Early in the morning, the sun was shining through the glass on the pink bed. Odette slightly moved and her flickering eyelashes cats two small shadows on her cheek. "Madam, are you awake? Sir asked you to go down for breakfast." Someone knocked on the door. Odette opened her lazy eyes. She scratched her messy hair, starched, yawned, and sat up upright from the bed.
"I'm awake. I'll be right there." Odette rubbed her eyes. It had been a long while since she slept so long. After a while, Odette found that the bed sheets around her were as smooth as new and there were no traces of someone sleeping at her side.
Could it be that Eric didn't return to the room last night? Odette quickly got up from the bed and ran to the bathroom to wash up as fast as possible. In the dining room, Eric was already sitting at the dining table. He was reading the newspaper in his hand and elegantly drank his coffee. The golden sunlight shone on him from the window. His movements were elegant, constantly showing the noble temperament of his body.
She didn't know till what time he worked yesterday but he was still so energetic this morning. He was indeed the darling of the heavens. "Madam, breakfast is ready." The head maid saw Odette walk in. She greeted me with a smile. Odette coughed lightly and looked away from Eric. After she walked into the restaurant, she naturally sat opposite Eric.
"Sorry, I was a little tired yesterday,s o O didn't wake up to make you breakfast." In her head, it was a responsibility for a wife to cook for her husband. She had just gotten married and her behaviors were a bit outrageous. Every day, she had to make her husband wait for her in the restaurant for her to wake up.
"Madam, how can I let you do something like cooking? You are tired at night, so you should sleep a little more in the morning. This the chicken soup that the kitchen especially stewed up for you to nourish your body." Odette's face turned red. Why did she feel like there was a deeper meaning in the main's words?
She looked at Eric, Eric put down the newspaper. His calm face also revealed a trace of a smile. The maid served a bowl of chicken soup in front of her. She knew it was delicious when she smelled it. "This chicken soup is delicious. Eric, you should drink some too. I can't drink so much by myself."
"No need. They specially made it for you. Drink it." After he finished speaking, he continued to eat porridge and side dishes in front of him. After Odette finished a bowl of soup, the maid served another bowl for her. She waved her hand, "No need, I'm already full. Give it to Eric."
Eric working overtime must have been tiring. It was only right for him to nourish his body. "Madam, this soup is especially for you to replenish your body. You were also tired last night, so you should drink more." The smile on the maid's face even became brighter, and her eyes seemed to emit a golden light. When Odette heard this, she felt something was not right. Then, she looked at Eric. He still had a smile on his face. Only then did Odette know that this seemed to have been misunderstood.
"I'm full. The car outside is still waiting for us. Eat faster." Eric put down the tableware and interrupted her words. "Where are we going?" Odette looked at Eric with a puzzled expression. "Let's go home." After Eric finished speaking, he sat in a wheelchair and walked towards the door.
They had been married for three days, so it was time for them to go home. It was a pity that her mother was not at home and there was no need for them to go to the Lawson family. She hoped that Eric kept her head down and didn't talk. She didn't seem to be in high spirits.
The Lawson family didn't like her. They definitely wouldn't want to see her. If those people made things difficult for her, Eric would lose his face. Odette seemed to be nervous when he saw her. Then, he pulled her hand and found that her palm was full of sweat. "Are you afraid?" "Not at all." She wanted to pull her hand from his but couldn't succeed.
"We are husband and wife." Eric reminds Odette. She could talk to him directly. Odette wanted to say something but stopped herself. She raised her head and looked at Eric's face, "I don't get along with the Lawson family."
Right now, Lawson's family was all trying to please Joey. They even allowed Paula to break off the engagement and let her secretly date Joey. In their eyes, Eric, who had both legs crippled, was far less valuable than Joey. She didn't know how the Lawson family would treat her husband. She was used to be treated differently. Now, would her husband also be looked down upon?
"Are you worried me?" Eric was in a good mood after hearing her words. Odette was speechless. Did he get the point wrong? Even if Eric wasn't favored these few years, he was still the second son of the Smith family. He had been living a pampered life since he was young. Naturally, he would not be looked down upon by others.
If the people of the Lawson family didn't treat him fairly, he wouldn't be able to bear it. "Don't worry, I'm here." Eric placed her hand on his leg. He looked forward but didn't see Odette's red eyes. Ever since she was young, other than her parents, no one ever had spoken to her in such a warm manner. It somewhat touched her heart.
The car stopped in front of the Lawson family's gate. Odette got out of the car first, then carefully helped Eric to sit down in the wheelchair. But she did not expect the Lawson family's door would be tightly shut and there was no one in front of the door.
"Didn't the people of the Lawson family know that Boss and Young Madam are coming home today?" Billy looked at the tightly shut door and could not help but shout out. He knew that the people hiding inside could hear his words. However, Eric didn't care at all. He held Odette's hand and waited quietly.
"Eric, why don't we go back first?" She was afraid that he had never faced such a grievance since he was young. Eric remained silent and stubbornly waited outside. When Billy saw, Eric's frightened expression, he knew that the people Lawson family were going to be in trouble today. "Billy." Eric coldly called Billy. "Sir." Billy bowed slightly and waited for his order. "Blow up the door." Eric's cold voice echoed throughout the entire street. His calm expression indicated that he wasn't joking.
