Chereads / The Awakened Warrior / Chapter 19 - The Primordial of Fear Rises

Chapter 19 - The Primordial of Fear Rises

Lucium: He sat upon a large mountain cliff of black crystal-like material, feasting on a strange humanoid creature. He laid down what was remaining from the corpse, fleshy strings ripped out from his hand and stabbed into the corpse of the beast, attempting to turn it into 'perfection'. He snarled, "Even now, I still cannot act out my will to make everyone perfect...I need to find the shards of my real power."

????: "Why seek such destruction, when you can help everyone achieve the greatest form of peace?" A spectral figure appeared behind Lucium. It was made of small golden stardust with a blue stardust robe. Its glowing blue eyes were its only facial feature, it attempted to use its power of positivity to calm Lucium down, but he rejected it.

Lucium: "It's you again... What could you possibly want now?" He stood up, kicking the body off the cliff. "Haven't you bothered me enough?" He growled at the spectral figure.

????: The entity glanced at the ground briefly before returning its gaze to Lucium. "You know exactly why I am here," it said. "You have been visited by me numerous times and have heard my voice just as often. I desire only one thing."

Lucium: He laughed maniacally, "AH YES, your grand agenda to attempt and turn me to the light side right? You are fucking pathetic to think I would even want to talk to you after what you did to me." He slashed at the figure with his claw, only for it to phase through it. "You hide behind your spectral form, but once I find my primordial parts I'm going to rip you apart!"

????: He shook his head. "I acted out of loyalty to my father. It was painful for me to take that course of action, but I felt I had no choice but to stop the destruction you were causing. I genuinely believed it was necessary, even though it means I now carry this weight of regret towards you."

Lucium: He shot his head around toward the figure, his red eye glowing brighter with fury and hate, "OH, you have regrets about it?! I was trapped in that dark place for an unimaginable amount of time! You speak to me as if you understand, but you were the one who caused me that pain in the first place!"

????: He placed his hands together, staring at Lucium. Even though his face appeared emotionless, you could feel the sadness within him. "Please, brother, you have to understand where I am coming from—" Lucium cut him off.

Lucium: He was extremely close to his face, the flesh covering his mouth ripped open from anger, "YOU are not my brother! You are merely a creation designed to oppose me, and that is all you will ever mean to me."

????: The entity grew silent, looking at Lucium for a few more moments before turning his head to face the floor. "I always imagined, in a different reality, that we could've been true brothers. It truly breaks me that things turned out this way, especially for you."

Lucium: He grunted, turning away from the figure as he crawled down the mountain like a lizard. "Shut your damn mouth, I have heard enough of your voice for one damn day, if you aren't going to tell me something useful then don't open your mouth at all." He got up on his back two legs, looking toward the spectral figure following him.

????: "You know I cannot tell you where they are Lucium, it goes against the rules of me not being able to directly intervene with the world. It is your journey to explore and I cannot help you."

Lucium: "So you are useless then, leave, I don't need you I can figure it out myself..." He turned away from the figure, walking into a deep forest.

????: "Very well..." The figure vanished from where he once stood.

Lucium: He traveled through the deep forest of orange-glowing trees, jumping across giant mushrooms to traverse faster, he could sense himself within this forest as he went deeper into the woods. "It is here...I can sense it." As he walked further into the woods, he saw an angelic-like device sitting upon a runic platform. He crawled up to the platform, inspecting the device itself.

He saw a small keyhole on the top of the cylinder device, his flesh-like strings ripped out from his hands and crawled into the device. He was shifting around the inside of the device until it made a clicking sound, it began to open up like a flower, revealing a glowing red shard. "Yes! I knew it was close." He reached down, pulling the shard out from the device, as he held it in his grasp it began to lose its color slowly as he absorbed the power contained in the crystal shard.

When he dropped the shard, he witnessed red and black smoke-like energy erupt from between his fingers. "Finally...one piece of my power down, three more to go." He looked up, realizing the device began to shift and change into something else. "Hmmm..." The device formed into a large archangel-enchanted robot, its metal wings stretched far out as a spear was summoned into its grasp.

