"This way please." He took hold of her hand and led her gently to the dining room. The table was already arranged when she got there, and her mouth salivated when she saw how richly cooked the spaghetti was.
Marcus prepared a plate of spaghetti with some tomato sauce on top and a chicken he microwaved. Beside the plates was a glass of orange juice and a bottle of chilled water.
"Hmm… Marcus." Arianna called, then took her eyes from the plate to his.
"Yes, don't you like chicken?" He asked, already chiding himself for not thinking of asking her about her preference first.
She giggled and shook her head,
"Not that. I only wanted to know why there was one plate, aren't you eating?" She asked.
Marcus let out an inaudible sigh,
"Don't worry about me Anna, you have to eat up so you can take your medicine." He assured, then pulled a seat out for her.
