THIRD PERSON'S NARRATIVE
"Of course." His father's failure irritated Collins. He had looked forward to meeting Jane's mother, maybe of having her. "I take it one of the Kayes showed up?" he asked, trying so hard to hide his irritation.
"Yes. Taki Kayes. Along with a clan of shifters," Logan replisd as he rubbed his chin. "I can only hope cousin Francisco does not hear of the disaster." he continued.
"You think he will challenge you for the throne?" Collins asked as he munched on a cookie, wondering if he would be the one to eventually kill his father for the title.
"Yes. I had thought to get my sotie in place and with child before Francisco becomes too tempted. I would hate to have to kill one of our best fighters on the eve of another war with the vampires."
Collins shrugged. "I say we take him out now."