Arch-A: It slammed its spear onto the ground, shifting its golden gaze toward Lucium, "Return the shard's power to where you got it, or you will face the consequences of the Trinity Order." It spun the spear, before flying at Lucium with its weapon pointed toward his chest.

Lucium: He laughed maniacally, holding out his claw toward the robot as it drew closer, "You're too late!" The same red and black smoke formed on his hand and the robot was halted mid-attack by the force of his power. He held his hands up high, all of the energy drawing together, everything that surrounded him was being stripped away into a blank whiteness.

A string lay before him in his grasp, its golden power glitching from the chains of red smoke that wrapped around it. He looked around at the blankness that he stood within, "Ah, this is all new to me, perhaps my old power has adapted to the new world as well."

He looked down at the golden string, laughing as his red eye glowed a bright red, "The TIME for my glorious correction has finally begun! All who witness me, brace yourselves, for perfection shall be unleashed upon all! It will be magnificent! It will be utterly GRAND! Everyone will tremble in awe. AND THOSE WHO GO AGAINST MY ORDER SHALL BE NO MORE UNDER MY MIGHTY RULE! Nothing will stand in my way! Hahaha!"

He slashed his claw down on the string, shattering it into nothingness. "If one person goes against me, the entire timeline will die with them! Even if it's just a robot! FREE WILL SHALL BE NO MORE FOR THE WEAK, ONLY MY MIND CAN CONTAIN THE TRUTH!" He laughed maniacally as the last of the timeline's essence faded away into nothingness. Before he could act any further, he was punched across his face, causing his body to fly deeper into the void of white.

Arch-A: The machine clashed its fists together, "I was made to kill you if the shard was ever stolen, and that is exactly what I plan to do. By the command of Xerion, you shall die by my mechanical hand!" It ripped its spear out from the void floor, flapping its wings once, and then suddenly appearing in front of Lucium.

Lucium: He slashed the machine with his claw, knocking it away. "My 'brother' made you? I will compliment him on making a worthy test for my new abilities! Authyra Uvgla (Pathetic Scrap)!" He slashed the space between them with the red smoke, the once infinite white void collapsed in on itself, making it a finite small cube.

Arch-A: It did not hesitate to attack once the void had shrunk, thrusting its spear into Luciums chest, pinning him to the ground. "Your efforts to limit me are useless!" The machines fists began to glow a bright white as it clashed its fists together on Luciums head, destroying it. It stood up straight, towering over the body, ripping the spear from Luciums body, "How easily you fall, even if you had beaten me, my brothers are far superior to me and you would have fallen against them."

Lucium: He grabbed ahold of the machine's shoulders, staring down at it from behind, "Is that so?!" The original body faded into dust, "Then I look forward to killing the rest of your mechanical brothers!" He threw the machine against the void wall, shattering it, and revealing a black abyss behind the blank wall.

Arch-A: The machine attempted to stand and attack once more, but Luciums foot slammed down against its body, his claw-like feet stabbing into its armored chest. It grabbed ahold of Luciums leg, attempting to push him off, but it was no use, "You believe yourself to be victorious, but there will always be another to stop you! Even if my brothers cannot destroy you, the pure one will slay you!"

Lucium: He laughed in the face of the machine, "The Golden Warrior has no power against me anymore, and neither does the one they call 'Radna'. With these new enhanced capabilities, I will eradicate them before they can even think of getting in my way again! That is if they can even get past Amon."

He stared down at it, his smile widening and ripping his face open, "But your death will never come, your defeat will stay within you forever, as you serve me now!" His hand ripped open, the flesh strings entering into the body of the machine, it wrapped around certain parts of the limbs.

Arch-A: "NO!" The machine jolted around, glitching as its white energy slowly died and left its body, being replaced with a blood-red energy, its white and silver armor changed to a black and blood-red color, and its once gold eyes turned red as it stood back up slowly. "Master Lucium...I await your command." It bowed before him, the fleshy strings becoming one with the robot.

Lucium: He held up his hand, repairing the void wall before speaking, "The time for correction has begun, free will shall be no more. Find Star, and kill him, there is no room for people like him in my new world."

Arch-A: "Yes sire." The machine flapped its wings once, and a red spiral of energy surrounded it as it teleported away from the void.
