. Panic could result in rejection."

Another scientist, Dr. Theo, added, "The pain you'll experience is your body's natural defense. It will fight the intrusion. But we've tailored pain suppressants to help you manage."

Yuro stepped closer to the chamber. "And if it fails?"

Nima looked at him, her eyes filled with a mix of hope and worry. "Then we lose our best chance."

He nodded, taking a deep breath. "Let's begin."

Yuro was positioned in the chamber. Electrodes were attached to his temples, chest, and wrists. The nanites, looking like silver liquid, were injected into him. A cold sensation spread throughout his body. The chamber sealed.

As the Genous integration began, Yuro's senses were overwhelmed. Vivid hallucinations engulfed him. He saw his childhood, the pain from his parents, the battles with Master Itai, and even the moments leading up to now with Ryuya. Each memory was intensified, the emotions raw and amplified.

Dr. Lin observed his vitals. "He's experiencing elevated heart rates. Administer the pain suppressants now."

Nima watched, her fists clenched. "Come on, Yuro."

The pain Yuro felt was immense. It was as if every cell was resisting, screaming in unison. Yet, between the bouts of agony, he felt moments of euphoria, of unparalleled power. The duality was maddening.

Hours seemed to pass. The chamber finally depressurized, and it hissed open. Yuro's body lay there, drenched in sweat, his expression one of profound exhaustion.

"He's done it," Dr. Theo whispered. "The Dark Matter Genous has been assimilated."

Nima approached, her relief evident. "Now, he must recover and learn to harness this power."

Dr. Lin nodded, "Yes, but for now, let him rest. His journey with the Genous has only just begun."

The room was silent, save for the beeping of the machines, as Yuro's unconscious form lay testament to the boundaries he had just pushed.
